âAlright, sassy, hurry up. Weâll be late.âÂ

â not entirely alone. â though heâd most certainly be better off that way.
Alex looked up at the stranger, reluctantly. âWell then, take a seat.â
âAlex, nice name is it short for Alexander?â She loved names she found it could describe the person. âOh me Iâve lived here for about ten years I like to travel a lotâŚso yea boredâŚI am not used to being in one place very long but my family is here and you are very interesting.â Her eyes sparkled with intrigue.

The man smiled. âNo one calls me Alexander, except my boss.â Alex was feeling comfortable near the girl and was unconsciously leaning his body closer to hers. âA traveler who hasnât traveled a lot. How sad. I travel for work, but never anywhere grand.â Alex stood up and excused himself. âIâm grabbing another drink, anything for you? My treat, Clara.â
ââHey, Iâm not fifteen years old.ââ She rolled her eyes and grimaced her face because of the smell of alcohol. ââAnd I canât sleep, I donât know why.ââ She shrugged.
âPoor baby, canât sleep.â He smirked and inched closer to the girl, placing a hand on her hip. âI bet you didnât imagine meeting me tonight, but I know a way to help you sleep.âÂ
Pilar bites her lip and laughs as she takes a seat in the booth. âYes Alex, jeez, I donât know whether itâs boring or hot when you get all bussiness-y,â she jokes, âBut weâll go and Iâll get you in with the regulars so you can get your little story.â She tosses her hair back and orders a drink, âDo you like working at the Daily Hollows ? â
Do you like working at the Daily Hollows? Her question was unexpected, but the answer was easy for Alex. âItâs hard, for sure. Iâve made many enemies in the city and have had to make some... morally questionable choices, but thats just who I am. There isnât a job Iâd rather do.â He clenched one of his fists but smiled at his friend. âThank you, for getting me into the club. And, uh, thanks for helping my this past year.â
âAnd here I thought I was the one with a depressing drinking life. May i join you?â
âThe more the merrier, right? I donât mind the company.â
âLife would be terribly boring without risksâ She said seriously as she brought the glas to her lips again âWhy thank you iâve had it sense i was bornâ She joked âJust a girl, ya know about this tall, cute as a button.â She smiled with her eyes ignoring the burn in her own throat
âAlex,â the man replied. âAlex Wade.â He swirled his drink around in the glass over and over again, refusing to drink any more of he horrible liquid. âIâll tell my name to cute blonde like you any day,â  he said with a chuckle. âSo, whatâs your story? A girl like you, talking to a guy like me at this hour?â Alex leaned forward, intrigued. âYouâre either bored, lonely, or horny. Iâm guessing it isnât the latter.âÂ
adrivn:
âSounds like the best time to drink to me.â
He smirked. âA girl who can keep up with my outrageous drinking schedule.â
 shapeshifterxaudrey:
ââI prefer read books alone at 1 a.m.ââ
âA bibliophile, huh? Isnât it past your bed time?â He leaned a bit closer to her; the smell of alcohol strong on his breath. Â
pilarabalos:
âIf anyoneâs the sexier of us two, itâs me and we both know it, but think what you want.âÂ
Alex laughed a shook his head. He put an arm around her shoulder and lead her over towards an empty booth. âOn a more serious note, P,  did you get me on the list to that night club? My editors a dick and has been riding me to look into their drug trafficking claims.â He leaned back on the booth and took a sip from his glass, looking at Pilar expectantly.Â
claraxredfern:
âAnd yet you do all the same.â She smiles wickedly Taking a drink. âClara..And you?â
âWhatâs life without a few risks?â He smirked and took a small sip from the glass. The liquid burned his throat on the way down.âClara,â he repeated her name. âBeautiful name.â The man set the glass down and ran his finger along the rim. âMy name?â He chuckled. âWhoâs asking?âÂ
ezraxrcdfcrn:
Consumed in his own thoughts for a moment, the man suddenly perked up when he heard a voice at the other end of the bar. âDrinking alone, talking to yourselfâ people might start to think youâre strange if you keep it up.â
He looked up from his bottle and turned his attention to the man who responded to his absent-minded thought. âThey might, but in a place like Hollow City, is there ever anything that isnât strange?â He smirked and moved down the bar, taking a seat a stool over from the man. âAlex,â he said, taking a sip of his drink. âYou?â
catherinespecter:
Cat wondered why the club was so empty, given Sinister was the most visited place in Hollow City. She sighed, leaning over the bar, dark hues staring into the man. âBeer isnât a drink. Whatâs your poison?â
beer isnât a drink âRum and coke for me, dear,â he replied, leaning his forearm on the counter. âYou know, living in the area for almost two years, Iâd never heard of this bar before a few days ago. I gotta say, nice atmosphere.âÂ
claraxredfern:
âDrink?â She asks the person standing next to her, she holds out a glass filled with a dark colored liquidÂ
âFrom my experience, Iâve learned that itâs never a good idea to take mysterious liquid from beautiful strangers,â Alex said, grabbing the glass from her hands.Â
pilarabalos:
âSmarter ? Yes. Sexier ? Questionable. Besides, if I said that then it would sound like Iâm not available.â
âWhoa, Iâm not trying to interfere with your sex life, strictly business, P, but you canât deny the truth.â
âThanks for finally showing up, Pilar. I sent you that text like, half an hour ago. I was worried Iâd have to stumble back to my apartment alone.âÂ
âExcuse my tardiness, but it should be expected by now. I met up with a guy for drinks and when I tried to bail he didnât really get it, but I managed.â
âYou shouldâve just told him you had a smarter, sexier, guy to meet up with at another bar."
âThanks for finally showing up, Pilar. I sent you that text like, half an hour ago. I was worried Iâd have to stumble back to my apartment alone.âÂ
