And were back! Uni has started again and in half-swing. I'm entering my 5th year as a cellular, molecular, microbial biology major! This year is super exciting as I'm starting my honours thesis!!!! I'm working under a genetic counselor doing research in cardiac genetics.

As for classes, well I have none! My only two courses this semester are online, asynchronous. I'm taking Endocrinology (biology) and Solar System (earth sciences). I'm excited for both as I've always wanted to take both of them but never had the time.

Thankfully my campus is fully open, and i live stupidly close to campus so I've been able to take full advantage of the library to do some study work. I'm not looking forward to the self-discipline of online learning, but I'm glad for the schedule freedom

Outside of classes I've gotten to participate I some really cool orientation events, such as leading campus tours, outdoor movie night and trivia!

I'm so excited to get back to school!! I'll be moving to my university city in just a few days to start getting ready for classes. I'm finally in my final year of my undergraduate degree.

In preparation for my next steps, I'm completing an honours thesis in cardiac genetics as well as preparing for grad school applications.

I'm only taking 2 courses this semester plus my thesis which will be a shear difference from my usual 5 courses a semester. All my courses are still online despite my university claiming to be "business as usual".

I'm very new to Notion but I'm excited to try and use it for the next year to keep myself organized!

Strawberries are in season and I’m so happy!! I’ve also been practicing my written Chinese, I’m fairly okay at speaking and texting but writing is still a bit hard especially when I’m in a rush.

It’s Friday! I’m really tired as I’m typing this bcs I only got five hours of sleep and it’s already bright and sunny outside which means there’s no way I can go back to sleep. I don’t know why, but when it’s hot and sunny, I need to do things bcs, otherwise, I feel icky. Anywho, here’s an update on how my shelf looks like! There’s more books that didn’t fit so they’re somewhere else, but don’t let these books fool you bcs I’ve probably only read like five so far. Also, the missing book in between They Both Die At The End and Meditations is The Song of Achilles, haha. When I took the picture, the book was safely tucked somewhere else as I attempted to collect the fragments of my broken heart. Yes, you read that right. 

For two days straight, I’ve been working on a Patrochilles edit and I’ve finally finished it last night! Honestly, I just love the feeling of being inspired and engaging in creative projects and it’s so wonderful to see things come together. I’m someone who’s very imaginative and often see the world as a romantic and dreamy landscape (or at least I try to) so I’m always creating stories in my head, thinking abt abstract and philosophical ideas, and getting inspired by so many things. I’ve also realized that it’s almost exactly a month until I have to leave for my pre-college summer program and I’m very stressed out. Also, I might reread The Song of Achilles again one last time just so I can finally move on to another fiction book? I guess we’ll see what happens; stay tuned, folks. I hope y’all have a relaxing weekend and prioritizing your needs!! 🤍✨

21.01.24 || New year, same old me with the pics from my study abroad two years ago. Where does the time go?

Term started late this year due to covid, but classes finally started last week. I’m taking three language courses and am in absolute heaven right now. I feel like I finally have the time to focus on the smallest details of Greek and Latin and can nerd out over grammar constructions with my professors. Maybe teaching a language is my true calling, since I’m at my happiest in a language class.

Also lerne ich Deutsch und lese Der Kleine Prinz. Wo sind die Deutschsprache studyblrs?

And just like that, a new week has arrived again! I hope y’all had a wonderful weekend and enjoyed Mother’s Day. The weekend was rather chill for me; it has been raining for several days and I’ve been spending time with my family whilst doing some occasional mythology readings. It’s been really fun and I’m learning a lot. I also organized my room and it’s always such a refreshing feeling seeing everything in place again. Also, these days, I’ve really been missing Italian and the beach with the former being that I haven’t had much time to pick up my workbook as lots of things are happening all at once and the latter being that the beach is far away from me and life has been busy. Nevertheless, life goes on and we just gotta ride the waves. By the way, thanks for all the show recs!! I’ll try to check them out. I hope y’all have a lovely week ahead; I’m sending all my love!! 🤍✨

I’ve been so inactive on Tumblr lately, I’d like to be more active but the mountain work for college keeps growing bigger. Plus, my exams are starting in a few weeks.

This morning I had my last lesson of advanced organic chemistry, since we have a test for it next week. This afternoon I had my organic process technology class, I was the only one answering his questions 😅

I really need a vacation, my exams end on the 15th of June so there will be no vacation for me untill then *cries*
