((Been a while since I've posted. I'm hoping to get back into little bits of writing here soon, but I wanted to share that I've been doing a raffle over the last 3 weeks for art. Figured I would let people know here as well.

For every 5 dollars donated to PCRF [Palestinian Children's Relief Fund], it counts as 1 entry into a raffle I'm doing. I do not want money. Just donate so some kids can get food. The prize for the winner is an art commission from me. I don't open commissions often, but this is for a good cause. All I need is proof that you donated, so it can be a screenshot of the confirmation page [please scribble out your email, I do not want personal information].

This is a way to maybe help out with that Too Much, feel like you're doing something good, and have a chance to get a pic of like, Batman as a pokemon. Or your D&D character. Or a monster woman. It can be 1 fully fleshed out character, or 2 simple characters with limited background.

Now, there are some limitations. This is a personal use picture, not to be represented as your own art to sell. I won't draw violence against real people, or recreational drug use (this is a trigger for me), or underage fetish, or explicitly nsfw stuff.

You CAN use this art as thumbnails for YouTube videos, or podcast advertising, etc, but not for hate rhetoric.

I'm going to attach some of my recent-ish art so you guys can see. Originally the cutoff date was 8/21/25, BUT I'm extending it to Saturday night 8/23/25. I will pick a winner on 8/26/25 with a randomizer wheel.

DOGE just froze funding to vital Federal and Indigenous conservation programs devoted to supporting the very delicate and tenuous existence of the black-footed ferret.

I fell in love with these animals as a kid traveling to our National Parks. Their rarity and ferocity made me sharply aware, even as a child, of just how much of a responsibility we have toward our environment. I can't bear the thought of them being a fucking casualty of Trump and Musk.

Opening a GoFundMe because I have no other choice now.

My name is Slurku, and I am a freelance artist based in Ohio. I am reaching out to my community today in hopes of receiving some assistance, as I am currently facing significant financial hardships. My sole income is derived from commission work, which is irregular and insufficient to maintain stability. While any work is appreciated, it simply isn’t enough to sustain my household.

In July 2024, my partner, who was the primary earner in our household, was laid off. Their unemployment benefits have recently ended as of February 1st, 2025, leaving us with no stable income. The only other source of income is my father’s social security, which is allocated towards rent and his personal expenses.

I am unable to seek traditional employment due to my responsibilities as a Power of Attorney (POA) for my father, who suffers from short-term memory loss and dementia. Caring for him is a full-time responsibility, and I cannot be compensated for my role as a POA. This situation has left us financially strained, as we were dependent on my partner’s income to make ends meet.

I had planned to place my father in assisted living later this year and relocate back west with my family to start anew, as I can no longer continue living under these circumstances. His needs are gradually surpassing what I can provide at home, and I am currently navigating the Medicaid waiver process to secure appropriate care for him.

I am without a vehicle or a job and rely on government assistance for food. However, with the current food prices, the assistance we receive lasts no more than two weeks for two people. While my father’s social security covers rent and his bills and food situation, I am still responsible for other expenses regarding myself such as food, bills, pet care, and transportation costs for my medical appointments (as I am a diabetic) and my father’s appointments. Additionally, we are living in subsidized housing.

I have commissions open and am actively seeking more freelance work. If you are able and willing to contribute, any amount would be immensely appreciated. However, please prioritize your own well-being first. I have reached a point of desperation and am humbly asking for any support my community can offer, even if it’s simply sharing this message.
