do you ever think about how pewter has to watch those somniums

like the one where the love of his life is being strangled to death? i know its not reflected in the voice acting but do you imagine he would sound vaguely choked up after that as he’s saying “you have… you have three minutes left, date.” 

or the somnium where you see young renju all cute in his turtle neck and blazer and pewter falls in love all over again and has to grieve all over again? 

because sometimes i think about that

Pewter is a nerd, okay? He likes magical girls. He’s a nerd and he has the genius and skill to back it up. 

We only see him use his watch to do anything interesting when he zaps Date but that was only because it was the most convenient and least obvious thing to do, but this man is loaded on tech. I refuse to believe he only wears that visor for the LOOKS.

His stupid science wetsuit is actually laced with nanotech so that he can control his visor display with just a gesture and use any flat surface for a keyboard. The visor is like another computer, one that he 100% uses to read manga during ABIS meetings without anyone knowing. 

His look is AT LEAST 40% functional, but the rest is because of the futuristic AI magical girl aesthetic.

Also catch him working on the psync machine with a smear of grease across his cheek, muttering about how he should have just stuck with the ONE psychology degree, then maybe he could be a professor somewhere instead of trying to fix this machine in SIX HOURS under these AWFUL WORKING CONDITIONS, but NO, he just HAD to go and get several degrees in computer engineering and criminal justice for the hell of it.

(Tho of course he loves his job and doesn’t actually regret anything, he just likes to complain.)

Since my friend got me into AI: The Somnium Files and there's like twenty people in the fandom and NO FANART OF MY FAVORITE CHARACTER (Pewter is my boy, okay? I love him.) which means no new phone background, I decided to make my own. I have one made for most of the characters but I don't want to spam, so for right now here's a few Aiba.
