------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Backstory Saturn was an orphan in the pits of hell, which lead to a lot of stealing, murder (albeit in self defense), etc. He doesn't like talking about it, and hasn't told anyone about most of it. He's very vague if he does talk about it, not wanting to be perceived as weak. He was summoned at the age of 20, and generally works most manual labor type jobs around the ministry (construction mostly, though he sometimes works as a guard if needed.) "Saturn.", They spoke. " I'm trying to prepare for the black mass. You must get out of the way." He sighed, "I don't understand why you are in here in the first place.."

"You expect too much from me, Saturn. I cannot make you feel better if you won't accept it."

“I’m sorry, man.. I..” he blinked, looking around. “I don’t know what else to do. The ministry hasn’t given me any work recently, and..” he trailed off, not really sure what else to say.

Why was he just following V around like a puppy? He needed to find himself something to keep occupied, some sort of job to do, but he just didn’t know what.

Perpetua had mauled over the thought of Saturn being his ghoul, what would he do?

He had went into his room, soon finding him drinking his pain away. Just as he met him.

"Saturn? Saturn I'm here... I wanted to discuss your new purpose but I suppose that we have bigger problems to discuss before that.. " he assessed.

“Hm..?” He looked up, head lolling to the side slightly. “Oh.. oh, yeah..” he slurred. “Sure.. that’s- that’s fine.”

"When was the last time you cleaned up?" He asked, looking at his disheveled form. "You can probably start there.." He suggested.

“I.. I’m not sure, I.. I’ll be fine.” He slurred, clearly rather incapacitated- which was his goal, after all.

"No no.. I can help if you would like.." He immediately shut his mouth. "I do not mean to be weird. I just want to help." He assured.

“Whatever..” he blinked slowly, adjusting to the light before clumsily shuffling to his feet.

"I can get clothes out for you for when you are done!!!" He started to go through drawers. He was very invasive, but he has a good heart. Mostly.

“Yeah, yeah, sure..” he muttered, slipping his shirt over his head. Right now, he didn’t even take note of the scars on his chest- something that usually bothered him- too consumed in other pains.

"I think that you'd be a good ghoul for the position of protecting the Papas.. What do you think?"

[ask-saturn-ghoul]

“I.. I dunno, maybe..” he muttered.

Part of him felt that he’d be good at the job, it was what he knew- he’ll, he’d done some occasional bodyguard type work for the Papas before, just never officially.

Another part of him, however, was triggered by the idea. He wasn’t a peace bringer by any means, he was violent when he needed to be, but there was still something deep down that felt wrong about it.

Either way, he was too drunk to fully think it over.

"perhaps, Ill give you time to think it over though!!" He sat back down on the bed. He had believed that Saturn would be good at it, but it just took time to know for sure.

He turned, his scars now full on display, though he was distracted enough not to realize.

“Alright, I’ll go.. shower, I guess..”

"Am I allowed to ask.... What happened to you????.. You don't look too well" He said bluntly, looking on edge.

“How do you mean..?” He grumbled, scratching at his arm.

"Well... " he gestured to his scars. "Does that not hurt? Or worrisome to you?"

[ask-saturn-ghoul]

“Oh, these..? They’re.. they’re old. Don’t hurt anymore.”

He seemed a little stand-offish about it.

"Well I hope they didn't hurt too much way back when.." He muttered.

[ask-saturn-ghoul]

“Eh, it’s.. been too long to remember for most of them,” he brushed off the question with a shrug, turning to head to the restroom.

"I see.." He said, Saturn soon going into the bathroom. Perpetua looked around Saturn's room as he was in the bathroom.

The room was scattered- not gross, just messy. Across from the bed, there was a short bookshelf, several things littered across it- CDs, car keys, his wallet, a couple bottles.. and on one side, untouched, lay a wolf skull. It was the only item still carefully placed and maintained.

On the other side of the room, there was a dresser, mostly containing old band tees, some stained and ratty tank tops (his workwear, of course), one or two half decent button ups shoved under everything else, and jeans. His tool belt laid on top of the dresser, alongside his pocket knife.

The walls were mostly blank, but a few posters had been haphazardly taped up at some point:

He hummed I'm acknowledgment at everything. "How.. Him." He smiled slightly. He waited for him to come out of the bathroom to help him clean up.

