Water that’s easiest to work with... definitely fresh water. it’s harder when there’s lots of stuff in it that i have to work around.

gem water is the easiest! i just create it from hydrogen and oxygen in the air, so it’s pretty much as pure as pure can be.

but the water that hasn’t been drained has been pumped full of solutes for quick gem formation. it’s almost impossible for me to work with. and without the oceans the air was so dry, and lifeless, and... i felt so vulnerable. it didn’t feel like home anymore.

in a way, i’m glad to be back on earth. its oceans are so full of life... it feels almost like the old days back home.
