Sun peeks through the leaves as a gentle wind rustles the forest. The greenery seemingly untouched as birds sing and a hidden brook bubbles. It's peaceful.

That is until an unfortunate engineer falls into the clearing, having not seen a fallen log covered by the grass.
"Dag nabbit!, you sure this is the way we're supposed to be going ?"
@ask-ex-engineer-rp
"Nope." Taurie said simply, shrugging as he looked at the crudely drawn map Scout had given them. "Mean, the boy drew a tree...ah assume that means the forest. His cartography skills leave...a lot to be desired. You ok?" He sighed, looking down at his friend sprawled out on the ground.
Under one arm Taurie carried his pet goldfish. Kumquat was securely nestled in his mobile ball and the plump fish looked down at John curiously.
"Ah don't know...think we should of made it by now. Why is our new base so remote anyway?"
@ask-ex-engineer-rp
Sighing from the leave litter he'd found himself in John pulls himself back to his feet, patting down his now slightly damp dungarees of loose dirt and leaves.
"I'm fine, I'm just pretty sure we're lost," the shorter man huffs, shielding his eyes from the sun to look round the forest and its near identical trees," should have taken that ride from Sniper when he asked.... I ain't even sure this is the right direction anymore...no base should have been this off the road, ain't even a footpath."
"Ah don't know about that... If we'd rode with Snipes we'd of been ridin' with all his jars in the back. Least one of us would have..." Taurie grumbled, feeling rather ill at the thought of the jars of jarate clinking together in the back of the man's van.
"Mean, we've been to some remote bases before... Too bad we don't have a way to get a birds eye view." Taurie mused. "How are you at climbin' trees?"
Being reminded of the number of jars Sniper regularly accumulated John makes his own face of disgust, he's sure some of those break every once and a while and the man doesn't really notice....
Following Tauries eyes to the surrounding trees John sighs in thought before replying," Used to be ok at it...ain't sure id be much good anymore, got a lot softer since then, and robotics ain't light...you'd probably have a better chance, least you can reach higher," out of the two Taurie was defending the taller of them after all.
"Have to be careful either way, no respawn out here, and I'm not to sure what way to go if we needed help..." He says quietly, almost to himself. John worries about Taurie getting hurt while they wander about lost, he couldn't help him when he has no idea where to take him for help or a medkit.
