Last time you saw him he had gray skin and no eyes. A certain annoying Gaster was also inside him. Does this sound familiar?

Below the cut is a detailed explanation on how Soleil’s magic functions.
Soleil’s body is made of their magic, which takes the appearance of purple fire. They are similar to a magical human. However, they may exhibit slightly above average physical characteristics (such as strength, speed, etc). Since they are made of magic, they are more lightweight and may be faster or seem like they can fly. They do not require sustenance though they benefit from sleep, sun, and oxygen; under duress they may also benefit from food. Soleil cannot get sick under traditional circumstances but they are vulnerable to magic and contaminants (such as poisons and alcohol, or other things that might get ‘stuck’ in their body). Since their magic takes on a flame like form, they have resistance against fire magic. Even though their magic takes a fire-based appearance, it does not actually burn. Rather, it is simply warm, like life force. They are also resistant against non magical attacks; they feel the damage to a much lesser degree. Their body is intangible in the sense of things passing through them. However, they are not capable of passing through walls. This is why most physical attacks do little to no lasting damage. Their body usually remains in physical form, but due to damage certain parts could become unstable and return to a ‘flame like’ appearance. In its raw form, their magic is a light purple coloured fire. Speaking of their magic, they do not have a power source and produce their energy infinitely. Though, for some attacks, and for the best form of restoring their magic, solar energy is needed. Since Soleil is a form made of their magic, their body can take on other appearances. The only issue with this is that it requires a lot of energy to do and even more to maintain.
Being a phoenix, Soleil, is in a sense, immortal. However, the manner in which this immortality takes place is kind of unique. This relates to a passive ability that is similar to ‘scattering’. Since the ability is so similar, the same term will be used. Basically, if Soleil’s body is unstable enough, it will burst into flames. These flames may scatter and die out. However, it’s much like trick fire, once it goes out, it comes back. Eventually, even one flame can be restored to Soleil’s full form. Usually, many small flames will reignite and unite, though. This situation creates a sense of death. The flames die out, but they always come back. In a similar vein, Soleil can split their consciousness and seemingly be in two places at once. However, this is much more like astral projection. Typically, Soleil and their astral projection form cannot be too close together (for example, twice in the same server). This ability is not done consciously, except for in the sense of astral projection. Therefore, Soleil can’t simply split into small flames upon command. Usually, becoming flames, or having flames on their body is from a lack of control.
Aside from their passive abilities or attributes, Soleil also has a few active abilities. This includes healing, creating, and retractable claws. The most simple ability would be their claws. When using this, their fingers become talons, much like a bird. These talons, along with their hands, are black, like the ash of their wings. Unlike the rest of their body, the claws are perfectly solid. This is their only method of attack and defense. It can be used any time on command. Soleil will also use their claws to open portals or wormholes as a form of transportation, typically only between universes. Meanwhile, their ability to create is much more limited in comparison. In theory, Soleil can create anything with this ability. However, it requires focus, concentration, solar energy, and peak health/condition. Even then, the things created cannot have more mass than they do; these creations are not durable and rather fragile. In contrast, Soleil also has a healing ability. This is much more like ‘sharing energy’, since they are a phoenix. The most efficient way for them to share their magic is through a kiss. In this fashion, its effects are internal. Being a phoenix, Soleil also has healing tears which act as a fast healing liquid onto the wounds. However, with skin to skin (injury) contact, Soleil can also heal the wound externally.

It’s late. The hospital room is only illuminated by the light from the moon and the stars gently pouring in from the half curtained window. Opened a crack, a breeze flows into the room for the outside. Its winter. The soft blanket of snow refracts the light of the night sky, making everything appear brighter. Near the window, there is a single occupied hospital bed. The occupant of the room is on life support, the sounds of the machines quietly echo.
Suddenly, Sole appears. Their gaze slowly shifts across the room. Why a hospital room? What sort of universe was this? It seemed to be normal... Based on how minimal their vision had become, it was clear there was very little magic in this world, if any. The half angel’s sight worked best on magical beings and items. Because of this, it takes awhile for them to fully adjust to their surroundings. Finally, their gaze sets to the person lying in the bed. Oh. Right. They were looking for a human body. Slowly approaching the occupied bed, Sole peers at the individual. It does not take long for the half angel to realize that the person is on life support. It is quite difficult to see them... just like a lifeless object. Clearly, their soul was no more.
Wait. Whats this? This person looks familiar..? Sole was having problems with clearly seeing the facial details as well as the person’s body. The human was feminine but not female... They seemed to be an adult, but they had no breasts nor facial hair. Huh. How unusual. Their hair was brown and quite long, as if it had not really been cut in years. Out of curiosity, and since this body was about to become theirs, Sole took a closer look. Removing the blankets, they examine the person in the hospital gown closely and carefully. Once done their full examination, their attention returns to the human’s face. Why did it look so familiar?
No. Way. Sole’s eyes widened. They frown, making a confused expression. Glancing at the terrible scar on the person’s neck, the half angel touches their own throat. Sole pulls away suddenly. It wasn’t possible, was it? .... No... But, what else could it be...? There was no denying it, Sole was looking at themself. The individual on life support lying in the hospital bed was most certainly them.
Frisk. Well.... Sole.... the human.... They were thin and possibly a bit older looking. Their age seemed much less ambiguous, they must be at least twenty. The long hair was the part that confused the half angel the most. Sitting on the bed, Sole becomes lost in thought.
The scar.... It looked an awful lot like the one they had gotten from someone else before... With everything that happened.... The half angel tries to shake such thoughts out of their head. Perhaps... Frisk had been in a coma for a long time? .... There was no denying it, this was certainly a human version of Sole, themself.
Taking a deep breath and deciding not to dwell on it, the half angel gets on top of the body. Their wings start to quiver and fade. Their body seems to falter. Sole begins to pull out a heart shape from their chest. As they do so, their wings disappear and they make a pained grunt. The heart was covered in white golden flames. Their body seemed to be losing stability.... Once the half angel manages to place their core into the human body, Sole’s being is engulfed in the same golden white flames which quickly extinguish, leaving nothing but the human.
Silence. The sounds of the machines. Time seems to stand still. After what seems an eternity, a finger lightly twitches. Soon, the human stirs. Painfully, Sole sits up and begins to remove the life support and other equipment. With a glare... the human magically shuts down the machines before they begin to make noises. Placing a hand on their head immediately afterwards, they seem dizzy. Sole decides that using magic in this body might not be the best idea.
Getting up, the human stumbles to the washroom, turning on the lights. Their eyes adjust and they wince in pain. The mark still lingered on their cheek and their eyes didn’t seem like those of a living human. Sole looks around and finds a pair of scissors. Perfect. They begin to cut away at their hair. Once cut, the remaining strands begin to turn white. It must have been an effect of a magical creature inhabiting a long dead human body. It doesn’t take long for their whole head of hair to be white; short and messy as they preferred it.
After a few minutes of admiring their appearance in the mirror, Sole disrobes. White golden flames cover their body as they make a pained expression while frowning. Once they are fully clothed into something more... interesting... the human sinks to their knees, sweating and panting. Clearly, using magic was very strenuous. However, Sole would need to use a lot of magic to leave with the body. Leaning against the wall, they close their eyes and focus for a long time.
Minutes. Hours. Soon, the sun was starting to rise. Need to focus. Focus... The sound of foot steps. Shit. It was now or never. With that, Sole disappeared.
