❛ not entirely alone. ❜ though he’d most certainly be better off that way.
Alex looked up at the stranger, reluctantly. “Well then, take a seat.”
“Alex, nice name is it short for Alexander?” She loved names she found it could describe the person. “Oh me I’ve lived here for about ten years I like to travel a lot…so yea bored…I am not used to being in one place very long but my family is here and you are very interesting.” Her eyes sparkled with intrigue.

The man smiled. “No one calls me Alexander, except my boss.” Alex was feeling comfortable near the girl and was unconsciously leaning his body closer to hers. “A traveler who hasn’t traveled a lot. How sad. I travel for work, but never anywhere grand.” Alex stood up and excused himself. “I’m grabbing another drink, anything for you? My treat, Clara.”
‘’Hey, I’m not fifteen years old.’’ She rolled her eyes and grimaced her face because of the smell of alcohol. ‘’And I can’t sleep, I don’t know why.’’ She shrugged.
“Poor baby, can’t sleep.” He smirked and inched closer to the girl, placing a hand on her hip. “I bet you didn’t imagine meeting me tonight, but I know a way to help you sleep.”
Pilar bites her lip and laughs as she takes a seat in the booth. “Yes Alex, jeez, I don’t know whether it’s boring or hot when you get all bussiness-y,” she jokes, “But we’ll go and I’ll get you in with the regulars so you can get your little story.” She tosses her hair back and orders a drink, “Do you like working at the Daily Hollows ? ”
Do you like working at the Daily Hollows? Her question was unexpected, but the answer was easy for Alex. “It’s hard, for sure. I’ve made many enemies in the city and have had to make some... morally questionable choices, but thats just who I am. There isn’t a job I’d rather do.” He clenched one of his fists but smiled at his friend. “Thank you, for getting me into the club. And, uh, thanks for helping my this past year.”
“And here I thought I was the one with a depressing drinking life. May i join you?”
“The more the merrier, right? I don’t mind the company.”
“Life would be terribly boring without risks” She said seriously as she brought the glas to her lips again “Why thank you i’ve had it sense i was born” She joked “Just a girl, ya know about this tall, cute as a button.” She smiled with her eyes ignoring the burn in her own throat
“Alex,” the man replied. “Alex Wade.” He swirled his drink around in the glass over and over again, refusing to drink any more of he horrible liquid. “I’ll tell my name to cute blonde like you any day,” he said with a chuckle. “So, what’s your story? A girl like you, talking to a guy like me at this hour?” Alex leaned forward, intrigued. “You’re either bored, lonely, or horny. I’m guessing it isn’t the latter.”
adrivn:
“Sounds like the best time to drink to me.”
He smirked. “A girl who can keep up with my outrageous drinking schedule.”
shapeshifterxaudrey:
‘’I prefer read books alone at 1 a.m.’’
“A bibliophile, huh? Isn’t it past your bed time?” He leaned a bit closer to her; the smell of alcohol strong on his breath.
pilarabalos:
“If anyone’s the sexier of us two, it’s me and we both know it, but think what you want.”
Alex laughed a shook his head. He put an arm around her shoulder and lead her over towards an empty booth. “On a more serious note, P, did you get me on the list to that night club? My editors a dick and has been riding me to look into their drug trafficking claims.” He leaned back on the booth and took a sip from his glass, looking at Pilar expectantly.
claraxredfern:
“And yet you do all the same.” She smiles wickedly Taking a drink. “Clara..And you?”
“What’s life without a few risks?” He smirked and took a small sip from the glass. The liquid burned his throat on the way down.“Clara,” he repeated her name. “Beautiful name.” The man set the glass down and ran his finger along the rim. “My name?” He chuckled. “Who’s asking?”
ezraxrcdfcrn:
Consumed in his own thoughts for a moment, the man suddenly perked up when he heard a voice at the other end of the bar. “Drinking alone, talking to yourself– people might start to think you’re strange if you keep it up.”
He looked up from his bottle and turned his attention to the man who responded to his absent-minded thought. “They might, but in a place like Hollow City, is there ever anything that isn’t strange?” He smirked and moved down the bar, taking a seat a stool over from the man. “Alex,” he said, taking a sip of his drink. “You?”
catherinespecter:
Cat wondered why the club was so empty, given Sinister was the most visited place in Hollow City. She sighed, leaning over the bar, dark hues staring into the man. “Beer isn’t a drink. What’s your poison?”
beer isn’t a drink “Rum and coke for me, dear,” he replied, leaning his forearm on the counter. “You know, living in the area for almost two years, I’d never heard of this bar before a few days ago. I gotta say, nice atmosphere.”
claraxredfern:
“Drink?” She asks the person standing next to her, she holds out a glass filled with a dark colored liquid
“From my experience, I’ve learned that it’s never a good idea to take mysterious liquid from beautiful strangers,” Alex said, grabbing the glass from her hands.
pilarabalos:
“Smarter ? Yes. Sexier ? Questionable. Besides, if I said that then it would sound like I’m not available.”
“Whoa, I’m not trying to interfere with your sex life, strictly business, P, but you can’t deny the truth.”
“Thanks for finally showing up, Pilar. I sent you that text like, half an hour ago. I was worried I’d have to stumble back to my apartment alone.”
“Excuse my tardiness, but it should be expected by now. I met up with a guy for drinks and when I tried to bail he didn’t really get it, but I managed.”
“You should’ve just told him you had a smarter, sexier, guy to meet up with at another bar."
“Thanks for finally showing up, Pilar. I sent you that text like, half an hour ago. I was worried I’d have to stumble back to my apartment alone.”
