“这天下，我不要了。”原本不是剧本里的台词，是我在片场争得侣皓吉吉导演同意后加进去的，人物走到这个阶段我心里仿佛有个声音在不断提醒我，把这句说出来，把这句话说出来。

"I don't want this world anymore." This line wasn't originally in the script; I added it on set after getting director Lü Haojiji's permission. When the character reached this stage, I felt like there was a voice in my head constantly reminding me to say it, to say it.

Helian Ling (played by Hu Jia Xin)

若问多年后身为王妃的她，是否曾有过一丝动摇？人心本就复杂，但我私心希望——没有。有些人的出现，本就是无可替代。

If asked whether she, as a princess concubine years later, ever wavered even slightly, the human heart is inherently complex, but I personally hope—no. Some people are basically irreplaceable.

Rebirth (冰湖重生) Relationship Recap: Yan Xun & Zhao Chun Er

Spiritual encounter: A symbolism of meeting one's lingering spirit.

In a coincidental timeline where Chun Er sees Yan Xun in her vision while Yan Xun is struggling past a fatal situation.

Brief reunion: In a guise of moving from the past

A switch between a personal exchange to one that serves purpose to their official positions.

A shared past: The reminder and remnant of a distant memory

Where Chun Er had recalled the memory of being given a rabbit by Yan Xun, while Yan Xun proves to still recall it by presenting her a rabbit-tail token.

Found resolve: A truthful conversation by the end of one's hallucination

Yan Xun reveals the reason behind excluding the rebellion from Chun Er's knowledge, as Chun Er later vaguely conveys a form of regret that may relate to the Yan family's tragic massacre.

Destined clash: A sliver of care

As portrayed by Chun Er by taking offence of Yan Xun's deliberate planning against her, alongside Yan Xun's shock at the unseen strike towards Chun Er and an almost successful retaliation on her behalf that comes after.

In a distorted reality that once presented a fleeting possibility, reciprocated feelings existed only to be buried by their inescapable fate.

Props to Zhang Kang Le and Xia Meng for nailing the complex relationship between Yan Xun and Zhao Chun Er. Anticipating more collaborations between them (though preferably less tragic)!

The universe dictates destiny but tends to forget that human sincerity persists; though fleeting, in the midst of a flawed construct.

Yan Xun and Chun Er's interaction scenes are fairly minimal but both Zhang Kang Le and Xia Meng still managed to convey this level of depth! It'll be a massive feast of emotions if any future projects still feature them both but for a longer screentime! 🥹🥹🥹

Ice-breaking Day ⚔️

Historical Cdrama Rebirth (冰湖重生) officially began broadcasting on 8th April! Sharing some behind-the-scenes photos for the offline promotion among the cast of the TV series.
