An ask blog for the camp camp opposite au I came up with! ------- Camp Camp Opposite Au is where all the characters in Camp Camp have their personalities be opposite. -------(he/him!) (Camper/adult shippers don't interact!!)

What was Max’s father like??😳😳

Kind, while not understanding of Max's autism, tries his best. Unfortunately when Max's parents broke up when he was very little, Max's Mom (Rose) got 100% custody rights and said that if Max's father even came close to their son she would get a restraining order and lie to the court about him being abusive.

He was meant to show up when David was trying to get custody over Max and it'd be a whole situation. Max and his dad had nothing in common and Max didn't feel at home or loved at his house, especially with his new wife and kids who thought he was weird. Max's dad realised how miserable Max was and decided to let him stay at David's, forfeiting his parental rights, on the basis that Max visits him for Thanksgiving and allows him to still be in his life.

If you’re still doing that ask thingy, did Preston have a crush on Max? I remember seeing him with Max in a little comic you made once and he looked all love-struck

Yep. It was more of a kid's version of a crush though where you just think that person is really cute and when Max and Neil get together later on, Max and Preston have a conversation about everything and Preston realises that his crush was a lot more platonic then he thought and he actually just wanted to be closer friends :)

Some opposite au sketches I did after being motivated by some of you guys said privately. I’m so glad that I did this ask blog and did everything I did because I feel like it really helped me grow as an artist and as somebody on social media. The support that I have been given even through a lot of rough patches is just incredible.

A part of me will miss this. Heck, a large part of me does all the time, especially after starting fresh on a diffrent platform that just doesn’t feel the same and is so much more harder to try and grow on. But I know I made the right decion by letting this ask blog go, I did what I had to do for my mental health.

if one of your opposite children and canon children were to be friends who would be the most likely?

Probably Opposite Harrison and Original Neil ironically. They both like science and are quite short-tempered at times.

are the flower scouts and wood scouts opposite too? is jermy... not germy?

Yep. I showed off the flower scouts who were called in this au “Camp for Misbehaving Girls (and Sam who was Sasha but trans)” who basically all looked like tough people but were secretly softies once you actually talked to them.

I never actually introduced the wood scouts, mainly because I really didn’t know what they would have been like. But I think they would of soft as well, a boy’s group to explore their creative side maybe. But yes Jermy would have been a neat freak.

What was the whole thing with Preston? Specifically, the scene where David and him were in the car.

Oh god yeah, I forgot about that. While the idea was scrapped later on. It was basically once everybody had left camp, Max winded up in the hospital from his mom’s abuse and when David found out he told all the campers to see if they wanted to visit him, all of them did but they decided to take people one at a time so Max wouldn’t feel too overwhelmed and there was a two-person visitation rule. So basically they were on their way to see Max in the hospital that’s why Preston looks so sad in the first frame. :)

Now im a bit curious, what would harrison's parents be like?

They think he’s a prodigy for his science skills and they get him all the technology, classes, books, and equipment to succeed, they boast about him to their friends and encourage his dangerous lifestyle which is why Harrison is more confident in this au, even if we didn’t see much of him because I was confused by his character.

Is Jasper part of the au? If so what is he like?

Jasper in this au is well... more like a demon than a ghost, every year after his death he gets worse. And fights with the camp quite a lot.

Fun fact: David killed Jasper! They were both little kids at the time, David was transitioning slowly and Jasper was kind of a transphobic jerk about it. They went to Spooky island and Jasper tried to do some unpleasant stuff to little Davey, in fear, David pushed him, causing his to trip and fall into a pit in which he couldn’t get out of and nobody found his body as he rotted away from starvation and dehydration.

David still feels bad to this day but doesn’t know exactly what happens as he ran away without seeing where Jasper had fallen and didn’t tell anybody, he just went missing like that in everybody else’s eyes. Jasper’s spirit is angry and very powerful with rage, so he’s more able to do things like hold stuff unlike the Jasper from the show.

are all the parents opposite too?

Yeah, I don’t have all the parents thought of but for example, Neil’s dad is like if a high school bully became a dad, he looks a lot like Neil but is a lot more arrogant and mean, plus kind the sexist prick. He makes fun of Neil quite a lot which makes Neil insecure about things like his eyes (which is why he wears sunglasses) and his intelligence.

Nikki’s mom on the other hand is terrified of her daughter and does anything she says without question as to not upset her or cause a tantrum, also buying Nikki a lot of expensive designer items and letting her have her bad influence friends over whenever she likes.

is campbell opposite too?

Yes he is, all the characters are opposite. Cameron Campbell was a kind old man who loved to make children happy and wanted every kid to feel like they could anything they were passionate about, he set up the camp with his own money and the way he is is a reason why David is working there because Cameron knew he needed a job and remembered when he was in camp when he was little. Fun fact: Max goes to camp even if his mom doesn’t pay for it, she paid for the first time but didn’t any other time, Cameron saw the state Max was in and knew that the camp was a safe haven to him and didn’t want to take that away because his mother didn’t want to pay for it.

Unfortunately, due to not having a lot of money for the camp he spends a lot of his time now trying to earn enough to keep the place running by doing odd jobs for the neighboring town, he doesn’t really spend much time at the camp anymore but tries to pop in whenever he can.

David and Cameron have a father-son relationship but if Cameron was a pushover and David was a bratty teenager who knows that Campbell can’t say no to people. Max and Campbell have a more grandpa and grandson relationship that’s very sweet.

does opposite david have any tattoos?

While he also has the swirly ones on his arms that slightly spread to his chest. He also has some more memory-based ones on his legs which he can find more easily like a semi-colon with a date underneath (some people will know what that means), his mother’s face, and a more recent one of the camp camp logo that he got once he adopted Max. Plus some funny ones like a frog with a trans flag in his mouth and a bat playing the bongos

if you had to choose one episode to remake with your opposite au which one would it be?

Probably one of the final ones, though one I will like would really fit is Season one Final with Max and David switched of course, and the other campers pretending to care at the beginning but slowly becoming more and more frustrated with him by the end until the eventual breakdown.

who is your favorite opposite camper (be honest you have to have one)

Max all the way. I loved to draw him and his upbeat energy helped me a lot during my darker times. Though David was more like me personality and our share of problems
