@ask-alasdair
Old Friends: Part 1/?
Part 2: [Coming Soon]
Is Connor really serious about raising parakeets?? Not to judge him or anything, follow your dream lil guy, but it's so specific lol
“And y'know, it’s my last year here at school! A man has to seriously think about his future.” - Connor
Omg I love your characters already!!! Really hyped for this story :D How old are Alasdair and Lefay? We know Connor is five years younger than them (he's so precious omg, a lil cinnamon roll)
((Thanks so much anon! I’m really looking forward to spending time on this blog))
Characters
Alasdair Kerr
Ever the problem child, Alasdair was raised primarily by his grandfather, alongside his two brothers. They attended a boarding school while growing up, where Alasdair fully focused himself on boxing, one of the few connections he still had to his parents.
He found himself regularly falling out of his grandfather’s favour, be it through his relationships or a stint of bad behaviour that led to him almost dropping out of university, but through it all he kept up boxing and has been steadily turning it into a sporting career, despite the current…. difficulties, he’s facing at home.
Recently he’s found himself reconnecting with an old school friend.
Francine Deveaux
An old friend, Francine moved to the UK to attend boarding school, which was where she and Alasdair met. They dated for their later years, until Alasdair moved on to college and Francine was left to finish off her own final year of schooling. During this time they grew distant and eventually lost contact.
The two recently met again, with Alasdair discovering that she was at law school and also happened to be engaged, but despite this the two decided to meet for coffee - as friends, of course.
Lefay Kerr
Alasdair’s twin brother, Lefay is smart enough to stay on their Grandfather’s good side. While this is a far safer route and means he is in line to inherit the family business, however that comes with plenty of downsides of its own. With the weight of his responsibilities bearing down on him, a rift has formed between Alasdair and Lefay, and they’re nowhere near as close as they were as kids.
Connor Kerr
The youngest of the Kerr siblings by 5 years, Connor mostly stays out of family disputes when he can, something boarding school makes all the easier. He plans on running away and raising parakeets after graduation.
George Bennet
The boys’ grandfather on their mother’s side, George is a self made millionaire, although rumours circulate that his wealth wasn’t obtained legally. He presides over his family with an iron fist, and while his grandchildren may not respect him, they certainly fear him.
Duncan & Lizzy Kerr
Alasdair, Lefay and Connor’s parents. Duncan and Lizzy married against George’s wishes, as he felt Duncan, a farmer his daughter had met on a trip to the Isle of Skye, wasn’t good enough for her. Despite this they eloped, and by the time George made his way back into their lives they already had twins on the way. They passed away in an unfortunate accident when Alasdair was around 12, leaving him and his siblings in the care of their grandfather.
