Logico is at @herbalist-onyx-offical’s house. He investigated a murder there, and was invited over.

“So, onyx, you were telling me about natural poisons?”

"Yes, I was. I find them to be interesting and think you could use the knowledge well. Knowing symptoms of different kinds of poisoning can help you deduce what poison was used to kill."

“I see, very interesting.”

Logico looks over at what Onyx is doing.

“…say, what are you doing with those leaves?They smell amazing.”

"..Nothing. Nothing at all. Don't worry about it."

Onyx quickly moves the leaves out of view and hides them.

"It's nothing you need to be concerned about. Just a little something for me."

This is not convincing to Logico.

“Well, that’s too bad, because I am very concerned.”

Logico gets up to look at what Onyx is doing.

The leaves turn out to be…

Tea leaves. Onyx was making tea for herself.

"Don't you dare."

Logico breathes in, trying not to laugh.

“What is so… special about these *snrk* tea leaves?”

"I just like tea. The flavor is nice. Coffee makes me feel like I'm about to collapse at any second. Also, you said it smelled amazing, does that mean you want some for yourself?"

Logico thinks for a second, then says

“I do. But, I drink coffee because hot leaf water doesn’t keep me awake.”

"So you prefer bean water to tea. Fascinating. I'm giving you some tea when it's ready anyway, since you said you'd like some."

"我想打你.. No, I shouldn't. Self-control."

“Wh- BEAN WATER? BEAN WATER? I SHOULD-”

Logico takes a deep breath.

“No vale la pena, no vale la pena, no vale la pena… PERO QUIERO- ay. No. No voy.”

"You called tea 'hot leaf water,' am I not allowed to do the same thing with what you like?"

“That is. A fair point.”

Logico is not going to commit murder. But by god does he want to.

“I am going to. Look at flowers. Outside.”

"Go ahead. I've got many."

Onyx looks out the window for a second and sees the many flowers, arranged based on appearance and symbolism, but also what can survive near what. Additionally, there's also tea leaves growing outside.

Logico looks outside and sees the tea leaves. He screams.

“OH MY [censored]ING GOD WHY ARE THERE MORE”

"What do you expect? I, someone who grows plants, would grow the tea leaves I'm using. Why do you even need to ask this?"

“I’m going to leave before I do something I regret.”

Logico makes it almost a meter before shouting again.

“AAAÆEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE THERE IS A FUCKING DEAD BODY AGAIN”

Logico dials a phone number he has dialed many times before.

“IRRATINO COME OVER TO ONYX’S HOUSE THERE IS A DEAD BODY HERE

BRING EMMA WITH YOU”

Several minutes later, Irratino arrives to Onyx's house, accompanied by Emma.

"Logico?? What the hell??? Why would you just HANG UP after saying that?????"

Emma slugs behind Irratino.

"uuugh, why do we have to be tackling a murder this early..."

Onyx steps outside her house, only to see Logico's face in a plant, a dead body, her boss, and Emma.

"What the fern.."

Onyx sees that the plant Logico is in is her tea plant

"You've got to be kidding.."

Emma sees that Logico has fallen asleep in the plant.

"huh...guess he's tired like me.."

Emma struggles to stand up and keep her eyes open. She starts falling towards Logico's body.

Onyx sees that Emma is starting to fall and tries to catch her. However, Onyx is around a head shorter than Emma and ends up being crushed instead.

"..Ah. It hurts. Interesting. Can you get up? I'll let you in my house since we're here and you can rest on the couch."

Emma is already asleep.

(Sigh) "Here, let me help you with that..."

He wakes up Emma and helps her to stand.

"Do you need any help as well, Onyx?"

"I can get up on my own. Deductive Logico may need your help though. I knew he would come outside but I wasn't expecting him to collapse on top of a plant."

Onyx stands up, then looks around before staring at something

"Why is there a corpse in my garden..?"

"I'm...not sure. Hold on a moment..."

Irratino walks over to where Logico is laying and nudges his shoulder.

"Logico.. wake up... We gotta solve this murder."

“Hhhhhhhhh”

Logico is slowly gaining consciousness. He turns over and sees Irratino.

“woah an angel

"Haha.. no, I'm not an angel."

He grabs Logico's hand, attempting to at least help him sit up.

"I'm flattered you think that, though.. Are you feeling alright?"

Logico rubs his eyes, then blushes extremely.

"oh my god"

Logico is extremely embarrased.

"Ahem. Um. Yes, I am alright. I was smelling the flowers, specifically that one,"

Logico waves his hand at an angel's trumpet flower.

"and then I just fainted."

"Angel's trumpet.. that's poison. They have the same type of poison as deadly nightshade, that causes delirium. You should not even be alive right now, it's a miracle.. to my boss at least.. that you're alive."

Onyx looks back at the corpse nearby. It lies in clovers, something that isn't poisonous. The body also has a wound on the head, meaning it wasn't the doing of the plants.

"I'll tell you who visited before you, I've had a few visitors before. But for now, we should go inside and I'll give you some medicine."

Onyx walks back towards the house and opens the door, waiting for Irratino and Logico to enter.

“Hooray, medicine.”

Logico follows onyx, slightly off-balance.

“Add this to the list of Near Death Experiences!”

Onyx holds the door open for Logico and Irratino.

"The couch is unavailable for now, come with me to the guest room. I'll bring the medicine and tell you who was recently here since that's probably important to know for figuring out the situation."

“Okay

Imagine if the person who murdered the guy outside was the same person who murdered earlier”

"I had some people over earlier: Dr. Crimson, Sir Rulean, and Dame Obsidian. I remember I had rope for reasons that aren't important right now, and the people I had over had a microscope, a clock that was mine but got stolen, and a poison. There were two people outside and Dame Obsidian was inside with me, I was talking about the poison with her. Whoever had my clock was in the garden, I would have noticed if they were on the road, so whoever was on the road had the microscope. I don't remember who had what though, only that it wasn't me or Dame Obsidian since we were inside."

Onyx opens a door for Logico. This is the guest room she was talking about.

"I'll get you some tea, I don't think I have anything at the moment that's good for poison from angel's trumpet."

“Thank you for the information, onyx.”

Logico starts to scratch at his notebook, figuring it out.

"I remember now: the person who had my clock was right-handed, I think I saw them writing something down and using their right hand."

Onyx leaves the room and comes back with some tea.

"I don't think this is going to kill you, even though you were exposed to it for a bit of time and had your face touching the plant. Your symptoms seem manageable, so you'll live."
