It's an average day at the rescue. Nothing too unusual, but then someone shows up who seems a bit out of place given everyone else here.

The most obvious part being she has massive beautiful angel wings tucked behind her back. They have black feathers dotted through the white ones. She's quite tall, likely around 6'3, and has pink hair cut into a short bob with some wave.

Her eyes are a pretty green with black and white specs in them. Fair skin with freckles, and her figure has some smooth soft curve to it.

She radiates comfort and clarity.

She seems to be looking around when she eventually spots the rescue. She does love animals...

*Stitch runs over to the newcomer, barking excitedly. Mateo follows behind her. He looks a bit worse for wear- eyebags under his eyes, unruly hair, and quite a bit of inanimal fluff and “fur” on his person. He smiles at Cher as he approaches, at the same time trying to wrangle the very excitable frayhound.*

Sorry, she’s always excited when visitors come- ¡Oyé, Stitch, no saltar, por favor!

*Stitch eventually calms at Mateo’s direction, though her tail still wags a mile a minute as she inspects the newcomer with her snoot. Mateo, however, is wonderstruck at the visitor’s appearance now that he’s had a chance to notice- especially her wings.*

Dios mío…

Cher smiles brightly at Stitch and kneels down to offer her pets as Cher looks up at Mateo with a now softened smile.

"It's quiet alright, dear." She has a warm, soft, soothing voice with a slight southern accent. Though southern would be the closest description, it's still distinctly different.

"I'm Cher, and who may you be?"

She stretches her wings slightly when she notices Mateo looking at them, but she doesn't comment on it.

Oh! I’m Mateo- Mateo Manta- I take care of all the inanimals here at Scraps of Hope. It’s nice to meet you, Cher! You uh- your wings are really nice, and they look super soft!

"It's lovely to meet ya was well, Mateo. I love animals so I am glad to find myself here."

She smiles a bit more at the compliment as she stands back up.

"Thank you! I take good care of em, so they tend to be very soft... Would ya like to feel em?"

She spread out her left wing a bit more.

"Your hair looks quite soft as well, though you seem a bit tired?"

She asks softly, some concern present, but she doesn't assume much right now.

My hair is very soft, sí! And I am a little tired, but I’m okay! The inanimals still need a lot of care…

*Mateo waves away her concern (he doesn’t want to be seen as a bother) as he gets closer to touch the extended wing. His eyes widen when his fingers make contact.*

They are soft, even softer than they look! Incredible…

Cher tilts her head a little, concern a bit more settled in.

"Thank you... Hmm... Ya know people have said they feel like a weight blanket to lay under? Soft and warm... It is good to rest if ya need it, makes sure ya able to continue working easier too."

She smiles softly and shows the full 20ft wing span of her wings before folding them back in.

"Ya sure ya wouldn't want to rest for a bit? I would be happy to rest with ya if ya'd like as well?"

She looks incredibly soft... And warm... Her voice soothing... She radiates comfort on top of it all.

A weighted blanket, huh?

*Mateo considers her words even as her presence beckons him closer- it would be better for him to rest now so he can keep taking care of the inanimals, he agrees. He rubs the back of his neck as he finally accepts.*

…Maybe just a little bit.

Cher's eyes soften when he agrees, and she offers her hand to him.

"Do ya have a place ya would like to rest?"

She does plan on snuggling, she's never minded that even with new people, so she checks on where Mateo rather cuddle.

My bedroom? I-it’s comfy there, and there’d be enough room for you to lay down comfortably…

*There he goes, putting others first again. He takes her hand, warm and soft as he leads the way to his bedroom. Stitch follows curiously, tail wagging.*

Cher chuckles lightly, and follows him.

"Don't worry about me too much. I'm quite good laying anywhere, hun. You should be comfortable too."

She purrs quietly as he leads her to his bedroom.

"Should put yaself first sometimes, ya know?... Would think if someone was offering help they'd be meaning for that."

She speaks softly and sweetly with those words.

I know, y lo siento. I just always feel guilty when I do- but I’m trying to work on it!

*Mateo enters his bedroom. His bed is large, cozy and inviting with multiple soft blankets strewn about. Fairy lights are strung around the walls, and a corkboard of sticky notes and polaroids of the inanimals hangs on one wall. The room is otherwise simple, but cozy.*

Cher smiles softly and looks around the room.

"I'm glad you're working on it. Ya deserve some time to relax, I can tell. Some people want ya to rely on em too, deary."

