So yeah, I'm still not giving up on this blog! I just have to get better at managing my time and getting my procrastinating under control! I really do want to keep working on this blog. So it will come back eventually and hopefully soon!

My pony as a human. Didn’t know what to do with her leg; didn’t sketch it long enough so i just made it a blob of color so i didn’t have to cut off too much of her kimono.

Unlike the Equestrian Mainland, Chineigh is still full of wild magic! Nature has more free will and instead of controlling it like ponies on the main continent, Chineighse ponies work with nature!
In fact, there are many legends about how we Kirin first came to be. One of my favorites says that long ago the spirit of a cherry blossom fell in love with a dragon and with the help of a powerful unicorn, it was able to become a unicorn and be with the dragon. When the cherry blossom tree finally became a pony and shared its love with the dragon, the very first kirin was born. This is my clan's favorite legend and as a result, every 100 years kirin will take a dragon partner.
So, if a Kirin cooperates with nature and nurtures it, their horn will slowly becom more wooden. A fully realized and powerful kirin's horn will look like that of a cherry tree branch.
((I meant to deal with Void pony's asks in-story but I haven't been able to work on very much for shimmer and I wanted to do at least a small update. = x = Also, YAY FOR NEW MARKERS!!!!!!!! I FUCKING LOVE COLORING IN COPICS. I GOT INKTENSE PENCILS TOO. YAAAAY. EXPECT SOME MORE TRADITIONAL ART UPDATES IN THE FUTURE. I LIKE TYPING IN CAPS SOMETIMES, OK?!))
((Here's the Zapple logo. That's what I guess the ponyverse's version of Apple/Macintosh would be. Made sense to smoosh Zap Apple into one word. I mean, it uses apple's old logo when it used to be rainbow but with a lightning bolt since lightning makes zap apples grow. On the back of a laptop/computer the leaf and lightning bolt would glow.))
((Expiramenting with lineless flats. I'm Pretty happy with my backgrounds.The computer screen took way longer than I wanted and I ended up making it more complicated than I could have. At least now I'll have a good template for later! I also changed her English font because this one has an apostrophe and it was getting too tedious having to put one in by hand on the other one.))
((Finally! An update! So much for getting through the move before vacation. @~@ I played way too many video games. I just....missed video gaming so much. But like, man am I proud of the lighting. I have so much trouble with lighting but I think I improved a lot with this piece. The horn glow is still stupid, but it works for this answer.

Hey guys! I'm sorry I haven't been able to really post anything. The semester is winding down and the work is piling up! But as soon as it's over Dec. 14 you can expect more updates! :D I'll also be opening up commissions in an effort to bring in gift moneyor my friends and family. Hopefully I can get some decent examples done by then. In between now and the end of the semester, I may be able to squeeze in some of the miscellaneous asks, but I'm not sure if the answers will get past sketches before then. This is what I've been procrastinating with lately. Hopefully when I finish it someone can give me the code to have Yue run around the blog while you look around. X3 I'm gonna make the "canvas size" (so to speak) a little bigger once i tack on her tail. I'm not sure whether or not to add her hoof fluffs because she's complicated enough as it is.
Also sorry for like uploading and deleting an reuploading this post several times. I was trying to make sure the .gif was working and then i decided to add some other pics to it.

Here's a drawing of Yue I tried to do in the Last Unicorn style while I try to organize myself. It failed miserably. I can't wait to get back to drawing asks.

((I did not use real chinese, just a highly stylized font. Also, i feel really bad about not spiffing up the first to panels but i want to be done already. I feel like i improved a lot through drawing this all nice and pretty. Don't expect this painterly style unless its super duper important or something. This takes freaking forever.
