Trying to get back in touch with this muse

So forgive me if she is a little out of character and feel free to call me out on it so I may improve back to what I one was. I had been rping to many super aggressive , act before thinking sorts lately.

Janey sat up and looked down at Athena.

“I know you’re a good fighter, and I know you can look after yourself and me, but what hurt is that you lied to me. You promised me you were done. Then you go and do this! How can I trust you ‘Thena? How do I know you haven’t told me more lies? I love you too but… I’m sorry ‘Thena…”

She got up and grabbed her coat without another word and left. Heading for the fast travel so Athena couldn’t follow her.

When the other woman stood up Athena looked up with a actual scared expression worn in her face. “ Janey please stop!” Athena grabbed her scarf, sword, and shield as she quickly followed her.

She reached out for her wrist only to grasp it,“ Please so walking away, we need to sort this out Janey. I can’t just do boring side jobs and sit at the shop, that’s not who I am and honestly I was scared if I didn’t tell you that I was done you wouldn’t have given me a chance. Not every day that someone sees past the assassin just to see the lonely woman behind the shield.”

She let go of the wrist only to look down, tugging at her scarf. “Give me a chance to make this up to you, say it and I’ll do it. ”

Without her reply, she was gone. She had fast traveled to Overlook. She needed some time alone to think. She took a seat at the each of the cliff Overlook sat on and let her legs dangle of the edge. The she reached into her pocket and pulled out a small box. Inside it was an engagement ring.

“I guess today wasn’t the right day…”

“Shit, shit , shit, shit.” She cursed under her breath only to approach the fast travel, reaching out to it .”Send me to where Janey Springs went. Like now!” She hit the machine only to vanish into the air in hopes to pursue the woman she loved.  Once she got there she paused for a moment, looking at her only to let out a faint sigh. She wanted alone time and here she was following her. What sort of trusting girlfriend was she? She sat down where she stood only to rest her elbow on one knee. If she needed her then Janey would call out for her .”I’m really sorry Janey….” She muttered under her breath… she fucked up pretty badly.

Janey had only just set the box down, leaving the lid open, when some bandits snuck up behind her, tying her arms, they carried her back to their technical. She tried to scream, but she was quickly silenced. The only screams coming from where she was sitting at the ledge.

“Athena!”

The only thing that remained when the bandits were gone was the small box.

Catching up with the Sheriff.

-----“Ey look who it is, did ya’ pull that scarf outta’ ya arse and decided to pay me a visit? Hah, bitch. Come here and give me a hug, I missed ya’. Got time to grab a drink?” 

--------------------------------------------------------   Athena looked to the woman with a quirked brow. Well she was a vulgar as ever but that didn’t change the memories the two shared together. They fought a lot shit together and fought to help Jack, the last part was a little bad but what could you do? “As long as you keep the whip on your hip, sure.” She approached the gunner only to offer her a hug. It was brief one but as she pulled back she shrugged. “Sure, lets go get a couple. After all we were heroes of the moon together and we do have a lot to catch up on. Lets just not make it Moxxi’s bar. I am still a little pissed at her for well, you know.”  Athena gestured for the other to lead the way. She was pretty thrilled to catch up with the fellow sadist and killer. Sure Athena hid it better but she did take thrill in the art of killing things just as much as most of the inhabitants of Pandora.  wickedgunslinger

Nothing to do with Fiona or her sister or anything.” Athena started to panic only to look around for the exit.” So lets just drop the subject and move onto something else? Sound good? Good.” Athena let out a soft chuckle only to raise her hands up a bit, “So… how is the shop?” Like hell she was going to let her know that she was doing bounties on the side and fighting goons. If there’s a secret, Janey was going to find out what it was. She didn’t think Athena would lie to her, but her confidence in her was starting to drop slightly.

Athena winced a bit when Janey shouted, she let out a faint sigh as she just stopped her desire to run away. Blame her leaving on another courier job and just well, bit the bullet. “Janey listen….” She said only to walk over to their couch as she sat down, resting her face against both of her hands as she massaged it.  “ Remember when I was out on that mission for a really long time? Saying I was delivering packages? Well honestly I was hired to train Fiora to be a vault hunter and watch over her.” She looked up to Janey with a slightly lost expression.” Its just… I enjoy the thrill Janey and we do need the money. I was as careful as I could be Janey.. forgive me. I just.. please don’t leave… “

“What? You… You lied to me? I… Athena I… I don’t know what to think right now… I… I think I need some time to think about this.”

She stood from her couch, her face cupped in her hands, and made her way to their bedroom. She collapsed onto the bed and started thinking.

‘Should you forgive her? She risked her life, again. She lied to you. Can you forgive her?’

