the Agent R skin - ratthew having the ability to detect anomalies - being on the run from the animal corporation - his beef with ron - and not sharing his name at first has me believing he's an ex agent
uhh i feel like ratthew and the secret agent worked together at first but had a fallout soon after Ratina disappeared. I think he was still paranoid then but it got extremely worse as time went on when he became suspicious of the corporation which put both of their jobs at risk.
I love to see a fellow Kaylon lover they're so interesting I love exploring the way they do emotion and their generational trauma

okok with all that aside YES!! I've always found generational trauma, younger generations going against the norm, and how the cycle of abuse is hard to break interesting. Despite the abused attempting to be better for the next, they're still affected by said trauma and are still harmful in their own ways.
I feel like primary is an example of a parent who escaped an abusive traditional environment for the sake of their kids' future. However, a part of that environment left with primary leaving him to develop some toxic beliefs and affect the Kaylon to some extent (things such not trusting biologicals, inability to feel emotion, otherwise pain, shunning those from the family who aren't willing to sacrifice everything for them, being the superior race, etc).
Isaac being an emissary, getting the opportunity to leave Kaylon 1 and develop relationships with people is what crumbled those traditional beliefs, about biologicals. Primary sees that he appears to sympathize for them and tries to convince Isaac they're all terrible, attempting to pull him away from his friends' influence, explaining how Isaac simply doesn't understand how bad it truly was and trying to convince him that they're similar to their builders. Isaac doesn't believe any of this and saves ty, contradicting the beliefs primary has set for Isaac as an attempt to keep him safe. Isaac was then labeled as a traitor and unwelcomed into their homeworld.
Primary gives off the parent that developed the "family matters more than anything, even yourself" mentality after being treated so horribly by his builders. A family, friend, or in this case a unit is supposed to stick together. If you don't, you're simply not one. Which is mainly why he told Isaac he was going to be alone. Despite everything he tried doing for Isaac, he was betrayed, similar to how the builders hurt primary even after trying to fulfill his purpose to the best of his ability. This was kinda like a kid not wanting to give up their belongings or beliefs for the sake of their parents, leaving their parents to become extremely upset that their kid isn't willing to do things they did for those they loved. Some parents expect their children to suddenly give up EVERYTHING they've worked for to fulfill their wants and needs. From my experience this led to a lot of cut off ties.
I think Primary really wanted what was best for Issac, but his beliefs and controlling demeanor, attempts to shut off communication with outsiders, and borderline weaponized trauma is what distanced him and issac for a awhile until Primary gave it a chance and decided to be more open minded. It was really sweet to see primary attend his wedding, congratulate Isaac and try to be supportive. He isn't the best dad but he's trying.
I just wish more parents would attempt to be more open to new things like primary and reconcile with their kids.
There's so much I wanna talk about but I'm afraid it be too long, I deleted like a few paragraphs and this is still lengthy heh. Apologies if like none of this makes sense I'm rambling at night and a lot of this is low-key based off of things I've seen happen in my family as some members have reminded me of primary and how despite their attempt at being better, are still horrible at times. He reminds me so much of parents in America struggling to be better after leaving their toxic environment and having terrible habits and beliefs they're stuck with which affect their children. They're so caught up in all of it that they don't get help and it spirals down from there.

uhh art is basically based off an au I made of Issac inspired by the song Retry Now- the whole premise of this is just retry now except that whole situation takes place after Claire's death, Isaac grieving (he was able to 'feel' after awhile in this au), and some confusing timeline stuff idk really know Abt.
Keep in mind Isaac is pretty ooc in this au- made it since it kinda just popped in my mind listening to it
oh yeah first mention of my oc Mila who was Quaternary's partner before the whole genocide thing
some stuff about them below uhh
Mila worked for some tech company that Quaternary visited on one of his shifts. (Quaternary had a police like job pre genocide). They spoke for a bit and Mila was interested in being friends with him so they started hanging out afterwards. Eventually it kinda just happened and they became a thing.
Mila's workplace is around walking distance from the station Quaternary works at- after learning that she likes sweets or baked goods he learned how to bake so could drop off freshly made breakfast for her every morning before their shifts started <)
When they were both off Mila takes him out to forests or peaceful isolated areas so he can take a break from his work environment. She made a list every week on things about their culture to go over with him. Typically they yap about their day together before she starts to tell him about some stuff about the builders. He listened intently most of the time.
They had this one spot where they visit to look at the city lights and sky. They also yapped about things they like there and sleep there for the night
I think I mentioned his eyes changing based on his emotions before- that was his gift to her since he wasn't sure what to get for her birthday.
The two had matching rings heh.
Mila was asexual ^^
Her death impacted him the most since it kinda was one of the main things holding him back from joining the genocide.
To sum things up a resistance was created on Kaylon 1 to oppose the genocide, they targeted Kaylon and builders who sided with the Kaylon(the whole ally builders is something Ill fully figure out another day.) The resistance targeted the building Mila and her coworkers were in the only time where Quaternary believed it would be safe to leave her for a bit while he helped primary with other things at the moment.
I have it kinda mapped out in my head but he found out when he intercepted a transmission from the resistance that gave orders to fire on said building. Quaternary tried getting there as fast as he could but he simply was just too late. He discovered her body under the collapsed building himself along with all her coworkers he couldn't save.
her death is part of the reason why he tried to not get close with biologicals. He hates relying on people who he'll outlive to function more efficiently and knowing that he can't stop their deaths.
Sometimes when he works on the starlight(Climax's ship) he remembers her and thinks about how he would've spent the rest of their time together if the genocide had just happened later. They made a lot of plans for their future that he really believed could've been possible.
