hallo I have. question. ive been working my way through legs 100dmv playlist and enjoy the storytelling but also im getting to the end of the playlist and feel like im still missing a lot. are there any videos or such that arent on the 100dmv playlist I should be watching? or any particularly crucial episodes i may have skipped?
the nature of the 100dmv ARG was such that a lot of the critical plot developments were, in fact, not in the videos at all. the main body of auxiliary media you may be missing is as follows:
various lore books hidden in Legundo's Hardcore S2 world download, archived (with alt text) by @autisticlalna
these audio files, archived by @fogwitchoftheevermore, originally hosted on Legundo's website as solutions to existing ARG puzzles. Deliberation was the solution to a three-stage puzzle hidden within the Dimensional Doors modpack download; There You Are is the solution to the puzzle video Amelioration hidden within the 100 Days Space video (our breakdown of that getting solved here).
the Decem lore segments from the 2000 days video are not present in each individual video; @fallow-foot was kind enough to archive all of them in one compilation.
a couple leg.gg posts archived here by yours truly
we hope this is helpful -- we may be missing a few files from earlier or later in the ARG, and the Nights puzzle remains with its very last step unsolved and possibly unsolvable due to the site change, but this tends to be the additional canon people work from.
alright can someone tell me where to find the decem lore? Asking for no particular reason (eight. The reason is eight)
IS THERE A NEW NUMBER-NAMED CREACHER TO GO INSANE OVER WHAT HAPPENED
ok hi. Hi. yes yes there is.
So Legundo's newest SBK episode just came out. And it was a mostly normal episode all things considered. There was a green screen in the episode, which was new, but nothing too bad happened. Until The End.
Because now, we have Eight. Eight, named after the 8 walls of MCYT storytelling. (go check out the wonderful essay by solar solararc https://archiveofourown.org/works/76668161/chapters/200667701 )
We do not know what is going on with him. We had 90 seconds of monologue and then the video ended.
"You think I was done? He's not listening now, he's off to sleep. I never get to sleep, I never get to rest. You probably thought I was done talking to you. I'd been abandoned like some other plotlines before. But no, not yet. Not if I can help it. That's a story for another day. Don't worry, it'll be explained whenever he gets around to it. Summarizing all of my actions. "But in the meantime, a lot of you have been wondering. What's the goal, what's the plan, what am I hoping for? I'll be honest. I just want to survive. So many of this, so many of me, so many of many others like me. We just get put through the ringer for your entertainment. Thinking it's so easy. "Not this time. This time I'm changing things. I'm gonna be in charge for a change. I'm going to be in control. Never going to forget to turn my eyes on again. "Well, keep your ears out. I need to make sure you're still listening." [glitch effect on screen] "Oh what do you call me? I can already read the comments don't worry, see the Tiktoks. I See You. Call me Eight. Like the walls. "You seem pretty obsessed with them anyway."
And then the video ends with this image.
System Crash. Flashing on stream until the video ends.
so tl;dr.
YES THERE'S ANOTHER NEW NUMBER-NAMED CREACHUR TO GO INSANE OVER
vampires SMP has consumed me body and soul, and I have created a fanfic about it. Currently 3 chapters, figured those of you over on the tumblr might enjoy it.
An Archive of Our Own, a project of the Organization for Transformative Works
It does require an ao3 account (I locked all of my fics after my stuff got picked up in the AI scrape this summer).
After a month-and-a-bit hiatus, chapter 4 is here and chapter 5 is in-progress! Enjoy and let me know if you’re coming from my teeny tiny tumblr, I’m curious
if anyone was going to make art or fiction of the 2006 gang going bowling, i just need it to be known as a part of my lore as a person and what will be true for v!shelby too… i was on the varsity bowling team in high school. i’m good at bowling. she’d be smoking everyone at this game. except *maybe* abolish because he can aim a gun pretty good. i also like to imagine that v!shelby knows how to shoot a gun because she would have taken classes to be prepared for self defense when dealing with werewolves before coming to Oakhurst. anyway that’s all from me for today
Shubble Shelby the woman that you are
“Do you think V!Cleo and V!Pearl are girlfriends or wives? Do you think they get married? Who officiated?”
I think V!Cleo and V!Pearl care about each other so hard that Cleo sometimes just stops and stares at Pearl and thinks about how they don’t deserve this. They wonder if any of this is real. I think she plants a field of sunflowers and watches them grow. I think sometimes she complains of being hungry (because a vampire never stops being being hungry) and Pearl doesn’t and Cleo wonders if somehow they are so broken that they cannot handle their urges while Pearl can. I think they’re afraid to say “I love you.” but that they try to press it into every kiss and every finger they entangle into Pearl’s. I think they slaughter animals with precision and share the blood with Pearl and try not to remember what it felt like to kill a human. I think they sometimes lay down with Oscar on their chest and just have to sit and process the feeling because they have to try so hard to be grounded in their body. I think Pearl calls Cleo her heart and Cleo is terrified of the thought of loving and being loved that dearly.
