This is a birthday story for @mysteryideasgroup who is turning twenty one with their characters Sapphire the kitsune and Sarah her owner. Hopefully you love it and sorry for it being short and simple.

Time is at stake here and she needs to do these things quickly before her owner wakes up. Sapphire, a female kitsune with red, black, and white fur, a dog collar around her neck, and eight tails swaying around. It’s her owner’s birthday today, Sarah, who should be still asleep in her bed. The kitsune had to wake up super early in order to get everything ready for her birthday. It’s hard to do it when she’s not human and isn’t allowed in stores to get gifts and a cake. But luckily, her old city is filled with both kitsunes and humans in a secret dimension that has stores that can help her. It’s a good thing that she has that power to teleport to her homeland in her kitsune and human city. As she teleports, Sapphire arrives at the train station with all the humans and kitsunes porting and deporting from the dimension behind her. Now, she’s able to get the things she needs for Sarah’s surprise party. Starting off, she knows that her city has Sarah’s favorite store called Hot Topic, or HT for short, a place where the human would buy merchandise from shows and movies that she loves to watch like T-shirts, mugs, posters, and so much more. That is the first stop Sapphire will make.
At the HT, the kitsune looks around and finds herself a couple of items that would be great for gifts. For example, there is a T-shirt based on Sarah’s favorite ghost show she watches every week. Sapphire doesn’t know much about it, but she’ll do her best to get her the best gifts possible. Sapphire goes around the store and picks out a t-shirt with the title of the show, some posters for Sarah to hang them up on her walls, and a nice white and black mug with the characters and the show’s title on it. Those seem like what Sarah would like. So Sapphire brings it over to the cashier as she pulls out a couple of twenties from her collar, buried in her thick fur. She might consider doing that more rather than getting a wallet or a purse. Now that’s done, she’s going to get the cake. As for the decorations, her friends are setting up the party in Sarah’s house as she should still be asleep. They also had the wrapping paper too so Sapphire just needs to wrap the gifts once she gets back home. So hopefully they don’t wake her up as they’re working and decorating.
As she walks around the city, she finds the bakery where Sapphire is supposed to get the cake that she and the others had ordered for Sarah. Inside, the baker there had already seen the kitsune come in and grab the cake she ordered. “Here you go.” The baker says with a smile on her face. “One deluxe chocolate cake.”
Sapphire is relieved that the cake had made it on time. Using her tails, which were holding onto the bags of the gifts, she grabs the cake from the baker’s counter top and wraps it around carefully. Now with those things collected, she’s ready to go home and get ready for the party.

At the house, Sarah had finally woken up from her bed. She looked at her alarm clock which reads 9:38 a.m. “Oh crap!” She realized as she got out of bed in a jolt. Her pink, long hair is a mess with bangs and tied up in a bun. “Hopefully I’m not late!” She knows it’s her birthday and she didn’t want to sleep in late to miss out on all the fun. Rather than getting ready for her day, she goes downstairs in a hurry to make sure that her friends weren’t calling her on her phone, that for some reason, had left on the living room couch.
But as she gets down, Sarah is in for a surprise. “Happy Birthday, Sarah!” All of her friends cheered as they saw their birthday friend running down the stairs.
In a jump, she’s immediately shocked that her friends had been in her house the whole time, decorating the place with banners, balloons, and confetti. “Whoa, did you guys do this as I was sleeping?” She asks.
Sapphire comes forward in her kitsune form, happy to see her owner this excited about the party. “We sure did. We were just waiting for you.” The kitsune says as she nudges her face with her nose. “In fact, we should get started with the gifts.” It’s the first thing they had put down on a list.
“But I haven’t even gotten ready for the day yet!” So much to do but so little time she has.
“We can do that later.” Sapphire eases her, using her tails to lift Sarah up before putting her on the fluffy kitsune’s back. “Let’s have some fun!” Walking over to the table for the gifts, Sapphire puts Sarah back down on the floor, going behind her to make sure Sarah wouldn’t try to faint if she were to open the things they got for her, including Sapphire.
Sarah starts with Sapphire’s, joy and excitement pumping in Sapphire’s body once Sarah starts unwrapping her gifts. The first thing she got was the poster boards for her favorite ghost show she adores so much. “Awwww, that’s beautiful!” And she knew exactly who gave her this. Turning to Sapphire, she hugs her fluffy chest with all of the human’s might. “Thank you so much, Sapphire!” The kitsune wraps her tails around her owner, happy to have picked the right gift for her.
“You’re welcome. Open the rest.” And so they let go and Sarah begins to open the rest of the presents. From cash, clothes, games, and movies, they’ve all meant something special to her, happiness. She goes around the room, giving everyone hugs and kisses. She’s really enjoying the party so well. As for the cake, Sarah had been the one to cut the cake since it was her birthday. She takes the first piece of the cake and eats it along with the rest who had a piece too. They ate it, how amazing it tasted and smelt. Sarah loves the flavor, again with the help of Sapphire who knows her owner all too well. So what else is there for the party to do? That is for Sarah, Sapphire, and her friends to find out soon after they finish up the cake.
