Quinn could have been lying in wait for Oliver, prepared for her very own Scarlett O’Hara moment. It was something that plenty of past iterations of her would have done. As it was, she did put on an outfit she had in a closet in her office for those emergency moments when she needed to impress someone for her business and she hadn’t been prepared in time to go home and change. Despite having a career that often left her on her feet and on the go, she wore heels too, with her long hair pinned back to keep it out of her face. When he called out to her, she approached with a broad grin, the air of Miss America from head to toe as she walked as if she were wearing a ballgown even though she wasn’t and stood with the confidence of a CEO. “Hey yourself, Oliver. Is this what you came all the way out here for? A tour of my new business?”
Ollie heard Quinn before he saw her, the sound of her heels clacking against the floor as she made her way towards him drawing his attention instantly. No matter how many times in his life Oliver laid eyes on Quinn Fabray, there was no denying the fact that every single time felt like the first time, all over again. Though, in their age, he’d gotten much better at hiding it. A grin broke out across his face, and he stepped towards her, keeping his hands positioned in is pockets while he closed the distance between them. “Oh, absolutely! I mean, who wouldn’t want a tour of this place? Look at it!” He replied, punctuating his words with yet another look around the area before settling a gentle gaze on her once more. “I know, I know, you’re struggling to accept that I didn’t come here just to see you. I’ll give you a moment to take that one in.” The glimmer in his eyes and his lopsided smile should have told her he was joking, and he finally closed the remainder of the distance between them, pulling her in for a quick hug before releasing her. “You look good, Q, though I never doubted that you would.”
