I Saw The Money Grow
Just finished This Is How You Lose The Time War. It took me less time to read the last 160 pages than the first 40. The flowery prose did no favours for what was supposed to be correspondence between two rivals, but worked incredibly well once the characters moved from taunting one-another to being openly curious about each other and finally yearning for one-another. I think the playful teasing would've been more palatable if the book had had more buildup to their eventual correspondence, or if the first letters had less playfulness and more animosity to them. But even as it is, the beginning does well to set up some gut wrenching turns towards the end. I really enjoyed my time with the book after that first hurdle. The premise is imaginative, the characters human, and it's fun to see these two demigods of a war beyond comprehension fall in love.
Reading the Finnish translation now- the playful jabbing in the beginning works so much better in a language less prone to exuberance. Genuinely might be one of my favourite scifi novels.

Heartbreaking: local woman didn't check the spice cabinet before buying groceries or starting to cook
One thing I really like about bouldering gyms is that they're really like playgrounds for adults.
Having a grand time doing parallel play with strangers till I end up chatting with someone and then I have a new best friend for 2 hours who I will never run into again.
Hey everyone lets play boulders together

Insanely good feeling when you notice that pull-ups have turned from a genuine challenge to an endurance exercise
This is unhinged but I think it's pretty hot that I could probably wrestle and pin my pre-transition self to the ground like it was nothing

This God will not forgive you.
