A part of the reason why I liked Rafayel was because he could cook. In my whole life I've never seen a man cook and make it seem like a normal chore/ a normal house hold work. I love when he cooked for us in a 4* card ( I forgot which one ) He didn't make it a big deal to get praised or seem cool. he cooks because he knows how to cook, he cooks because he wants to, he cooks because it's something that would make his partner happy. ( Same with sylus but he has yet to cook for us and he only made salad which is kinda meh so yeah) and it got me thinking that how normalised it is for men to not know how to cook. it's something a woman should know and those who don't get ridiculed because how can you not know woman it should be in your DNA like wtf???

The guy I had a crush on told me almost bragging that he lives alone and can cook and my response was 'cooking is a basic skill which you do to survive ofc you should know how to cook' and he seemed offended?? Like he was waiting to get praised and for what? Cooking? I've been doing that since I was 12. When a woman/ girl tells that she can cook nobody bats an eye but when it's men — it's supposed to be something praiseworthy?? Like be for real!