She walks over to the bed to lay down and offer to hold Mateo.

"I'm quite happy to have people rely on me for example."

She's always loved caring for other people when she can.

*Mateo follows Cher to the bed, the tiny voice of anxiety in his mind making him fidget with the hem of his coat. Like he explained earlier, he feels guilty asking for things for himself- which includes now.*

Are you sure? It’s- I’m not being a burden?

Cher smiles softly and sighs.

"I'm quite sure, hun. You're not being a burden... I don't consider anyone a burden."

She offers her hand to him as she lays there.

"Ya've been quite sweet already. I can tell ya take good care of this place too. I would say from what I can see ya do more than enough already... I quite like animals to begin with, I can surely admire someone runnin a rescue for em with that in mind."

Her voice is soft and kind. She doesn't push to change his mindset, just wanting to him to understand at least she doesn't see him as a burden. Doesn't matter if they just met to her; she's happy to help anyone.

*Mateo takes in her words before he climbs onto his bed like a nervous pup to sit beside her. He’s not used to being the one cuddled and taken care of, so he’s not really sure what to do.*

I… do take good care of all of the inanimals. Gotta make sure they’re happy, you know?

"They look very happy. I can tell ya doin a good job, dear..."

She looks at him and lifts one of her wings up.

"Would ya let me hold you and I can lay my wing over ya?... As long as your comfortable with that."

She looks really soft, and warm.

"Maybe once ya get some rest you can show me round?... After ya rest first though, hun."

I’d be happy to.

*Mateo nods after a moment, carefully laying down next to her. He wiggles a little closer, feeling the warmth emanating from her. Mateo’s naturally warm too, but Cher somehow seems warmer than even him.*

You’re so warm…

Cher smiles happily and lets her wing lay over him. It feels so soft, yet has a gentle soothing weight to it.

"Comfy? Hope I'm not too warm."

She chuckles warmly, as she lightly jokes.

"Ya feel quite warm yourself too..."

She gently pulls him closer if he lets her.

Cher's so soft, like perfect clouds made of silk, and her warmth feels like sunlight on a comfortable sunny day.

She hums for a moment before asking something.

"Do you like having your hair played with?" She asks as if offering to do so.

*Mateo nods, wrapping his own arms around her too. The weight of Cher’s wing is nice, and he feels like he’s melting from how comfortable he is. He doesn’t remember the last time he felt this relaxed.*

Mhm…

Cher takes a deep breath and sighs contently as she starts purring softly.

"Good... You can rest, hun."

She runs one of her hands through his hair as she settles her own body fully too.

"Ya earned it, mk?"

She mumbles softly.

*Mateo becomes a puddle in her arms when her hand makes contact with his hair, nuzzling into her touch. He protests weakly though, not wanting to abandon his flock.*

What about the inanimals though- what if something happens and I’m not awake to help them?

Cher sighs and gently ruffles his hair with a chuckle.

"Don't worry, hun... I will know if anything happens, and I will wake ya up if anything does, okay? I'm a light sleeper."

She speaks gently and reassuringly.

"Shh... It's okay. I promise."

*He folds under her gentle ruffling of his hair, letting his eyes close.*

Okay. I’ll just… rest my eyes…

*…He’s asleep in less than ten minutes.*

Cher smiles softly and falls asleep shortly after making sure he was asleep, purring happily and contently.

*Mateo wakes a few hours later, warm and his head fuzzy as he blinks the sleep from his eyes. He’s still very relaxed, and very much content to just lay there in Cher’s arms, wrapped in her wings.*

Cher wakes up a few minutes later, and slowly blinks as she stretches her wings over Mateo more.

"Hi... Rest okay, hun?"

She mumbles softly and plays with his hair again.

*He nods with a hum, nuzzling into the crook of Cher’s neck. He’s very cuddly now, especially since Cher’s so comfy.*

Mhm, really good. Don’t think I’ve slept that well before…

Cher chuckles and holds Mateo closely.

"I'm glad I could help ya sleep good then."

She runs her hand through Mateo's hair as she runs her other hand along his back gently.

"Feelin cuddly now?" She says softly with some amusement.

Mm, sí…

*He coos and nods, nuzzling closer again. He knows he should probably check on the inanimals, but he feels too cozy to move.*

‘S that okay?

Cher nods and purrs more as she sighs contently.

"Mhm... That's okay, hun."

She lays there fore a while just cuddling and holding Mateo closely.

"When do ya need to get up though?... I wouldn't want to interrupt your routine too much. Take your time still..."

