Commissions starting at $5 for helping the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe

I’m opening limited-time commissions for anyone who donates to the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe and their peaceful protest against the Dakota Access Pipeline.

The requirements are simple: • Make a donation of $5 or more to one of the listed sites to donate • Send me proof of your donation via email [email protected] (I prefer you forward me your confirmation email, but a screenshot of it will do) • Once confirmed, a quick summary of what you’d like (Limit of 2 character max)

• Sacred Stone Legal Defense Fund This group is a separate legal defense fund support for the warriors resisting active construction.

• Water Protector Legal Collective A nonprofit legal organization working with the National Lawyers Guild that is on-site and helping #NoDAPL resistance camps. Covers attorney travel expenses for jail and bail visits, court filing fees, civil and criminal litigation, and more.

This protest against the pipeline has a lot of moving parts. If you have a particular donation site you would like to donate to, please contact me first before donating so I can confirm it as a legitimate donation fund for the tribe.

Even if you can’t donate, please take a moment to sign the petition to stop the construction of the pipeline permanently.

things that are very important to know about felicia ( and this blog in general ): she’s a rape survivor. she’s being questioned by matt ( who acts as her lawyer in this mini series ) after she’s being charged with murder of a man. the man in question drugged her and then removed her suit ( it’s not certain how much of her suit he removed, because it’s only been shown that he pulled down her zipper ) and attempted to assault her. he didn’t rape her, but it was still sexual assault. he ended up dead ( not her doing ) before anything actually happened, to which she’s been taken into custody. matt then asks her if he did rape her, because it’d be a murder motive. he was dead, she was undressed, etc. 

however, when he mentions the word, it triggers a reaction ( as seen above ). she’s referring to an incident that happened in college with her ex boyfriend ryan. – which is shown in the issue after this one.  after the assault during her college years, she’s dealt with shame and guilt before ultimately deciding that she “wasn’t going to be another statistic”. she started training, ‘cause she wanted revenge, she wanted to kill her ex boyfriend. ( until she found out he died in a car accident ).

whenever felicia’s shown in comics we often see her promiscuous side. she has casual sex with  peter, her ex-boyfriend and on-and-off fling ( currently off. ), she’s hooked up with matt once, she’s dated flash, dated thomas ( puma ), who she referred to as her ‘lover’ in marvel divas. earlier in this series she talks about how it’s been a while since she had a boyfriend or a girlfriend, meaning that she’s also has dated women in the past. felicia is someone who enjoys sex, which is a good thing. and i think part of that has to do with her past. she didn’t let it define her, she didn’t let it break her. 

so when characters, fandom, slutshame her for “””””sleeping””””” around ( she’s been called a tramp in an issue somewhere ) i get so mad because EXCUSE YOU.

Hey guys

Thanks for the asks, comments, and kind words. I still plan to wrap up the emoji challenge asks I have in my inbox, but for now I’m gonna take a small break. My grandfather passed away yesterday and I need some time to reflect and recenter.

The most I can say is that you should cherish your family. I have lost one family member every year since 2012 and it never gets easier. I get that some people have to keep their family at arms length, but remember that everyone’s time on this planet is limited.

I’m so sorry I made Pete look like such a dweeb. I consider him more expressive in his mask than when he’s out of it. My headcanon is he found more confidence as Spiderman, hidden behind his mask. Years later he’s definitely a lot less reserved now, but he’s still not as animated when he’s in his civvies.
