The young man stretched as he left the school building. He felt a pop in his shoulder and sighed in relief. Training was especially tough today and he was stiff all over...
He soon settled on a bench and sunk into it as much as he could. All around he heard the cries of Starly and Budew going about their business. But then he heard one other sound.
A bark.
Allen sat up straight as the barking got closer, a Houndour charging from the woods. The dog pokemon put his paws on the bunch and barked again, leaning into Allen's touch.
"Hey boy, having a good day so far? Won't be much longer until I'm out of here and we'll be partners."