She speaks softly and quietly.

*The fuzziness in Mateo’s head had gone away finally, and he can think coherent thoughts now. He stretches a little before moving to carefully sit up, smiling softly.*

Now would probably be a good time- I can show you around the rescue!

Cher smiles softly and sits up, stretching here wings and flapping them just slightly.

"That sounds good now!"

She yawns and takes a second more to fully wake herself up.

*Mateo nods and gets off the bed. Somewhere in the quiet rescue, there’s a bark, then paws skittering. Stitch appears in the doorway moments later, running straight for the bed (and Cher). She borks happily, tail wagging as she licks Cher’s face with a fabric tongue. Mateo laughs.*

Looks like someone missed you! At least she waited for us to wake up first, heh!

Cher was about to get off the bed too when Stitch runs in.

She giggles and pets Stitch.

"Awe hi sweetheart. Missed me, huh? Good girl for being patient though, yeah?"

Cher smiles brightly as she pets behind Stitches ears.

"Such a cutie, aren't ya?"

*Stitch’s tail wags harder at the praise and attention. She’s cute and she knows it! Mateo gives the frayhound some pets too.*

I’m… not sure if I introduced her earlier, but this is Stitch! She was my very first rescue. She was trapped under some boxes for years, and the homeowner recently helped me find her after Davi went missing!

"Stitch seems rather suiting for her."

She smiles softly and pats Stitch's head before getting up fully.

"I'm glad you were able to find her. I can tell she's quite happy here now... I'm glad the homeowner was there to help as well."

"Did ya have a certain area ya would want to show me first?"

*Stitch follows Cher, hopping off the bed and circling around her happily. Mateo thinks for a moment, then nods as he starts to head out of his bedroom and into the rest of the rescue. It’s… oddly quiet for a space where a bunch of inanimals exist.*

I’d love to introduce all of the rescues to you if you have the time- but we can start with the tasselhounds!

Cher chuckles at Stitch and watches her circle her.

"Ain't ya a bit silly."

She follows Mateo happily.

She looks around when realizing how quiet it is.

"Tasselhounds sound fun to start with— Though how is it so quiet? I don't think I seen a rescue this quiet before."

She's very curious, and a tad confused.

I… don’t know.

*Mateo frowns in concern as he looks around before heading to the tasselhounds’ area of the rescue. He opens the door… and pauses.*

Wh-…

*The tasselhounds are all in their beds or snuggling around another, asleep. Stitch wags her tail as Mateo steps to the side to let Cher inside the room to see. It seems the inanimals knew Mateo needed to rest, so they all decided it was naptime. Mateo whispers so they aren’t disturbed, wonder in his voice.*

They’ve never done this before!

Cher follows and looks around with a soft fond small when she sees all the tasselhounds resting.

"I think they knew ya needed rest, hun."

She also says in a hushed voice.

I… guess so!

*Stitch borks in agreement, unfortunately not lowering her own volume. Some of the tasselhounds stir and blink sleepily, getting to their paws when they see Cher. Mateo points the first one out as they approach- a little pompomeranian with fur made of colorful puffballs.*

That one’s Poplin, he’s a pompomeranian! He loves playing fetch, and he’s really good at rolling over!

Cher chuckles quietly at Stitch and looks at Poplin.

"Awe... He's so cute."

She kneels down to Poplin and holds out her hand to see if he would like pets.

"Fetch and roll over, hm?..."

She looks around for a ball nearby.

*There’s a basket of dog toys nearby- various squeaky balls, tennis balls, rope toys, bones, etc. Poplin seems to understand she wants to play with him, wagging his little puffball tail as he sits.*

Cher smiles happily and grabs a squeaky ball out of the basket.

"Aw good boy. How about ya roll over and then I'll toss the ball, hm?"

She shifts to sit on the floor fully now.

*Poplin barks and rolls over once, then rolls over again onto his back, paws in the air. Mateo giggles.*

¡Muy bien Poplin!

Cher giggles as well and squeaks the ball.

"Very good! Ya want the ball now?"

She smiles and tosses it a decent way.

"They were put in a box of cables that don't get used anymore. So I rescued them!" They said proudly. "I don't know much about snakes but i've been doing my best to care for them!"

