The curious case of the flowers

In one of my modules, our professor Dr. Jay Bal gave all of us fake flowers in the class and told us to somehow add value to them.

I wrote 3 messages; I messaged Mark Zuckerberg through FB, Faxed the Google duo (Sergey and Larry) and emailed Jimmy Wales of Wikipedia. Amazingly Jimmy Wales replied... that's a CTR of 33.33% ;)

That's one of the reasons I think Jimmy Wales is one of the coolest entrepreneurs ever :) apart from being the vanguard in enabling the free and fair dissemination of the collective human knowledge to each and every part of the world of course!

7 stages to a startup: Dissertation Document

Ever thought about launching a tech startup but were stumped about what to do next with that great idea of yours! Well this academic paper provides a systematic framework for you to achieve just that. You are most welcome to have a read and pass along the link.

As academic papers go, they are usually a bit unwieldy and well... boring. This one is too ;) although I am told to a very lesser degree.

I would recommend subscribing to the RSS feed or becoming a follower of this Tumblog, as I will be breaking down the dissertation and covering the topics in easy to read blog entries. It’s highly likely that the blog entries would cover more material and well the hope is that the interactive features will allow for an ensuing discussion that will further enrich the posts.

I’ll also be talking about other aspects of my entrepreneurial journey and updates about my startups, so hang about, it might be interesting :)