I think Pearl sleeps with a sword under her pillow, ready to attack anyone or anything who tries to harm them at a moment’s notice. And sometimes she sees the red glare of Cleo’s eyes in the dark and she strikes out on instinct, and Cleo has to hold her until she calms down. I think Pearl takes way too long to process her simplistic moral code of “I kill monsters who kill people” because she looks at Cleo and they are so good and so wonderful and they have killed so so many people, more than Pearl can even comprehend and the thought of hurting them makes Pearl feel sick. I think that like Cleo, the hunger never goes away, but Pearl never verbalizes it because she’s still trying to process that she is different than she once was. I think her bones break and shift once a month and she wakes crying, desperately afraid that she might have hurt Cleo (she never does.). I think for a bit she tries to continue her quest to kill all werewolves and she only stops when she comes back to the castle after a hunt horribly injured and Cleo begs her to because I don’t think she would stop for her own sake. I think Cleo asks her “and what happens when the last werewolf is you?” And Pearl sputters for an answer. I think Cleo calls Pearl their heart and Pearl feels the word curdle in her chest because the idea of being someone’s moral compass is more pressure than she could ever handle.
But to answer your question; I think at some point they just start calling each other wives but they never actually get married about it.
Once again coming back to defending V!Cleo because I’m thinking about them again. If you can’t find their weird psyche interesting I can’t understand you.
They literally spent 80 years under a vampire’s thrall being forced to kill people and follow a ten step code. The code at least seems to be something that’s been happening since even before they were thralled. We don’t know at what age Cleo’s mother… procured her, but it was likely quite young. Then when Cleo is 13, their mother is killed by the coven and for one of two reasons, Cleo is deemed thrall-able.
What does the code say about thralls? Well, rule 8 says that if someone is powerful or useful, you don’t turn them, you enthrall them. So 13 year old Cleo was deemed, more likely, useful enough to keep around but not worthy enough to be turned for 80 years. Because the way Cleo phrased it, turning was a gift you had to earn. And the actions they were forced to do when thralled didn’t earn them that. And then, somehow, Cleo breaks out of the thrall and (if I had to guess), probably killed or at least attacked the vampire who had them under it. That’s my guess because Cleo has said they absolutely cannot go back to the coven they grew up in because they did a “very silly thing” on the way out. Who knows, knowing Cleo she may have lit the place on fire.
And so where does Cleo go after that? After 80 years following the same 10 rules and literally not being in control of her body? She goes to the only other place she’s heard of where there might be vampires, fully expecting them to be there and to be living by the same code. Because she literally doesn’t know any other way to live. This is one of my biggest points when showing that Cleo is emotionally immature and confused, because not only is she running back to the only thing familiar to her even after she’s just broken out of it (and thinks she’s a monster for living the way she has), but she automatically assumes all vampires must live by the code she was taught growing up.
I can’t help but wonder what it is Cleo was hoping to find in Oakhurst. Was she looking to be placed under a thrall again after she had just broken out of one, so unused to bodily autonomy that she would go back to doing anything to be useful? Was she looking to be turned, finally deemed worthy of the honor by a new group of vampires? Did she want to live the way she did before her mother’s death, a human among vampires, following their rules and doing what was asked of her? Did she think she could take over the new coven (Rule 2: Authority is taken, not earned)? I highly doubt the last one, or Cleo would have tried to do it when they were turned. All of it seems so silly, so hopeful and almost childish.
And every single action Cleo takes, you can feel the way it’s informed by the code once you’ve read it.
She shows up in town and there’s no vampires. Bad start, but okay, okay, I can deal with this. Why am I here? I’m looking for a family crypt. There’s nothing supernatural here, there was a plague. Just a plague.
Rule 4: Vampires are not real. Anyone saying otherwise should be mocked, eliminated, but not turned.
What did I do before Oakhurst? I was a farmer and I did labor for ungrateful and very powerful people who watched me and did nothing to help. I resent people who abuse their power over others and aren’t willing to get their hands dirty.
Rule 3: Tell the truth as much as possible. People misjudge the knife they can see.
Avid is running around screaming about vampires but I haven’t seen any and either ways Rule 4 tells me what I should do in this scenario. I don’t want to kill anyone anymore, I won’t eliminate him, but I can mock him.
I have to find people within the group who see that Avid is acting crazy and are willing to ignore or mock him with me. The Doc and Pearl are seemingly my best bets in this case.
Rule 6: Find supporters with rational voices in as many groups as possible.
