Alright so go with me on this- I wanted to announce that I’m having a nice little shindig at my place for the long, holiday weekend. I figure we’ll start things up at around 1:30 PM, and go until we can’t anymore! I’ll be firing up the grill, and taking care of all the food and drink items, so let me know if there’s something specific you’ll want. Otherwise, we’ll do the usual- burgers, dogs, grilled chicken, veggie skewers, potato salad, regular salad, slaw, green beans, the works. Of course we’ll have an open bar, so no worries there. I’m asking anyone who wants to, to bring a dessert of some kind, but if you show up empty-handed you won’t be heckled. Let me know if you want to swing by, there’s plenty to do. And, I’ve got a pool, so bring those suits to enjoy one of the last warm days of the year.

Oh my gosh Oliver, that sounds incredible! And, it’s so generous of you to offer to put something like this together, and to host as well! You can count on me being there, with bells on! I was actually just telling Blaine I wasn’t sure what my plans would be after work, so thank you for helping me figure that out! I am happy to bring a dessert, I’ll make sure I bake a batch of my mom’s famous brownies! Please let me know if you need help with anything else, I’m always happy to assist!

I can not believe it’s September.  It feels like it was just June and now here we are getting ready to  head into autumn.  I hope everyone has a fun and safe long weekend.  I was fortunate enough to get the weekend off and get out of the city for a little family time.  I have a couple of little adventures and fun activities planned for us.  What does everyone else have planned for the long weekend?

You couldn’t be more right Blaine, I’m here looking around wondering where the time has gone! But, I can’t lie, I am so excited for Fall to finally be here! Maybe it’s basic, but, it’s absolutely my favorite season! I hope you have tons and tons of fun with your family! I don’t really have any plans that are different than any other day, I’m working actually. But, that’s okay. It’ll be a short shift. After that, though, I’m not really sure!

I have no idea exactly how this happened, but somehow the stars have aligned to gift me with a childless Saturday night off from work! Maybe this is some good Karma coming back around, or just the universe providing exactly what I needed. Either way, I am thankful. As much as I would love to just lay around in my pajamas, I know I would be mad at myself if I at least didn’t go out for dinner or something. Is anyone free to join?

Now that we are back in New York City, I wanted to let everyone know that this week (Thursday July 28th until Tuesday August 2) will be my last week that I will be performing on the stage for a while, as I leave my show, and the theatre I’ve been with for some time now.  I have booked blocks of tickets for anyone interested in coming to see evening performances of the show.  Just let me know.  We’d be glad to have you out.

[MIKE PRIVATE]: It’s okay.  I just didn’t want you to think we were going to be able to do something this week maybe when it looks like I’ll be in Ohio and I wasn’t sure if you would be too or not.  I’m glad to hear they are working with you so you can come home too.  Yes, I’d still like to hang out when we get back to the city.  I’m doing alright.  I’m glad to be going home because the carnival sounds fun.  And I know of a massage therapist in Lima I can see.  That will be nice; I’ve already tweaked my one shoulder in my two weeks here in the city dancing.

When I figured out what had happened, I was worried that I was good and lost.  Thank God for my phone and GPS, am I right?  Hey Marley.  I just moved here a couple of weeks ago.  I came to study with the Martha Graham Dance Company for the summer for sure, and then after that…who knows.  I’d love that Marley!  I’m in classes or rehearsals every day but Sunday during the day but my evenings, nights, and Sundays are free.  So just let me know when you are.  What brings you to New York?  Are you doing the singer/songwriter thing?  You did a bit of that in high school if I remember correctly.

Yes! Generally I don’t have too much of an opinion on modern technology, but moving here really taught me to be more grateful for the tasks like that, that it makes better. I’m glad you weren’t lost after all though. This is a pretty insane place to get lost in. Wow, really? That’s such a big deal, Mike! Congratulations! It sounds like you’re still getting acclimated- if you need anything, just let me know! Sunday sounds good for me, with work I never really know where I’ll end up during the week or even on Saturdays. Oh, you know, just “the dream” I guess. And, a desire to see something more than Lima, Ohio. I am, yes! Well, part-time, at least. I’m still waiting for that big chance, so in the meantime I’m working as a Veterinary Nurse. You do remember correctly! I’m surprised! I have to ask- off the bat, how are you feeling about New York versus Chicago?

Does anyone else find themselves going on autopilot at the end of the day when it’s time to leave and go home?  Because that’s what happened to me today, but I also forgot I was in New York and came out and started heading home as if I was still in Chicago and leaving The Joffrey.  I got a little turned around and lost.  On the plus side, I found a great Thai restaurant.  How’s everyone else’s Friday going?
