Descending Stars
A young girl about 18 years old, walked out of the small musical bar, her show ran a little late then normal it was dark now, she groaned tiredly as she hated to walk at night, it was when the weirdos came out.
She cut through the park on her way home it was shorter to her home from the musical bar, as she walked through the park, she couldn’t help but glance up at the sky.
She watched the stars as they sparkled, the moon shined so bright it was so beautiful, she liked the moon, looking at it every night gave her some kind of peace. She was sitting on the bench, staring up at the stars and moon, in the distance, she could hear some wobbly footsteps, slurred mumbles, She got up, taking those two hints as it is her time to leave.

The young girl stood outside her large house, for the rest of the night, the reason for it, because she forgot her key, the young girl is called Sydney, Syd for short. Her parents are these VERY popular models, they are NEVER home.
She is rather lonely, no true friends, no pets yet, she turned on her heels and went for another walk, she went back to the park, she found a small black cat(Kuro), she stared at it for a little while, should she?
She looked around before picking the cat up, she petted its head, “are you lonely too?.” She asked in a gentle tone, trying to sound less sad but it wasn’t working, figures.
She smiled “I’ll call you, Kuro.” She said happily, “you look like a Kuro.” She said with a nod.

Feeling being picked up, he blinked sleepily several times to adjust his view and his surroundings. He recognized the girl for being the one from the last night and he left a long yawn, only to look at her even more surprised at the name given. The girl probably didn’t know the things needed for a contract, so he decided it will be safe for as long he won’t be given an object. Letting another cute yawn, he curled in her arms burying softly his head to her torso to block the sun hitting at his tired eyes at the same time trying to give the girl some type of comfort. It was easy to pick the sadness in her tone, but he still was quite too sleepy and there wasn’t much he could do to begin with, especially in his cat form.
Sydney held the cat close, she sat down on a bench, she watched as people walked by her, she patted the cat on the back of the neck once and while She watched people walk by.
in the distance she saw one of her maids, with some bags, filled with stuff for the house, she carried Kuro, “Let’s go, you can live with me, in my home, it’s warmer and comforter than the park. She left the park, carrying the little cat.
It wasn’t long till she caught up with the Maid, She smiled at her “Here let me help you.” She said as she takes a few bags.
The maid smiled happily, “A cat?.” She asked, tilting her head to the side, she sighed, “I’ll go get some cat stuff.” She said as she turned around. Sydney stopped her, “I will go get the stuff for the cat.” She told the maid. She smiled happily
Kuro happily laid on the girl’s lap, it was rather more comfy than the hard bench he was just sleeping in, though he was awakened once Sydney walked up to her maid. He looked sleepily at the situation and didn’t do much. He considered that maybe spending there a day wouldn’t be bad, he could sneak away later, but when the girl offered to buy cat stuff he wriggled slightly off of her hands to drop on the ground to his feet. Spending with her some time was okay, but if he would stay there more the girl would see him transform into a human-ish form which wasn’t good. Plus she’d waste her money. Not to upset her though, he left a very slight sigh before walking over to the door that he assumed was theirs. He left a cute sleepy meow as he rubbed himself against the door, trying to hint for them to just get in the house. Well if that wouldn’t work, he could always run away. But risking a contract? that seemed rather troublesome to him right now, he had no motivation for this, but he thought maybe just staying with her for a bit would lighten her mood before he would make his way.
The maid opened the door, went into the large house, begun her work.
Sydney just stood where she was not a single step closer to the opened door of her home, the home that felt so empty inside it.
She shook her head “Kuro, you will stay right, be my friend, never betray me like all the others?.” She asked tilting her head to the side “people use me when they see that I have a large house.” She said as she frowned.
She picked up Kuro, petting him on the head “would you stay?.” She questions him, watching him waiting for answer, she smiled, “let’s go inside.” She said with a nod, she gently kissed the top of his head.
“If you decide to stay, I really would like it.” She said taking a small pause for a moment “but I won’t force you to say if you don’t want to.” She said looking away when she said that, she had a bit of pain in her tone.
Anyone could see that she is lonely, but judging by the way she is acting, she would never admit it if someone asked her.
He sat on the ground observing the girl as she spoke until she picked him up, letting a slight sigh as he lumped on her arms tiredly. She might have said he is forced to, but her tone was completely showing just how too hurt she would be if he left. Once inside the house, he looked around the place lazily. It did seem quite big and wealthy, but it wasn’t really something that he valued. It may have looked impressive but it’s obvious just how much the family likes expensive things and to show off. He yawned uninterested. When they reached the girl’s room he gently jumped off of her hands to sit on the bed. Staying there, maybe wouldn’t be such a bad idea if he was only a cat. He decided that he will let the girl see his true side once the sun goes down, then she could decide on her own whether she wanted a stray lazy vampire cat at her house. He sniffled around the nice scent of the place, it was quite comforting. He also glanced out of the window to see how much time left for the sunset, it was still somewhat high, so the girl could still be happy of her newfound kitten a bit longer he thought. A bit lazily though slightly intrigued he pawed softly a small orb that was on the sheets, playing around with it sleepily.
Sydney watched him play as she also read about cats, “do you like the toy?.” She asked happily, she looked back down at her book, she nodded as she read.
Her way of knowing that she’s understanding it. “I think it would be so cool if you were human, Kuro.” She said with a little sigh
She looked out the window, still morning a bit. She got up and stretched, it was time for her jog she does everyday. She put on some sneakers and headed for the door to leave “be Good Kuro.” She said with a small nod, then she left quietly.
Not really minding her questions, he continued to softly push the orb around the sheets, though her saying it would be better if he was human somewhat put him off guard. Why would anyone wish their cat to be a human, that was odd. She should have had picked someone else than a cat, he thought. But that she suddenly left also got him a bit surprised. He sighed before curling on the bed lazily “human sure, not a vampire” he muttered to himself. Not feeling like really exploring the huge house or bother the maid, he decided to nap to spend his time until the girl would come back. Probably nothing would really haunt him in a random person’s house he considered, unless they owned a dog. Leaving a loud yawn, he got himself comfier slowly dozing off.