Do not get too close anyone. Don’t do it. Please please don’t. I can’t afford to love them. I know what happened to the last person I loved.
Rule 9: Anyone can be a threat. Plan accordingly.
Okay now everyone has seen vampires, but there are appears to be only three of them and if we stick together no one should get turned.
Rule 1: A coven divided cannot stand.
People are getting turned and the town is falling apart. I have been turned against my will. This makes no sense. Pyro didn’t even mean to turn me, he’s a fledgling, he shouldn’t even be out here.
Rule 7: Only turn those you can stand. Don’t turn out of pity or carelessness or fear.
I should try to play both sides, at least until I can escape. I should try to teach all these other newly turned fledglings the code because it might bring them some organization and it makes me useful. It makes this place more like where I grew up. Maybe the vampires can protect me.
Rule 10: Your fledglings are your responsibility, they share your successes and your failures.
I should tell Martyn and Pearl, at least. The Doc too. Rule 3, Rule 6. I’m not getting attached it just makes sense.
Avid continues to be unpredictable and irrational. He continues to attack vampires at a moments notice and his promises to act differently are all hollow. He is a wildcard.
Rule 5: Unpredictable risks must be eliminated physically or socially.
Apo is turned and won’t tell anyone. Apo tells everyone but plays both sides terribly. Apo hates what they have become. Everyone can see right through her. I hate her. We are so similar and I hate myself. Rule 1, Rule 3, Rule 5, Rule 9.
The Doc is making a cure and even if I don’t believe it’s real, I will entertain it. It’s keeping him somewhat sane, it’s keeping the town hopeful and making them work together. Rule 1, Rule 6.
Avis is dead. Good. He was a liability. Rule 5 screams in my ears.
I need Pearl to be safe. The only way for her to be safe is if she’s turned. I need to ask her to be turned but she’s a monster hunter and I am a monster. Rule 9 screams in my ears. I don’t love her, she’s just useful. She’s like a pet to me. If she were to die I would kill them all. If she were to turn on me I would kill them all. It’s okay to have one good thing, even if I don’t deserve it, right? Maybe we should turn her. Scott says I want to keep her around forever and I don’t correct him. Rule 3. Some part of my mind screams that turning her to protect her is breaking rule 7, but I can justify it by saying she would make a great vampire. I don’t want more blood on my hands. I won’t kill her.
Legs asks me to turn him if I have to. Only if he’s about to die. I say yes. Rule 7 shatters before me. He’s turned before I get the chance anyways.
I make a plan to get as many people out as possible and it works somehow. Not for Martyn, or Ren, but we got 8 of us out alive and that’s so many more than we should have. Legs is dead. He did one last beautiful thing. I killed him, one last sin to add to my infinite pile. The code is useless. I have is my own actions and my own eternity and a girl who refused to call me a beast and sunflower field we plant together and a cat we brought back to life by loving it so much and a castle to fix up and I know I have not earned any of it but I can try. I can try.
The Map of Oakhurst
Sorry for the repost but I figured I'd post it again in higher quality (hopefully Tumblr can handle that) and also explain a bit more about how I made this
I used the vampire teleportation UI to find all the beacon coords (other than Town which has never been desecrated)
The way I deduced the location of the Town beacon was by using the "New Vampire" markers and estimating from there (particularly this one where Pyro stands right next to the beacon tower as Apo is turned roughly 20-30 blocks south from the Castle beacon)
Then I marked all the coords on a coordinate plane (although I adjusted them to put north up)
And the rest is just based on watching a lot of POVs and taking a lot of screenshots, noting the direction of the sun (or moon) and the time of day in each clip etc. I might still have made errors here obviously, but it's probably good enough until the actual map is released by POW Creations
No tombs unfortunately, it was too much of a pain to figure out where all of them were and I'm too much of a perfectionist to only mark SOME of the tombs but not ALL of the tombs
Also yes I know it's probably a bit late for this when the series is probably about to end but I did the work so I might as well publish it. Also I think it looks pretty nice.
I actually already realised that the river curves more towards the center on both sides, which actually makes a lot of sense, but oh well. Probably not worth correcting it now (especially since the map is already out of date what with the forest fire and the wall being gone and everything)

ok no I've gotta add more to this (assumes Scott was put to sleep sometime in the late 1300s, and therefore was turned sometime in the 500s CE)
after seeing the "doesn't know about the letter J" I went and put on my language history hat and found some very funny things:
Assuming he's still Scottish, he would have spent his early life speaking Pictish or Old Irish. By the time he was put to sleep, this would have evolved into Middle Irish or potentially early Modern Scottish Gaelic.