*After making sure the inanimals were all tucked in for bed, Mateo headed up the stairs to the attic. It had been a while since he promised Cody he’d stop by, and the guilt had gnawed at his threads until finally, he decided to take action. He’s not sure where in the attic Cody resides, so he immediately looks around after opening the door.*

Cody? It’s Mateo! I know it’s been a while, and I hope this isn’t a bad time…

[Cody sits on the attic floor surrounded by five unfinished craft projects, all of which he's ignoring in favour of doodling on scrap paper. Putting the finishing touches on his drawing, he holds it up to Stringue like she'll give him valuable feedback.]

"Whaddya think? You think she'll like it?"

[Stringue's not interested in the drawing at all, her eye darts over and she hisses when she spots Mateo.]

"Okay well there's no way the drawing is that bad-"

[Cody whips his head around when he realizes what Stringue's hissing at.]

"Oh! Mateo! Hii!! It's most certainly not a bad time at all!"

[Cody very enthusiastically waves him over.]

*Mateo smiles and makes his way over, making sure to give Stringue extra space. There’s a crinkling sound coming from a pocket in his coat- he’d brought treats for the cat! He looks around at the various projects with interest. He might’ve come upstairs on a mission, but he’d always push things off to the side to help a friend!*

You seem to be working on a lot! That’s great! Did you need help with any of them?

[Stringue knows that crinkling sound. Her ears perk up, she keeps her eyes fixed on Mateo, but she's too weary of him to approach.]

"Oh! You don't have to help, but you certainly can if ya think it'd be fun! Don't mind the mess, I just like being busy."

*Mateo giggles as he watches Stringue perk up. He pulls out the bag of treats and shows it to the cat.*

Is this what you’re looking for, sweetheart? You want some treats?

*He turns to Cody, nodding in thought. He’s ready to focus on the task at hand- helping Cody with Stringue.*

Maybe later, then! …Did you still need help with Stringue? I brought a new bag of the treats she likes!

[Stringue dares to shift a little closer, deciding the potential for treats was worth the risk. She continues to stare at Mateo.]

"I really do... I'd be real greatful for any advice at all. I always feel like I'm doing somethin' wrong, especially since she wasn't always this agressive. I mean, she's always been a bit of a troublemaker, but she just seems ta hate everyone lately..."

"...Well, everyone who isn't holdin' treats over her head, apparently."

*Mateo coos and sits down on the floor as he opens the treats, shaking a few onto the ground between him and Stringue. He pauses at Cody’s words, humming in thought.*

…Did something happen to cause her to act more aggressively? An accident, a run-in with another inanimal or object maybe?

[Stringue crouches down to happily munch on the treats. Her tail rises up.]

"...Yeah. A pretty big accident. Ah- It's something I don't usually talk about, but I know you just wanna know to help Stringue so... I'll try ta keep it short."

[Cody seems a bit hesitant, but he shakes it off, puts on a smile and tries to at least tell his story in a lighthearted way.]

"Ya see, this real funny thing happens where if the latches on my bin are down, the spirit of me can't exactly...get out? It used to not be much of a problem back when my bin still got opened sometimes when the homeowner worked on projects..."

[Cody suddenly finds it difficult to make eye contact, so he looks down at Stringue instead, absentmindedly petting her while she eats.]

"But... I found Stringue a bit before the homeowner lost interest in me. And when there was no interest in making stuff anymore, those latches came down permanently. Stringue was stuck in the bin with me for years with no way out. ...Not the best environment for a kitten to grow up in. We were only let out recently and well...she just hasn't been the same since."

Dios mío… I’m so sorry to hear that. …It makes sense why she’d be so aggressive- she’s so used to being in a small space that suddenly being in the open house terrifies her, so she’s lashing out because she’s scared.

*Mateo looks upset on behalf of Stringue, shaking out more treats for the kitty.*

We can help her though, but it’ll take a lot of time and patience. …Does she have a specific place in the house where she feels the safest? I figured it’s up here in the attic, but I just thought I’d ask to make sure.

[Stringue was glancing over to Cody, like she could sense his slight discomfort. But she's completely distracted when more treats fall in front of her. She's back to happily munching away.]

"Wherever I am, usually. Or- wherever 'home' is. I've been moved around before."

"When we were set free I did just kinda let her come and go as she pleased. I didn't wanna restrict her cause I thought she'd already had enough 'a that. Maybe I shoulda been keeping a closer watch over her though... Might be a bit my fault... But I definitely wanna do whatever it takes to help her now."

Okay, that’s a great start! It’s important that she has a safe place to be and come back to.

