Hey, long time no see! I'm surprised this blog is still gaining traction despite it ending about six months ago.

Thanks for your continued support! I really appreciate that this AU can stay alive in some small way.

So, this starts a little earlier then when I started the blog in Feb 2025. Sometime in December, after my first surgery, I learned that all the friends I made this AU with were dead.

Granted, we haven't been friends in years and I left the group on bad terms. However, it felt very sobering to realize that I was the last person left, and I might die before my second surgery. I thought to myself, if I live through this surgery, I would try to find pieces of the blog, and just repost it.

If you recall correctly, askshadowsilver disappeared overnight. Very suddenly. I won't get into specifics, but I had to avoid a stalker which took me away from the Internet for a good long while. So, I was nervous to repost underneath the same name and worried that this person might start looking for me again. However, that didn't happen.

I survived my surgery in Jan 2025 and started to use this blog as motivation to get out of bed. I healed poorly and needed more treatments, but I did heal. However, in June, that's when my treatments started, and when the whole computer corrupted through OneDrive, I just gave up.

I had too much on my plate to really try and retell this story. I still do and I'm still not exactly out of the woods in terms of my health improving.

Though it brought me a lot of joy to revive the blog and make stuff for it again. I hope that I was able to bring some of that happiness to you all as well.

Bad News

My computer corrupted during a backup and destroyed a lot of files. This blog being one of the files lost.

The good news is, I'll be able to recreate anything I lost but this entire thing made me feel very discouraged. I just didn't expect to lose this all again.

With everything going on, a reminder this blog has been run by an intersex, nonbinary, aroace since 2015, and there are futures for us during this month.

(Glad to be of help mod Nyx! The feeling is mutual. Don't worry, i am not one to break character! This way of writing always makes me think "One step at a time, there is plenty of time to send questions." It's refreshing and fun, a nice break from the busy life.)

Shadow: As for the artifact, I'll send a photo of it to your comm. Disregard the file name, that's Rouge's doing.

[Received Blackmail on Shadow] Shadow: She always yells "think fast" and like an idoit, I grab whatever she throws at me, each time.

Shadow: No need to investigate, the scepter seems pretty useless and empty. If anything, it reminds me of something I saw in the White Space* a long time ago but… the item looks different then the one pictured here. This one has horns that wrap around the red jewel in the middle where the other one didn't have those features.

Shadow: I hadn't planned on bringing Rouge but she's better at understanding all this treasure hunting nonsense. If anyone can find out the history behind something, it's her.

Shadow: Silver's friend, the alternate Blaze, would be good to take along too. From my understanding, unlike the Blaze that visits us from the Sol Dimension, this alternate had been displaced at an earlier time…  Wonder what would happen if the two Blazes met…

[Shadow shifts to look at the incoming data on the limiters]

Shadow: Probably no different then what happened to me. There's just simply another one of her.

Shadow: … Hm, if Silvie still exists, then we have two Silvers too. If this is a trend, remind me to jump off the nearest cliff the moment we have two Sonics.

I'm still reading the comics but the minor character growth I gave Shadow for "slightly more cooperative" has become a major character growth. Unintentional but kinda funny.

I kinda prefer leaving some stuff off and ambiguous but I wanted to draw at least a lil bit of the dream share + conversation following Silvie's Dream Infiltration.

I'm currently reading the IDW comics since they're canon, and will be updating the plot to be video game + IDW compliant, and my older canon can just stay bundled with Yellow Shadow / Turmeric here on the blog :0

idk how to string this together for AO3 reuploading, but like I got some time to think on it...

It almost makes it funny because the knife I gave Silvie looks like Mimic's knife and I kinda wanna figure out how to use that haha
