To be honest, I am more focused on enjoying my hobbies, and revenge when the need should arise, rather than matters of the heart.

~ Note, this is a canon blog, and there is no indication NHS has any interest in men - he doesn't even seem particularly interested in romance in general from what we see in the novel. We can only speculate his sexuality - but one thing is for sure, he's not gay. An angry man so consumed by jealousy and hatred he does not have the best reputation amongst the common folk and seems to neglect his duties. A teenage boy whose temperament isn't much better than his aggressive uncle's - though he might be a threat as he matures, now he's being influence by Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji, so I should keep a close eye on him... And then there's Xichen-ge! Who is a mess! Yes, perhaps a little because of me, but still!

Now I've revealed my true, competent self during the coffin sealing ceremony and have my sights set on becoming the next Chief Cultivator, I'd say I'm the best!

As for worst... Hmmm 🤔 tough one! If you're talking about someone from the four great sects, perhaps sect leader Jiang - simply because he is too busy following his nephew around in the shadows and whipping a dead man instead of actually helping the people of Yunmeng, as his sect should be...

Seriously? I certainly wouldn't have a panic attack that's for sure, I'm secretly too calm and collected for that.

AITA for wanting justice for my dead brother, who was murdered by one of his sworn brothers?

Basically, my beloved, if a little grumpy, older brother was murdered right in front of my eyes. At the time, I was unaware it was murder, having witnessed him qi deviate into a bloody puddle. Eventually I came to the realisation he had been cruelly murdered by his supposed friend.

Sometime later, I discovered my poor brother had been dismembered, his body parts scattered and hidden to prevent him from coming back as a fierce corpse and seeking revenge. I soon realised this was beyond my paygrade and my lack of skills in such an area would be an issue. So I decided to coerce a depressed and desperate man into sacrificing his soul for revenge on his awful family, effectively bringing a brilliantly minded old acquaintance of mine back from the dead - who was an expert in such things. I had managed to find a piece of my brother, so once the man was resurrected, I released the ghost arm into the area and sat back, waiting for him to get to work solving the mystery and exposing the murderer for the monster he was.

I will admit, I thought framing JGY for some tragic deaths at the hands of his psychotic old friend would help my cause and light a fire under my unwilling ally's ample ass at the same time.

As such, I had to take matters into my own hands and lure some of the junior disciples to a dangerous place by murdering and nailing dead cats to their doors, or putting a feline corpse in their soup and beds at night. It was like herding a group of cats - which, ironically I seemed to be better at doing, considering the amount of cats I had to kill to get the bloody teenagers to realise something was amiss! In the end I had to dress as a common hunter and all but point them in the right direction! Although the children did not perish, as originally intended, it still resulted in a desirable outcome nevertheless.

I had uncovered some sickening truths about the man who murdered my brother and used them in my campaign to utterly destroy him, both body and soul - starting with his precious reputation. I freed one witness and bribed another to come forward and confess what they knew to the rest of the cultivation world.

Eventually all of my brother's body parts were located and I managed to stitch them together in secret. He turned into a fierce corpse and I released him so he could hunt down his murderer. I managed to obtain a front row seat to the bloody massacre that I'd hoped would come about, by pretending to be my idiotic, bumbling alter ego and getting caught nearby.

In another act of revenge and psychological torment, I found out where the man had buried his beloved mother's body and I dug it up and took it away, setting some traps for shits and giggles while I was there.

In the end I had to trick my brother's other sworn brother, a man who had always been very kind to me, into running his blade through the despicable man. I thought this was a particularly poetic justice, having the man betrayed and stabbed by his own sworn brother as well.

Thankfully, after a lot of amateur dramatics on my behalf, my dead brother managed to drag his murderer into a coffin, snapping his neck before they were sealed away, locked in a gruesome battle as fierce corpses till the bitter end.

Am I the asshole for just wanting justice for my brother?

Yes... There are plenty of strays on the streets! I'm cleaning up the local community as well!

And by the way... I did more than just nail them to the doors of the juniors guest rooms. I put a cat corpse in their soup and left them in bedsheets as well.

Those kids took some convincing that there was something amiss I can tell you! I was running out of stray cats!

I had heard of Xue Yang being up to no good in a literal ghost town. I knew something was happening there and that it sounded dangerous.

Xue Yang is one of the reasons my Da-ge argued with Jin Guangyao, so I detest him. I was also aware of his and the Jins attempts at restoring the Stygian Tiger Seal.

Other than that, I only heard about Xiao XingChen bringing the brat to Golden Scale Tower and demanding severe punishment for his heinous crimes, only for him to get off lightly. As well as his friend Song Lan losing his sight in an act of revenge by Xue Yang and Xiao XingChen giving up his own eyes for his friend. Tragic.
