So uh... I’m still alive. Just very very very busy. But I miss this ask blog, so I might dig through and answer some old neglected asks. Feel free to send in new ones. I’ll try to post at least one thing a month here.

Artist Note
Sorry about the radio silence. Things have gotten a bit hectic over here, but mostly in a good way. Artist is going to be starting a new day job soon, the foster snakes are finally going to a more permanent home, and the basement's been flooding. So I've gotten a bit behind and the buffer ran out. I've got a week of vacation time after this week though, so that will all get fixed. Sorry everybody!
Q:"What's everyone's favorite food, movie,and animal?"
A:"Lasagna, Love Actually, and Tiny Goats."
C:"Spaghetti, City of Lost Children, and Sight Hounds."
R:"Mashed Potatoes, Hocus Pocus, and Tropical Fish."
T:"Ribs, Wasabi, and big Dogs."
Q: "I have a friend that I have feelings for, and my boyfriend and I have spoken many times about things and have decided that poly is a thing we could do(as it's always been what I felt was right for myself) how should I approach my friend or other potential lovers about being a part of a poly relationship?"
A:"Basically the same as approaching anyone you're interested in, just with a lot of extra explaining! Especially if they've never heard of polyamory before, be prepared to lay it out for them. In the case of a friend you can even invite them to talk to your other partner(s) so they can be reassured that it's totally consensual. Good luck!"

Hey folks! I thought it might be nice to have SOMETHING up on the weekends, so I'm going to try out "Signal Boost Sundays". First one up is a request to promote This Is Monogamous Privilege. They've just started up, but if anyone can give them some material to get going, its the lovely followers here <3
Just a note, the artist's currently getting their butt kicked by a head cold. There will likely not be a Friday post. Regular MWF posting should resume next week.
Sorry <3

Q: "So is this Chris basically with 3 cis female-bodied people? Are there any other "male" involvements? Depending on how you answer this question I could think you're either the most liberated and progressive people ever or this is yet another form of traditional patriarchal, oppressive polygyny just disguised in liberal tappings."
C: "Wow. First, Tenna has a few male playmates. Second, our configuration is not really your business."
A: "Whats with the "male" in quotes? We're not telling you about our junk. Yes 3/4 of us are cis, Robin's Agender.
Also fuck you, asshole."
T: "Haha! I told you you should stop wearing my pants!"
R: "Pfffhaha, but they look so good on me!"
Q:"This may have been covered previously but were any of you an existing mono couple before finding poly?"
C:"Tenna and I were probably the closest to it, but even then, with her being so active in the BDSM scene, she insisted on a relationship that was at least open enough for her to continue being in scenes."
T:"I did also make allowances for Chris, if he ran across anyone he was interested in sleeping with. We originally only had the relationship open for sex though. It wasn't until after we'd been together a while and Chris met Amanda that we started seriously considering 'regular' polyamory."
Q: "I'm having a dilemma. My primary partner has had a failing marriage for years now. I'd like to say it doesn't affect me, but it does. I tried my best to help, but there was really nothing I could do. They don't talk, share schedules, spend time alone, or really even pretend to maintain a relationship...outside of him faking it for the kids, and her half heartedly faking. The kids often ask him if she's happy, if she loves him, or things like that. What do I do in this situation?"
A: " Support him. Just do your best to be a good partner. It's hard, but what he does about his marriage is his thing. You can offer advice if he asks, but there's not really anything else you can do about it.
If it's affecting your relationship with him, say something. Otherwise, though, it's something where you should step back a bit. Don't turn other peoples' problems into yours. You can't wave a magic wand for this, unfortunately."
Q: "My partners and I (metafetishism and languagewench) share a blog with another partner (golden-marahute), and are seriously considering moving in together. Part of the idea of combining resources for the group as a whole to have some buying power is to form an LLC or some other company form that depends on our income and can be used by all officers (members of the house). Any advice for something like this?"
A:"Consult a small business lawyer? It depends on how you're using it. I've heard a little about polycules using LLCs as a way around marriage law issues, but I haven't researched it. If you're starting a small business plan far ahead. Write up plans/contracts in case anyone wants to leave, or needs to be removed from the LLC. Have clear rules for use of funds. Have a business plan."
Q: "I recently followed, so you may have answered this before, but how did you end up in a poly relationship?"
C: "Tenna and I had been dancing around getting together for a long time. Not long after we did, with her insistance on an open relationship, I met Amanda."
T: "I was iffy about Manda at first, but Chris was WAY into her. I expected a Vee, but then I got to know her better."
A: "It was weird at first with Chris and Tenna, but soon I loved it. Thenmy online friend Robin joined us"
R: "Manda introduced me to 'her couple' at a con. We all got on great, and this happened."
