Recovery Within His Word

I aim to spread the Word! I have a passion for helping others, and making a difference in each life I'm involved in. As I journey through my own recovery of mental illness and self medication issues - as well as many other struggles - I want to encourage and help others fighting the ups and downs in life. His Law, Our Recovery

“My life is always in my hand, yet I do not forget Your Law” 

Psalms 119:109

I believe the life spoken of in this passage is not only referring to your LIFE, but your spiritual standing as well. You are a believer and follower by choice, and choice alone. Whether you chose to believe since day one of your own upbringing, or you’ve made the choice to continue believing in Christ and the Word.

Those who  believe and follow shouldn’t choose to forget His Law. No person or being walking earth today is as perfect as God intended, but we are beautifully made by Him and should honor the gift of life by obeying His Law.

You may not always have the choice to believe as many say you should..I believe God will put a light in each and every heart, and judgement comes from following that light the best way you know how. That is integrity through Christ! <3

As I heard in church this last Saturday, how you change in the year 2016 and on is based on your personal mindset. As long as you allow the world to bring you down and negative thoughts consume you...the farther you’re going to fall from recovering on the right path. Salvation is Everything

Though it may seem that we are to be “perfect” don’t let this verse come on the wrong way. God is the only perfect being, and though He has made each of us in His own image, none are like him. We aren’t meant to BE God, but strive to be like him. Filled with compassion, understanding, and a love that’s unconditional. Remember to make a stranger smile even the slightest twitch of an upturned lip makes the biggest difference to those who hold the little things in life close to their hearts. Stay strong and beautiful, and remember there is a Higher Power out there watching over you each and every day. XoXo -AKT
