"Though, some of these Unown followed me from my previous home. Not sure why... but I would consider them 'colleagues' more than 'friends'," they shrugged as they pondered the question further.
"As for why they congregate here... well, I don't know your personal beliefs, but these are hallowed grounds for followers of Almighty Si-," they paused a moment. "Almighty Arceus. It is my duty to look over these grounds. Or... rather, the duty bestowed upon me."

Unown had always fascinated Hope. They were beings with a connection with the gods but they were always rather cryptic with how they were connected. She also hardly ever saw them. With the pokemon being found in Whinsain, it wasn't a journey she could easily take with her busy schedule. She realistically couldn't justify taking a trip there to ask them about their role.
Colleagues? Huh. The blaziken wondered how much work the unown put into these grounds. Considering most had been around before the arrival of the smeargle, what specially was drawing them to this particular location? And the mention of a previous home made her curious as to why this smeargle left. It was all so fascinating.
"The responsibility was bestowed upon you? It must be a lot of work to look over these grounds. I can appreciate that. If this area is important, is there anything I need to do to show respect? I wouldn't want to tread in a holy area and not show it the respect it deserves."
The Smeargle tilted their head slightly as the Blaziken inquired about paying respects.
"It.. has been quite awhile since anyone has asked..." they seemed to be in a bit of disbelief. "Those in the past would leave goods; fruits or vegetables harvested, handmade foodstuffs, and the like they believed would appease Lord Arceus. If they were lucky, Lord Arceus would bestow a blessing to them."
They glanced down the darkened hallway of the ruins behind them.
"...I believe respecting the grounds is more than enough today. Far more than the 'Researchers' that have been causing a racket these days."
“Y̷o̶u̷ ̴n̶e̵e̵d̶ ̶f̴r̷i̶e̴n̸d̶s̵,” the Unown(X) stated.
The Smeargle looked up at the Unown(X) with a snarl.

Cobalion, one of the Swords of Justice, is a powerful being that gained the title of "Legend" during an age of strife in Unova. When the original dragon split into Reshiram, Zekrom, and Kyurem; it was the Swords of Justice that fought to keep order while the humans fought for their Ideals and Truth. When the humans' bickering settled, it was Cobalion and his team who reminded the leaders what destruction their fight had brought upon their lands.
Since those dark days of strife, Cobalion can be seen guarding over the eastern part of Unova. Some say it ensures that Kyurem remains asleep in its icy cavern.

Blacephalon is quite the jester. Estranged from its homeland, it finds itself seeking areas of high excitement and merry-making. Areas with frequent festivals may find one or two joining in the festivities or have tagged along with traveling troupes to utilize their natural skills to make attractions more appealing.
However, ones that have grown bored of this universe may end up getting into mischief. If they get into too much trouble, the Guardians of Starlight may hunt them down. Not many know what happens when they are caught, though the Tapus claim they are sent home.

A story about many an unfortunate soul... A story of futility, of hope...
... And the rest, thou shall learn with thine own eyes..."
Hearing their voice, Smeargle lowered their head further in reverence as they tried to keep themselves from shaking.
'This is not them...' they had to remind themselves.
"So it shall be," they say with a bow.
