Why are you carrying everything alone?
My Dearest (aired 2023)
My Dearest is historical korean drama that explores themes of yearning, love, sacrifice, equality, politics, and greed for power. I actually stopped watching it when it was still ongoing, and it took me almost three years before I finally returned to it. Looking back, I regret not finishing it earlier. I can fully agree with what many viewers say—it truly is a masterpiece.
To be honest, at first, I wasn’t fond of the casting, and I used to think I would only watch dramas if my favorite actors were in them. Some people also dropped it in the first few episodes because they found it boring, and I can understand why. The beginning can be predictable and cliché, and both the male and female leads are initially portrayed as carefree, almost indifferent characters.
As the story progresses, you begin to see how each character slowly transforms into adulthood. At first ,it may seem similar to other K-dramas i have watched, but something about the actors’ performances brings the characters to life in a unique way.
What I especially appreciate is how the series doesn’t rush or simply move from one scene to another. It gives justice to each character and their emotional journey, which brings a sense of satisfaction and peace to the viewers.
I also loved the ending. When he says her name, I could genuinely feel everything the character was feeling—the yearning, the long wait, and the depth of their love. It made me realize that you can feel like you’re at home just by hearing someone you deeply love say your name.
You can also tell that it is a well-produced K-drama, which is often the case with many Korean dramas in terms of quality.
I can’t really rate it, all i can say is ,it's a must watch if you are into historical korean drama.
Keep going ;

"Until it's my turn, I will keep clapping for others."
It's really that simple.
And sometimes you try talking to it and then there’s no response but you talked to them anyway like they will answer any time or ended up laughing alone because you think they’re funny and adorable .Lmao

How I wish I could hug everyone and tell them that it's okay. It's okay to be scared and angry and hurt and selfish. It's part of being human.
