"I've been okay today, but on the topic of Light... I'm not quite sure. I get he's rather busy, but he's been ignoring me for these past couple days... I've been doing my best to give him space, but I think I agitated him today..."

"I tried to give him breakfast since he's been skipping meals b-but he started yelling at me, can you believe the nerve?!" *Misa pouted and genuine tears started to build up in her eyes.* "I-I...I think he was about t-to hit me before I left... “Firstly, there’s no need to do that, my optimal way of sleeping is in my usual position slightly to the left; secondly, I am twenty five years old, not a child. I sleep when my body shuts down.

Agitated? ..ah. Forgive me, it might be my fault, I have been putting some pressure on him lately, I did not think he was going to take it out on you; he knows what comes with being a suspect, I thought he would have released his anger by screaming or something…

*A couple minutes pass before Misa comes in, carrying the tray of biscuits and tea for both of them, setting it on the table while she sits across from L, smiling, her distraught and tears completely gone.*

"So! I have a couple notes, but I'd say you did pretty well! You do have a small issue when it comes to laying the problems out, you come off too blunt and that may anger or cause fear in who you're speaking too. Rather than blankly asking "have they hit you before", try to sugar coat it a bit! But the way you distracted me was a good way to distract the person from the fears! I'd give you a 7/10 on performance! What would you rate me, Ryuzaki?"

He takes the tea in his hands, holding them weirdly as he does with any object, and slipping numerous cubes of sugar on it one after the other.

“I have been told that I am ‘too blunt’ which has been a problem for me sometimes, but I’m afraid that I don’t have the vocal range or skills to change that. I realize it’s a bit too monotonous, perhaps that is why most of the Task Force gets mad at me, I do sound insensitive, that’s how my voice is, though.

I’m unsure how to appear more empathetic, my consistent human interactions are restricted to policemen and bureaus, and the way of speaking there is strictly professional — it’s possible it rubbed off on me, oh well.

I didn’t expect to receive such a high rating, and people say I’m socially inept! Thank you, your acting skills are as convincing as ever, have you done these kind of scenes before? I would give you a nine, you were very good, a very skilled actress.”

"I totally understand the monotone voice thing, I used to have the same issue before I started my career. I often sounded 'too blunt' as well. If you ever wanted to try and fix that slightly, there's voice training, which is what I did!"

"Well, honestly, when it comes to empathy... If you can't create your own empathy, like some people, you can always fake it. It gets draining after a while, but if you're only doing it towards victims or certain situations that definitely takes away a lot of the exhaustion."

I watch a lot of movies, documentaries and generally just watch people to see how they act and figure out why and than add that to myself. It's exhausting if you have to do it constantly like me, but it's rewarding too, hah..."
