The day after I got back from Katsu, when I was getting hit with post-con sickness, it snowed perfectly for this shoot I’d been wanting to do all winter, so I ignored my illness as my incredible roommate suited up and we went outside to dump snow on me as I lay on the cold hard ground [goat scream]. Totally worth it. (Thank you India!!!!)

Please draw more of Luffy's mom. The way you drew her is so beautiful.

I should be clear that I 100% don’t actually think Luffy’s mom is Roger’s little sister, I dont think i’m capable of giving Oda enough credit to make her a character that interesting lol she was most likely a demure ‘safe’ woman that Dragon had to leave behind for her and luffy’s ~own good~. 

But I really like my idea of Rosa. She’s fun and feisty and looks like Luffy where Dragon and Garp don’t, she’s the type of woman I envisioned being able to bring a kid like Luffy into the world. She was never demure and the farthest thing Dragon could find from a ‘safe woman’. She loved loud ugly singing, eating, drinking, making fun of Shanks, the naval battles with Garp where she somehow always ended up taking on  Dragon and annoying the shit out of him, and cared about her family and crew-mates more than anyone. So I know its ridiculous and a silly theory, but its fun and I’m having a fun time when i draw her. Luffy’s mom whoever she is, deserves that I think!
