If you look around, everything you see; it doesn't matter anyway.
World ablaze, opposition, none of us wiser, fate at the hands of another's decisions,
A world in divergent plains, pitfalls, forgetful, manipulated masses to erase their faults,
None stand up, punks and rebels of the past forgotten, upsetting to see, isn't it?
This ache for something to change, very few stand up for the change we need.
They act as if the world will change for them, act as if everything will come out fine in the end; thoughts and prayers aren't enough,
Only for nothing to change, no one to take up arms for the revolution, none to truly oppose with more than empty wishes.
Hold us to a standard they don't uphold themselves, force us into a box they claim we deserve, blame it on their version of the truth,
Everything bent and broken, but nobody bothers to change it, no one bothers to set aside their inhibitions for the sake of freedom,
Learned to understand the concept yet I still don’t get it: we’re screaming inside for change, they still walk free with their crimes, their hatred intact,
Plea to another for a chance at that fate of which you hope, the freedom you've lost, take back for you what was revoked.
Maybe there's another, but there usually isn't, compliance the new norm, you're on your own in resistance, it's hard I know,
Almost makes you feel defeated, down, hopeless for the fate of which you dream, the fate you feel you deserve,
Kneel down to another, a fate I wish upon none of those who fight, those who force away from what's wrong,
Even if they lose, they begin a chain reaction, a wish for another to come to their aid, one they inspire to fight against the hate.
Then and only then are all those who were forced to kneel see the other side, they fate they were denied, rise up, join the fight,
Hold onto their beliefs tight as they wish for them to prove true, no longer watching, now fighting actively for their rights and their fate,
Even when held down, we get back up again in return, push the tension into a conflict, feel the will of those before you.
Will to fight, the methodology through which we rise, watch in hate, lie in wait, see through their lies; more than they realize,
A revolution won by will, by brute force against the oppression, the opposition; we will not be silenced, we will not surrender,
Yet, that time is far away it seems, too distant for our eyes, our foresight, we believe in our soldiers, carry their legacy when they're gone.
To see the other side, we're all fighters in the end, we carry our forefathers' legacy, our DNA, the pressure from which we rose,
Only then do we see, the fire in our visage's reflection, the power we hold, the hope we carry in ourselves, we'll make it through.
Hold onto that spark, hold it tight, they won't see it until it becomes a burning pyre, an ember to burn across their sky,
Everything holds true, just see the other side, the way I have before, carry our burdens for ourselves and only,
Look see it now, stand in a crowd, survive through opposition, through hate, pushback, violence, erasure, notice the signs,
Pleas are unnecessary now, we need only look back at ourselves, inside our hearts, heads, souls, bodies as a whole.
Come to see the world for what it is, a sense of calm it brings, the fate we don't see, the history we breathe,
Reliance builds compliance, we fight a silent war, with ourselves, with others, within communities and further,
Everything comes out through the noise, violence doesn't stay silent, not when it's seen, acknowledged, fought,
All we see, the unknown, through the seas of which we traveled, the millions of us there are, they can't ignore,
They only see the weakness in us, in our hearts, in our souls, in our lungs, the air we breathe, they see what they want,
Even when they're so sure, they fail to see the ambition we hold for our own, the lines that tie us together across the world.
The path is dark, covered in bushes, our soldiers light the way for us regardless,
Hold on, fight, we're all believer in ourselves in the end, that's all it was,
Everything we hold dear, it can't be destroyed without leaving fragments.
Push through the noise, we'll come out alright, regardless of the fight it'll take,
All of us in solidarity won't be stopped, we need to come to an understanding,
The world may turn on us in the end, it won't matter regardless of what's said,
Hold onto your history, your legacy, the people you defend.
The lines blur from good or bad, push forward through it,
Only then, in the end we'll fight for what we believe.
Then and only then are we free, only then we'll be able to see,
Help those of your roots, you don't know their struggles,
All of us are divided, it isn't what we need as a whole,
The life we lead is pulled by those above, those we don't see.
"Great, whatever," you'd say, ignore the issues you constantly see,
Really, we need each other, our best and our worst, we need both sides,
Each of us needs to admit it, each of us needs to believe it,
All of us have a duty, we don't see it so easily, we need to hold together,
The world isn't perfect, it wasn't built that way; we need to build it ourselves.
Forget the division, forget the inner hatred,
Until we're all free the infighting is meaningless,
The division is nonsense, believe none of it,
Unless we're all free we suffer,
Release your inhibitions,
Either we fight for our fate or we surrender to their hate.