IF he spoke English (which is a pretty big if), he would not speak modern English. oh, you may think, of course! He'd use all the thees and thous like Shakespeare. WRONG. Shakespeare was writing in the late 1500s and early 1600s, in what is now called Early Modern English. When he was put to sleep, people were speaking Middle English. the shit that the Canterbury Tales were written in. that language is damn near incomprehensible to modern English speakers without advanced degrees. THAT is what Scott would have been hearing when he went to sleep.
How about when he was young? you may ask. You fool. That linguistic branch (at least for English) is old enough that scholars are still arguing about what might have been spoken, and how it relates to modern languages. For Scottish, he would have been speaking Primitive Irish, the oldest known ancestor of all the Goidelic languages.
please note that I am not a linguist, but I am a fairly well-informed lay person. Actual linguists feel free to correct me.
is this a scott goldsmith character analysis??
Scott goldsmith was a bad person. Scott goldsmith was never going to be a good person, not when all he's known how to do for the past 1400 years was lie and manipulate to get his way. Scott Goldsmith, understand, was a husk of a person, living for base pleasures but not truly feeling because he couldn't. He loved life and he loved living but at some point it lost its luster and the infinite made atrocities not seem so bad.
The point of the story is not that Scott Goldsmith became a good person, the point of the story is that Scott Goldsmith is trying. The point of the story is that if you connect with people, if you don't look at the world in black and white you can heal and become a better person than you were yesterday
That's why its important that Scott was redeemed. Because otherwise it's a black and white story. The big evil bad guys (Scott, Owen, and Pyro) are dead and everyone else gets their happy end or dies as recompense for their sins (Legundo). That's why it's just as important that Ren and Martyn died. Because this isn't a black and white story, the heroes don't always get what they want. Because they're human, because they make mistakes.
The point of the story is that Scott's death would be the easy way out. He wouldn't have to make ammends, or try to be better. He'd be dead and the story would be over and everyone would be happy. It's why Owen chose to die, because he was tired and the weight of his sins was too much to face as a human. Death is the easy way out and Scott Goldsmith doesn't deserve to take the easy way out.
Scott Goldsmith was never going to apologize because he still hasn't processed what he did wrong. Because it's been a few days in the face of 1400 years of unrepentant evil. Because he's new to this whole caring thing. He will probably apologize eventually, as long as he has people by him to support him in his redemption. People don't become good in a single day, it's a messy process. Legs and Scott both showed that.
There's relapses, there's going to be days he says or does something that hurts someone and acts like nothings wrong. Tehere's going to be days he manipulates and gaslights because that's who he was for 1400 years. That's how he survived the Oakhurst massacre. At his core Scott Goldsmith is Legundo's parallel. He is a man who wants to live, and he will do anything to get that.
I have said from the beginning that if push comes to shove and the vamps are losing, Scott would join the town. It was not an out of character decision and it was a decision made from a place of selfishness. But that promise he made to Legundo to be better? The promise he made to Abolish? Those are what's shown he's changed.
Scott Goldsmith knows who he is more than he knows anything else and he fears (just like Legundo) that some day he'll go too far again. So he, because he loves his fledglings and wants them to be happy, is trying to change. He is trying to be human in a way he has not in a long time. He doesn't get morality, he's low-empathy, he doesn't understand people. Maybe he could. Maybe he will. Scott Goldsmith is trying.
That's the core of this story. It's that everyone deserves redemption, everyone deserves tht chance to become a better person and maybe you'll never make up for your sins, because they run too deep, but you can be a better person than you were yesterday.

Pulling an all-nighter and my urge to fix things and my urge to break things are conspiring right now, and they have come to a conclusion
"Fix-it fic" that's just chucking Abolish in the time loop torment nexus where one week after every time the survivors get to leave Oakhurst he wakes up back in the moment the Town beacon was first consecrated
And the first time, actually the first couple of times, he does everything over again the exact. same. way. Beat for beat. Keeps it professional. Holds his tongue and stays his hand, because it worked for him last time, didn't it? He got out alive, and with everything he wanted, and Abolish does not care about those lunatics.
so uh I needed to have Legs and Owen's final conversation fully typed out for Fanfic Reasons and realized it might be helpful for everyone else (given that neither of them have official captions)
Spoilers and transcript below break! Runs from 42:18 to 48:40 of Legundo's episode.
For science, I got the little flashes the beacon flashes from the end of the episode.

Watching cc!Legs talk about vsmp on stream and darn my theory of the Doc giving his leg as food was probably wrong.
On the plus side though… I was right about cc!Legundo taking THE opportunity to make a leg/Legs thing with his mantra but uh. Man at what cost ow.
For those wondering: legundo said that the “he did cannibalism” theory is not correct, but that he did cause a lot of cannibalism by POISONING THE FOOD AND WATER SUPPLY OF A TOWN HE WAS SUPPOSED TO TAKE, CAUSING THE RESIDENTS TO EAT EACH OTHER
