It's been another great pause of time since the short rabbit detective has been quiet and absent, but today...IS DIFFERENT. A numerous amount of texts were sent to Bark's (most likely on silent?) phone, all from said detective. It was him texting about...An adventure he was on? And he found the child he was looking for finally! They had ended up going on a wild adventure together! But in the end, the kid said they couldn't hang out together just yet. But hey, they took a selfie together!

For Bark to get a text was… really out of place to say the least. The only people who really contacted him was Nack - and on the rare occasion, Maw. And even that was being generous. Bark really kept his connections small as.. well.. in all honesty? He wasn’t a fan of much company. So when he got the photo - he was more than confused.

The big brute picked up the phone and looked at it, ear twitching. Well.. the last thing he was expecting was the small detective.

Now… uh… here came the problem. Bark uh… Bark didn’t even communicate through words in text. So he wasn’t sure what he was supposed to say or do. Guess it was all up to chance that the tiny detective would know what he’s communicating…?

sonic: hes rarely shown eating anything other than chili dogs and the stuff he does eat doesnt really provide much in the way of vitamin c, but he does seem to have very good stamina so his relationship with knuckles is probably the only thing standing between him and scurvy 8/10

eggman: yeah 10/10

tails: on one hand, sonic’s best friend. on the other hand, very smart. probably knows better. 3/10

knuckles: the dude loves fruit and has been living off of it for at least 15 years he breathes vitamin c if anything hes got anti-scurvy -100/10

amy: kind, smart and responsible. this girl eats her fruits. likes to make cakes with fruits in them. 0/10

metal sonic: robots cant get scurvy 0/10

vector: smart but not wise, which makes him suceptible to it but the fact of the matter is we dont have enough information. crocodiles are carnivores tho so he might not need fruit. 5/10

espio: good relationship with knuckles as well as being smart, so unlikely. 1/10

charmy: we dont know how he feels about fruit but he sure doesnt listen to anyone 5/10

shadow: hasnt eaten a fruit since he got out of suspended animation and thinks being the ultimate lifeform makes him immune to scurvy. it doesnt. 11/10

rouge: lots of kinds of bats eat fruit and she never seems noticably fatigued so unlikely. 2/10

cream: her mom makes sure she eats healthy 0/10

blaze: seems responsible AND cats are carnivores so not likely. I wonder what kind of fruits they have in her dimension 1/10

silver: from a fruitless future 9/10

tangle: described as a kindred spirit to sonic and we havent seen enough of her to prove she DOESNT have scurvy 9/10

whisper: mysterious and the only one whos never shown to be able to do a lot of running/fighting without any signs of soreness/fatigue. information is low but her chances are looking pretty good 7/10

fang: he just does trust me 10/10

bean: bites directly into unpeeled lemons like apples 0/10

Apologies for the absence, but Lepori had a life changing event while I was away! He finally found the kid he's been looking for, alive and well!

Sadly, after their sudden adventure ended, the kid informed Lepori he couldn't come back with him just yet, but to not be so distressed anymore.

Then proceeded to take a selfie with his reincarnated babysitter now detective.

Guess who is finally back and very exhausted? Lepori! He has most likely passed out on the couch, boxes beside said couch, each with a name of a hooligan written on them. A variety pack of huge beef jerky strips and 300 rings for Bark, way too many nickles for Bean, as well as a another box inside with four different doughnuts, and Nack got some ammo, and 1,000 rings. There's a small note saying he has a bonus surprise to share. But to let him nap first if he's still asleep.

Of course, as the Hooligans were coming in, they hadn’t expected to have a sudden visitor. It’s been a while since they’ve heard from the tiny detective [much to Nack’s approval] - so it seemed to catch him off guard when he seen the small blue one on his couch. 

“…” And he really didn’t seem too amused with it as he stopped mid-sentence of scolding Bean. Ah great….

“Gedd’up,” He demanded, kicking the couch as a sudden way to demand he woke up. Not even seeing, nor caring about the note or gifts.

“Look at all those shinies!” Though clearly Bean didn’t miss them “Santa came late this year!” 

Bark stood beside the couch, next to Nack. Why did this small bunny keep coming back? What was bringing him back and why hadn’t he stayed away when he knew how dangerous being around here could be. Honestly, it was a wonder.

Lepori let out a groan at the couch being kicked, but he sat up either way. He squinted up at Nack His entire body felt like lead, and it was hard to keep his eyes open.  He mumbled something out, taking out a large, cut gem. Its many flat surfaces  reflected the dim light, making it glimmer and sparkle. The color of it was a burning orange hue, veins of red inside the hardened, valuable mineral. The only word the half asleep detective managed to speak out was ‘souvenir’.

The weasel exchanged the tired look for a dirty look as he took the gem and snatched it - giving it a look over then looking at Lepori. “The hell do ya keep comin’ into my house for?” 

“Be nice to shiny Santa! He brought SO much for Bean!” 

He then held one of the shiny shiny nickles up at the light to admire how beautifuly perfect it was.

Lepori remained quiet, seeming to think of why. Why DID he keep coming back into a den of wanted criminals? He exhaled softly, his exhausted frame slumping forward a little.

"I dunno... The first thing I thought of was that you guys are a distraction. 'N' friends, I guess." Lepori certainly didn't mean 'distraction' in a bad way, considering the fact he still has yet to try and turn them in. Most likely a distraction from his own personal thoughts. "I'd rather think about you nerds instead." He yawned out, words barely intelligible.

He lies down again, curled up in the corner of of the couch. One eye remained partially opened, mostly to let them know he hadn't fallen back asleep just yet.
