im very thankful for the current arc in the anime. it just continues to reignite my desire to see an entire series where ash doesn’t have companions with him for once

it’d be another nice formula break imo as it would have ash to think more critically in many situations without having to rely to others that are with him

it’s also really nice to see his pokemon surround him in these kinds of episodes so no human companions means we could have various episodes where he has one or more of his pokemon besides pikachu out with him not unlike this current series as he travels around the region (if they go back to traveling again next series)