“Janey, please come back.” Athena stodo up to follow her girlfriend, trying to not let her get to far away. She had to fix this, Janey had to understand why she did what she did. When she made it to the bedroom, Athena slowly made her way to the bed side, only to kneel down next to her. “Listen, I’m sorry I lied but what else am I good at other then fighting? You are a mechanic, good with people, and can do so much more. I am a fighter, a killer, and honestly I have a lot of fun being a vault hunter. I will be as careful as I can, I swear. But... Janey, tell me what I can do to not lose you here. I love you and I love you a lot. I haven’t been this happy since I was with my sister.... “

“Confidence will be your down fall Lilith. Siren or not, you can’t do much without your head.” She glared at the other woman, this tension that grew between the two was not something to brush aside. Two strong women barking at one another was quite the sight. “ You Sirens are all the same. I have powers, that makes me better then you. I am a trained assassin. What did you do in your past?” She shook her head. “I am not turning myself in, last time I did that you were going to kill me and I have something to live for. Also, on what ground do you want me arrested anyways? Handsome Jack? Last time I checked it was Moxxi and you that broke that man. You are trying to break the blade Lilith instead of killing the murderer. Are you really that narrow minded?”

Let’s see, got a PHD in science, became a doctor, became a vault hunter, opened the vault of the Destroyer, destroyed the Destroyer, completely destroyed the corporation you were so weak to end the job yourself, discovered what eridium can do to Sirens, lead a military resistance against a corporation…. want me to continue? What have you done other than to become an assassin? 

    Don’t get me started on Jack, Athena –neither Moxxi or I turned him into what he is. He was already a narcissist psychopath, and if you can get your head out of your ass for a few second you would’ve noticed the signs already. Or was tossing innocents out through the airlocks for their own death something so cool and so necessary to do? We did nothing. We didn’t enabled anything. He was already a psychopath, he was acting only for his own good, not to save anyone but to make a name for himself. Or are you going to deny that? You’re going to cover his ass just because he paid you once? Open your eyes and stop blaming me for something he already was! How easy it is for you to say oh you and Moxxi fucked him over when YOU enabled his egotism and thirst for become a hero by following his orders so quickly.

              If there’s someone who is guilty here for Jack, is himself. Use another damn argument if you want to make a valid point for the sake of saving your life❞.

“This is why I don’t get along with Sirens.” She sighed under her breath, she really hated how big their damn ego’s were. Just because they had the ability to melt the brains of someone or do some other fancy as shit ability made them goddess that walked the planet in their own eyes. That’s probably why there were a few killed recently. Anyone can be killed, even the legendary Lilith. “I’d hate to inform you Lilith, but I am not defeated. Sorry to burst your ego bubble.” She spat back, she was half tempted to walk away from this but she figured the siren wouldn’t let her. “Sounds like a nice application, about the same as mine. I killed the monster on the moon remember?” She said crossing her arms.” I killed a entire force myself. I may not be a doctor but I am a better killer then you will ever be. I could have you dead before a thought but consider it me being nice.” She crossed her arms and leaned against the wall, grunting a bit as she wondered where Janey was. She hoped the woman was safe and out of this crazed woman’s hand. Jack killed her boyfriend, big deal. They were enemies and it was to be expected.  “I did notice you idiot. I just follow my job through til the very end. If you don’t know, I even killed my own sister. Unlike you, I am loyal to the mission. Last time I checked, Moxxi almost killed me to get rid of Jack, why should I trust any of you?” She sighed a bit and rubbed the bridge of her nose.” Yes, I get it. He was crazy right off of the bat. But isn’t everyone on Pandora and in this universe? We kill hundreds of people a day don’t we? Maya and them have a Psycho in their ranks who talks about meat-cycles.” She groaned, this was going no where. “ I know he lost his way, I realized that. But what really killed who the hero was when you jumped out of no where and punched a molten hot piece of alien tech into his face. That was the thing that caused his Jenga to fall.”  Athena walked towards the other woman, glaring in her eyes.  “You want to know the argument I have Lilith? You need me for what is to come if you don’t remember what that weird alien said. If you wanted my help to kill Jack initially you could have put out a contract and hired me. But no, you want to put a bullet in someones head because you are pissed at what he did to Rolland. You killed Jack, you got your revenge and that is that. Last time I checked, you are friend with Claptrap and he helped right along with me. Why not kill him too? So are you just against because I had the best shot to kill him? Also, if you don’r remember it Lilith you were there too, you could have put a bullet in his head too but you didn’t. So pass you childish blame game onto someone else.”  Athena by that point was in the other’s face. “So, either we can keep trying to kill each other by barking or we can get along and protect what we have left. Because us trying to kill each other opens up weak points which could lead to your friends deaths and mine.”
