i'm a little past the release day but that's alright

tomodachi life: living the dream!! i love the game so much, been playing it practically everyday. unfortunately, i wasn't able to finish this piece in time for the actual day, but that isn't unexpected for me

my thoughts on it right now: the game is incredible, and the style is so nice. i love the colors and how vibrant the game feels. also, the way that miis roam around and freely interact made me realize how confined it felt in the previous game. there are, of course, a bunch of things from the previous game that i kinda miss (rankings board, having a diversity of environments in cutscenes or dates, baby interaction, etc.) and there is much to be desired, but overall i would definitely say that LTD is a step-up. been enjoying the new crush system and lingo, but also how non-romantic problems feel more interesting in this game. it feels like there's so much more to the miis than waiting for a heart bubble, which was the most exciting thing for most people before

overall, the game is awesome and i love it so much, but some content updates or patches could help with the lacking areas

happy tomodachi life: ltd everybody!!!!!! i've been playing nonstop whenever i have free time so i've yet to give a status update:

it's beautiful, it's stunning, it's exquisite, game of the year, game of the century.

finally, after almost 8 and a half years of waiting, tomodachi life's sequel is gonna be here!!

the latest direct was amazing: the mc constantly struggling romantically, the miis and their designs, the art style, queer miis (we're actually so back, what i've wanted a sequel the most for) (enby + aro + ace too... never thought i'd see the day), and quirks! truly a signature soap opera from the franchise. best day of my life was february 27th last year, but it's looking like that will change in 2 months! the longest 2 months of my life...

anyway, since the prequel was a highlight from my childhood, it only felt fitting to draw angie and mocha's relationship. angie, even after all of her blunders and struggles, finds companionship in her teddy bear from many, many years ago. i think it's beautiful.

also, happy lunar new year! hope everyone finds peace and happiness from the things or people you love in the years to come.

my entry for clip studio's 46th illustration contest for cats! i love cats a lot (if you couldn't tell by my username) so this theme was kinda perfect. while i don't have a cat anymore, i wanted to depict that feeling of coming home to a beloved pet.
