     THOR & HELA !  were formerly housed at @gildedruins and @moltenruins. i’ve put them both on the same blog so that i can write their arcs and development in parallel to each other. i do ask that you only follow this blog if you are interested in writing with both of my muses. 

     BLOG BASICS !  mutuals only & private, very duplicate friendly. most of my verses were developed heavily with either @leasung or @sigvinr​ & @vegvisr, so i am exclusive to those muses in those verses.  

     ACTIVITY !  i prioritize plotted threads with mutuals due to limited time, but non-mutuals are always welcome to send plot ideas to my inbox! i’m a very slow responder, but i will answer eventually, i promise!

“don’t poke fun.” it had all taken some time to get used to. she had a second version of themselves that she was referring to as a twin brother and an actual all time sister not just a sometimes one whenever loki switched.

the window they’d opened about a minute ago was blowing cold crisp air against her bare arms. it’s gives her a feeling of belonging. she will fight hela on keeping it open if proven necessary.

“he carries his strenght on the outside i carry mine within,” they shrug. it’s important that she knows that there’s no actual power difference between them. she just didn’t need to show off all the time.

“ hypocrite. ”  but her tone is gentler than it would be with most.  odin tried to take this family from her ⸻ it brings her some sense of satisfaction ( that feeling is joy,  even to a heart frozen over for millennia ) to know that she has found it,  anyways.  there is little she would not do for her siblings,  other than dulling her own ambition. 

( that,  she might be convinced to do for loki’s youngest. ) 

“ oh,  certainly,  but you still don’t feel the need to remind us all of how strong you are all the time.  he cut off the sleeves to the -- ”  there’s a pause as she searches for the word,  switches from their language to norwegian.  “ flannel that sif bought him last jul. just so everybody doesn’t forget how large his arms are. ”

it’s a terribly domestic thing to complain about,  and the discomfort is written plainly on hela’s face.  she used to conquer worlds.  now she speaks about her sister-in-law. perhaps she should renew her quest to regain her powers.

he settles on the porch steps besides the newest addition to his family ⸻ he will never again be surprised by new siblings,  be they from this universe or another.  björn is held carefully in his arms,  so tiny against his father.  he holds the child out to thor,  offers a reassuring smile and a nod. “ he likes you. please. ”

once the baby is handed off,  he puts a hand on his sister’s shoulder,  offering a tired smile.  he knows just what they mean -- it feels like he’s stumbled into the same mistakes,  over and over again.  it feels like another loss is always just around the corner. 

he leans back,  looking out across new asgard.  he’s built a home here.  a family.  he doesn’t have all the answers,  but he’s getting used to not knowing. 

“ you’ll never stop learning.  that’s not a bad thing.  i don’t think you’d make this mistake again,  sister.  you will make others,  but you will learn from them,  too.  you will let your failures shape you into a better thor.  it is what we do. ”

“ you’re only noticing that now? ”  a raised eyebrow ; she so prefers the company of either not-quite sibling than that of the brother she shares blood with.  this thor she will almost consider leaving alive once she returns to power.  she will need someone to rule over this planet when she’s out adding more to her empire. 

( never mind that she’s settled rather comfortably into her oslo apartment.  never mind that she’s almost fluent in norwegian.  never mind that she’s renovating her cabin on svalbard for the second time,  mostly to add a guest room so her niece has a space of her own.  she’ll leave this place,  one day.  return asgard to its former glory.  she’s just . . . taking a little break.  just a little one. )

‘ I THOUGHT there were only ones of thor…i had no idea about my father. ’ part of her is painfully curious, needing to know exactly what he had done, yet the rest of her is to wary to even truly consider it. an involuntary shiver runs down her spine.

‘ he is. he’s very excited, he’s been talking about us having a huge family for as long as i’ve known him, we’re happy about this. oh, he is still terrified! he fears my mother more than i do. ’

“ that’s because of how hard your mother worked to make sure of that.  i’m pretty sure some of the worst ones of your uncle are her doing ⸻ anything to distract from your father.  probably for the best,  since he has the crown. ”
