After that day I stopped breathing and came back to life, living has been a fucking trip. It’s so hard not to feel like a nobody in a big city full of people that couldn’t care less about each other.

When the pet parents surrendered their pets to be euthanized, I hated that so much. So when Kim died, I was reminded of all the times I caressed the cats and dogs who slipped into their final sleep, away from their human, and preparing their clay paws prints.

I cried for them too.
