Welcome to the Official Ever After Academy Renaissance Blog!

[2025 Edit: This blog was started as a Renaissance project following the shutdown of Lovestruck, and a lot of things have changed since then. Since I made this post, my co-admin Pathfinder has hopped on board with my insanity and we’ve been brainstorming some projects that we will (hopefully) be sharing with y’all soon. We also have an email ([email protected]), and we’ve had a Spotify and Pinterest accounts in the works. Stay tuned!]

What to expect from my blog:

I have a few ideas for what I’m going to post here. I might start off reposting some of my old content and reblogging other EAA content, but for long term, this really is just going to be a place where fans of EAA can share their theories/woes/wishes/adoration/any general thoughts about the series.

I’m also open to answering questions about my own thoughts and potentially answering questions as characters (though my rp skills aren’t the best so I apologize if they’re a bit ooc)

Finally, a few things to keep in mind:

I’m a student, so while I’ll try to make more of an effort to be active on the blog, I won’t be able to monitor it 24/7, so please be patient with me :) [2025 Edit: college is eating up way more of my time, I’m trying my best]

Additionally, I am a minor, so please don’t send any nsfw or creepy asks, they will be deleted [2025 Edit: not a minor but don’t be weird]

There will be many opinions, either from asks or myself, and I just ask that even if you don’t agree with someone’s thoughts (which you don’t have to), that we all be polite and civil during any discussions

Bouncing off the last point, this is my blog, and if I get any rude people in my inbox (either directed towards myself or anyone else), your ask will be deleted (I’d hope not but considering my experiences with it previously I might as well put the message out now)

Don’t be afraid to spam the inbox! The point of this blog is to bring back attention to EAA and LS in general, so the more you interact the better! I’ll try to answer as quickly as I can, but referring to my first point, I may not be able to respond immediately. But feel free to share anything that comes to mind, I’d love to hear it!

Every time I want to give up while studying for my finals I remember that Arin Langdon probably got through this while also doing TA stuff, being guardian and dying from tree rot as well as angst fueled gay yearning, and that gets me through at least another hour

Sometimes I see some of the people I follow still reblogging old stuff or even creating (!) new content for deleted Lovestruck stories, and I can't help but think,

man, the company's managers didn't have any idea of what a raw diamond they held in their hands.

Because having that lasting impact years after you plugged the servers off? Being so cherished that queer fans still kept the memory of those stories alive much afterwards? All of the fan recreations of the game?? There's no way the app wasn't making them money. They could have built upon and expanded on the stories to try and appeal to a wider player base. They already had many queer fans in their pocket after all.

But nooo, raising the writers' paycheck a couple cents per word was too much. Not just that, the only way they had of getting rid of those icky gay readers was to burn everything to ashes, because stories that were unabashedly positive about queerness were unsurprisingly loved by them (even though having a gay readership was icky, that sentiment didn't extend to grabbing their money, until it did.)

But hey! At least they earn half the money selling games with strictly romantic het storylines only. Talk about cutting off one's nose to spite their faces.

Thanks for your answer! Hope your school year goes well! Another question for you, what do you think the memory spell background would have been like in lavinia's route? Iirc, I think they also said there was some sort of deal made, what are your thoughts?

It's great to hear from you again! From my understanding, the situation of Red killing the former pathfinder and FMC making the deal with her is the canon for all routes, they just delve into more in Ezra's route where she appears. We also know from both Lavinia and Ezra's routes that the amber charm (aka Lavinia's heart) was intertwined with the memory spell. Unfortunately we don't have that closure in Lavinia's route, buuuut in Ezra's route FMC was able to break the spell around the heart by letting Ezra go (which is also reflected in Lavinia lifting her own curse in her route by trying to let go of FMC). I was going to say that I assume they would do something similar since they repeated that plot line in Lavinia's route, but I wonder if they would've switched it up since they used that already. Maybe FMC telling Lavinia she loves all of her unconditionally, and that is what allows her to let go of the charm? Unfortunately we may never know the actual answer, but it's fun to theorize! Hello! You all seem like the right people to ask, I must admit, I had a slight bit of trouble understanding what exactly the deal struck between fmc and red was. From my understanding, red broke in, killed the uncle and fought everyone one until a deal was made about... something? And it's part of the memory spell? I may just have the worst reading comprehension known to man, but any clarity on this would be appreciated! Even if not, have a nice day :)

Hi anon, thank you so much for your question! While Ezra's route doesn't go into nearly as much detail as would satisfy us, the general idea we're given is that Red showed up to the lighthouse to ensure that nobody would find out about her crimes (killing Grandmother/the hunters and framing Ezra for the former). The deal she makes with FMC is that Red gets to take her book (and replace it in the library with a blank one) and the MCs give up their memories of magic. In exchange for this, she vowed to never return (though obviously she doesn't hold up her end).

I don't recall them ever clarifying why the memory spell had to happen, but my assumption is that it was assurance to Red that the triad wouldn't be able to come after her and try to get the book back/reveal what she'd done.
