((Hey pals, it’s late and I need to go bed, but I’m just gonna make a post before I sleep

All of us have been thoroughly hurt by anonymous messages, but just as bad as that we’ve been hurt by community infighting. There have been moments in the community when people have had huge falling-outs because of a misunderstanding or a disagreement. Some have been reasonable, others have been not-as-reasonable. Either way it makes some of us afraid to talk about our problems in the community.

The biggest fear is that any message you send can be turned into drama. Someone could spin your words into an attack, people might make call outs against you… It’s very bad. It’s not just a problem of this community either, it’s also a problem with tumblr as a whole.

This brings me to my point: sometimes people in the community just want to get across a message without it turning into a big thing. The only downside is that none of us trust a message on anonymous anymore. The only thing we can do is to have more calm conversations about what hurts.

For me, that means sending a message instead of an ask, for others that might mean reading an anonymous message with good intentions. Either way we need to stop making everything into a personal attack and consider the bigger picture))

The Nintendask RP Server is going to be having our first RP event, it’ll be a Yoshi Egg Spring Festival, so there will be an egg hunt, succulents, and flower pot painting!

Hey friends of Nintendask! We’ve put together a discord server specifically for rp purposes. Whether that’s to find other people to rp with, group roleplaying, or roleplaying events, the server has plenty of resources for making these things happen.

There are a few rules though! In order to be accepted into the discord you have to send one of the mods ( @askfranklintheboo , @mushroomcityapartments, @askboonanasnewgroove or @asktheluma) a character reference, and fill out this etiquette form! 

Everything has to be filled out, though none of it has to be brand new information. For example, if you already have a character reference on your blog you can just paste it into the form. You don’t have to include coins/etc if you don’t want to. You can add as much or as little as you want, but it’ll prove that you actually care.

This discord server is ONLY for Nintendask blogs with an emphasis on roleplaying. Non-nintendask blogs will have to find another server, and if you just wanna hang out and talk there’s a general Nintendask discord for that. Your blogs doesn’t need to be active, BUT you have to follow all other rules of applying.