*As he speaks, Mateo watches Stringue closely for signs that she’s calming down. He’s trying not to make eye contact with the cat though!*

Remember she’s lashing out because she’s scared and not used to an open space, so make sure she always has access to her safe space, where she’d have everything she needs in one smaller area. Quiet time and patience are key for her to calm down. Make sure you move slowly when you do move around or near her, and having a routine would help her too if you don’t have one already!

*He looks around the room next for spaces Stringue could look out from, like a cat tree or a cabinet. She could perch on top of boxes, or the windowsill, or on top of Hector…*

Do you have a cat tree? Being able to watch everything going on from an elevated position would help her feel calmer! …It would also help to just exist in the same room as her without acknowledging her- that way she can approach on her own terms!

It's an average day at the rescue. Nothing too unusual, but then someone shows up who seems a bit out of place given everyone else here.

Her eyes are a pretty green with black and white specs in them. Fair skin with freckles, and her figure has some smooth soft curve to it.

She radiates comfort and clarity.

She seems to be looking around when she eventually spots the rescue. She does love animals...

Cher smiles brightly at Stitch and kneels down to offer her pets as Cher looks up at Mateo with a now softened smile.

"It's quiet alright, dear." She has a warm, soft, soothing voice with a slight southern accent. Though southern would be the closest description, it's still distinctly different.

"I'm Cher, and who may you be?"

She stretches her wings slightly when she notices Mateo looking at them, but she doesn't comment on it.

Oh! I’m Mateo- Mateo Manta- I take care of all the inanimals here at Scraps of Hope. It’s nice to meet you, Cher! You uh- your wings are really nice, and they look super soft!

"It's lovely to meet ya was well, Mateo. I love animals so I am glad to find myself here."

She smiles a bit more at the compliment as she stands back up.

"Thank you! I take good care of em, so they tend to be very soft... Would ya like to feel em?"

She spread out her left wing a bit more.

"Your hair looks quite soft as well, though you seem a bit tired?"

She asks softly, some concern present, but she doesn't assume much right now.

My hair is very soft, sí! And I am a little tired, but I’m okay! The inanimals still need a lot of care…

*Mateo waves away her concern (he doesn’t want to be seen as a bother) as he gets closer to touch the extended wing. His eyes widen when his fingers make contact.*

They are soft, even softer than they look! Incredible…

Cher tilts her head a little, concern a bit more settled in.

"Thank you... Hmm... Ya know people have said they feel like a weight blanket to lay under? Soft and warm... It is good to rest if ya need it, makes sure ya able to continue working easier too."

She smiles softly and shows the full 20ft wing span of her wings before folding them back in.

"Ya sure ya wouldn't want to rest for a bit? I would be happy to rest with ya if ya'd like as well?"

She looks incredibly soft... And warm... Her voice soothing... She radiates comfort on top of it all.

A weighted blanket, huh?

…Maybe just a little bit.

Cher's eyes soften when he agrees, and she offers her hand to him.

"Do ya have a place ya would like to rest?"

She does plan on snuggling, she's never minded that even with new people, so she checks on where Mateo rather cuddle.

My bedroom? I-it’s comfy there, and there’d be enough room for you to lay down comfortably…

*There he goes, putting others first again. He takes her hand, warm and soft as he leads the way to his bedroom. Stitch follows curiously, tail wagging.*

"Don't worry about me too much. I'm quite good laying anywhere, hun. You should be comfortable too."

She purrs quietly as he leads her to his bedroom.

"Should put yaself first sometimes, ya know?... Would think if someone was offering help they'd be meaning for that."

Cher's so soft, like perfect clouds made of silk, and her warmth feels like sunlight on a comfortable sunny day.

She hums for a moment before asking something.

"Do you like having your hair played with?" She asks as if offering to do so.

Cher takes a deep breath and sighs contently as she starts purring softly.

"Good... You can rest, hun."

She runs one of her hands through his hair as she settles her own body fully too.

"Ya earned it, mk?"

*Mateo becomes a puddle in her arms when her hand makes contact with his hair, nuzzling into her touch. He protests weakly though, not wanting to abandon his flock.*

Cher sighs and gently ruffles his hair with a chuckle.

"Don't worry, hun... I will know if anything happens, and I will wake ya up if anything does, okay? I'm a light sleeper."

*He folds under her gentle ruffling of his hair, letting his eyes close.*

She yawns and takes a second more to fully wake herself up.

She looks really soft, and warm.

Cher smiles happily and lets her wing lay over him. It feels so soft, yet has a gentle soothing weight to it.

"Comfy? Hope I'm not too warm."