Around ten minutes later, he left the bathroom, dressed in solely a random pair of sweatpants he remembered were on the bathroom floor. He did not look entirely unlike a wet rat, but he at least seemed cleaner.

"Looking better than before I see, that's a good step forward," He encouraged.

“I.. uh.. I guess.” He muttered. “Can I go back to bed now..?”

"Saturn stop being a sad sack." He scolded. "You can't sleep in filth"

“Sorry, I-“ he shook his head. “I just don’t know what to do with myself anymore.” His voice broke a little, but he quickly swallowed it down.

"Clearly.." He sighed. "But you can't just give up over one hardship. You gotta persevere. Losing someone is hard, yes, but that doesn't mean you quit doing everything you enjoyed."

“I just- I couldn’t get better. I couldn’t get good enough for her, and now I don’t have anything to get better for at all.” He was surprisingly earnest, the alcohol having loosened his mind.

“I mean, I can’t say I haven’t thought about just.. going out into the woods and just.. not coming back.”

The implication was clearer than he’d probably intended. That, and the way he rubbed at his arm almost anxiously, as if scratching an itch that wasn’t there.

"I can see why you feel that way, Saturn." he put an arm on his shoulder. "I want to help you. Through it all, but you have to let me."

“Okay,” he replied quietly. “I can try.”

The response was almost sheepish, a little embarrassed that he needed help in the first place.

“So.. what do I do now..?”

"I'll help you clean up your room, and we'll go from there" He decided.

“That’s.. manageable.”

“I’ll- I’ll start with the bottles.” He began cleaning the empty bottles, but he did not address any fresh ones, simply moving those.

"I'll get the trash.." He got a trash bag and started getting it all.

He nodded.

It didn’t take long to get it relatively clean, and once it was over, Saturn stood in the middle of the room, taking a look over it. He visibly paused when his gaze reached the wolf skull, and he sighed, but he didn’t bring it up.

“Well.. I suppose that’s well and done, huh?”

"What else needs cleared up?" He questioned.

“I.. I can’t think of anything.”

He paused, silent. He was a little distant, his eyes glazed over, though it was unclear if that was from the alcohol or something else.

On the other side of the room, there was a dresser, mostly containing old band tees, some stained and ratty tank tops (his workwear, of course), one or two half decent button ups shoved under everything else, and jeans. His tool belt laid on top of the dresser, alongside his pocket knife.

The walls were mostly blank, but a few posters had been haphazardly taped up at some point:

Perpetua had mauled over the thought of Saturn being his ghoul, what would he do?

He had went into his room, soon finding him drinking his pain away. Just as he met him.

"Saturn? Saturn I'm here... I wanted to discuss your new purpose but I suppose that we have bigger problems to discuss before that.. " he assessed.

“Hm..?” He looked up, head lolling to the side slightly. “Oh.. oh, yeah..” he slurred. “Sure.. that’s- that’s fine.”

"When was the last time you cleaned up?" He asked, looking at his disheveled form. "You can probably start there.." He suggested.

“I.. I’m not sure, I.. I’ll be fine.” He slurred, clearly rather incapacitated- which was his goal, after all.

"No no.. I can help if you would like.." He immediately shut his mouth. "I do not mean to be weird. I just want to help." He assured.

“Whatever..” he blinked slowly, adjusting to the light before clumsily shuffling to his feet.

"I can get clothes out for you for when you are done!!!" He started to go through drawers. He was very invasive, but he has a good heart. Mostly.

“Yeah, yeah, sure..” he muttered, slipping his shirt over his head. Right now, he didn’t even take note of the scars on his chest- something that usually bothered him- too consumed in other pains.

"I think that you'd be a good ghoul for the position of protecting the Papas.. What do you think?"

“I.. I dunno, maybe..” he muttered.

Part of him felt that he’d be good at the job, it was what he knew- he’ll, he’d done some occasional bodyguard type work for the Papas before, just never officially.

Another part of him, however, was triggered by the idea. He wasn’t a peace bringer by any means, he was violent when he needed to be, but there was still something deep down that felt wrong about it.

Either way, he was too drunk to fully think it over.