She chuckles warmly, as she lightly jokes.

"Ya feel quite warm yourself too..."

She gently pulls him closer if he lets her.

Cher's so soft, like perfect clouds made of silk, and her warmth feels like sunlight on a comfortable sunny day.

She hums for a moment before asking something.

"Do you like having your hair played with?" She asks as if offering to do so.

Mhm…

Cher takes a deep breath and sighs contently as she starts purring softly.

"Good... You can rest, hun."

She runs one of her hands through his hair as she settles her own body fully too.

"Ya earned it, mk?"

She mumbles softly.

*Mateo becomes a puddle in her arms when her hand makes contact with his hair, nuzzling into her touch. He protests weakly though, not wanting to abandon his flock.*

What about the inanimals though- what if something happens and I’m not awake to help them?

Cher sighs and gently ruffles his hair with a chuckle.

"Don't worry, hun... I will know if anything happens, and I will wake ya up if anything does, okay? I'm a light sleeper."

She speaks gently and reassuringly.

"Shh... It's okay. I promise."

*He folds under her gentle ruffling of his hair, letting his eyes close.*

Okay. I’ll just… rest my eyes…

*…He’s asleep in less than ten minutes.*

Cher smiles softly and falls asleep shortly after making sure he was asleep, purring happily and contently.

Cher wakes up a few minutes later, and slowly blinks as she stretches her wings over Mateo more.

"Hi... Rest okay, hun?"

She mumbles softly and plays with his hair again.

*He nods with a hum, nuzzling into the crook of Cher’s neck. He’s very cuddly now, especially since Cher’s so comfy.*

Mhm, really good. Don’t think I’ve slept that well before…

Cher chuckles and holds Mateo closely.

"I'm glad I could help ya sleep good then."

She runs her hand through Mateo's hair as she runs her other hand along his back gently.

"Feelin cuddly now?" She says softly with some amusement.

Mm, sí…

*He coos and nods, nuzzling closer again. He knows he should probably check on the inanimals, but he feels too cozy to move.*

‘S that okay?

Cher nods and purrs more as she sighs contently.

"Mhm... That's okay, hun."

She lays there fore a while just cuddling and holding Mateo closely.

"When do ya need to get up though?... I wouldn't want to interrupt your routine too much. Take your time still..."

She speaks softly and quietly.

*The fuzziness in Mateo’s head had gone away finally, and he can think coherent thoughts now. He stretches a little before moving to carefully sit up, smiling softly.*

Now would probably be a good time- I can show you around the rescue!

Cher smiles softly and sits up, stretching here wings and flapping them just slightly.

"That sounds good now!"

She yawns and takes a second more to fully wake herself up.

Looks like someone missed you! At least she waited for us to wake up first, heh!

Cher was about to get off the bed too when Stitch runs in.

She giggles and pets Stitch.

"Awe hi sweetheart. Missed me, huh? Good girl for being patient though, yeah?"

Cher smiles brightly as she pets behind Stitches ears.

"Such a cutie, aren't ya?"

*Stitch’s tail wags harder at the praise and attention. She’s cute and she knows it! Mateo gives the frayhound some pets too.*

"Stitch seems rather suiting for her."

She smiles softly and pats Stitch's head before getting up fully.

"I'm glad you were able to find her. I can tell she's quite happy here now... I'm glad the homeowner was there to help as well."

"Did ya have a certain area ya would want to show me first?"

I’d love to introduce all of the rescues to you if you have the time- but we can start with the tasselhounds!

Cher chuckles at Stitch and watches her circle her.

"Ain't ya a bit silly."

She follows Mateo happily.

She looks around when realizing how quiet it is.

"Tasselhounds sound fun to start with— Though how is it so quiet? I don't think I seen a rescue this quiet before."

She's very curious, and a tad confused.

I… don’t know.

*Mateo frowns in concern as he looks around before heading to the tasselhounds’ area of the rescue. He opens the door… and pauses.*

They’ve never done this before!

Cher follows and looks around with a soft fond small when she sees all the tasselhounds resting.

"I think they knew ya needed rest, hun."

She also says in a hushed voice.

I… guess so!

That one’s Poplin, he’s a pompomeranian! He loves playing fetch, and he’s really good at rolling over!

Cher chuckles quietly at Stitch and looks at Poplin.

"Awe... He's so cute."

She kneels down to Poplin and holds out her hand to see if he would like pets.

"Fetch and roll over, hm?..."

She looks around for a ball nearby.
