Tommy runs into Erik's livingroom, his school backpack still slung over his shoulder as papers flutter out. "Hey, gramps, you free this weekend? Mom and dad want a date night and mom says we aren't allowed to stay at the Sheild base for our team anymore because Loki tried to teach Billy a sleeping potion and I drank it before it was done and got really sick so now we need constant adult supervision," Tommy rambles just as fast as his uncle, and only after he finishes does he realize his homework has scattered from his speed and start picking it up
Erik quickly hid a pin board that was outlying his next plans for world domination. “Of course Tommy.” He said genuinely happy to see his grandson. “Tell you what, once we’re done with your homework we can go see a movie?”
"Sweet! Let me go get my siblings! I bet their homework is already done though..." Tommy thinks for a moment before running off, his bag left on Erik's floor. When he returns seconds later he had Billy and Vivian, the synthezoid daughter Vision built during his and Wanda's split a few years ago. Wanda hasn't mentioned her much aside from talking about the kids as a group.
Billy smiles, "hey, grandpa! You might wanna put a metal vest on Tommy to keep him at the table while he does his homework, he's figured out that not many people can actually keep him in one spot and while he'll do most of his history homework, math and science he blows off."
"Hey!" Tommy frowns as Billy battles on him.
"Please do not argue over this again," Vivian mumbles, she didn't bring a backpack, or an overnight bag like her brothers, and she hasn't stopped floating a couple inches off the ground either, and her voice has an oddly emotionless quality to it despite her mumbled plea and that seems to catch the twins attention and worry them
“Hello Vivian, it’s nice to see you again.” He said kindly. “And I won’t restrain Tommy with a metal vest, because if he’s like his uncle, that would be the worst torture imaginable.”
"It is nice to see you too, sir," Vivian nods.
"Vivs, why did you turn your emotions off again?" Tommy asks his sister. Vivian does not answer his question, instead picking his backpack up and holding it out to him.
"You should get started on your homework." Vivian then turns to Billy, "you did not finish yours in class today, you should do yours too."
Billy sighs, setting his bags down and pulling out his homework. "She's been doing that a lot lately and mom and dad can't get her to say why... you're pretty closed off, grandpa, think you could figure it out?" Billy grabs Tommy's arm and pulls him towards the table to get their homework started as he speaks
“I am…not the best at getting people to open to me.” Erik admits with a sigh, getting started on his mother’s recipe for hot cocoa.
“Vivian, is there a reason why you keep switching your emotions off?” He asked concerned. “Be it practical or personal?”
"I have noticed I have had mood swings recently. It is not a glitch, like the time I became homicidal out of nowhere. I suspect wires have come loose in my emotional cortex, as I have not been programmed to experience the hormone shifts of puberty, however, I cannot ask my friends for help fixing such an issue either. My emotional cortex is in the rough area an amygdala is in a human brain, so the rest of my processing components would need to be removed and that is very risky. I do not desire to hurt my friends or family emotionally or physically, so I turn my emotions off when I feel myself getting too upset too easily. In humans this would be considered a trauma response, but I am not a human and it is very advantageous," she explains in a very flat voice, without ever blinking. "Wires coming loose has unfortunately become a recurring issue with me. I was not designed to be a superhero, only a teenager. The more I fight villains the more issues I come across in my own construction"

Loki stands in the bathroom, leaning against the counter and intently staring at themselves as they shapeshift at a quick pace, trying different hair lengths and colors, using magic to style it between color swaps, going through every possible combination they can think of. Nothing was meeting their standards just yet and it was starting to upset them
Scott hears a frustrated noise coming from the bathroom, and he raises an eyebrow. Someone was struggling with…something.
But as he continues down the hall, he realizes his initial thoughts were wrong. “Oh! Hey, Loki,” he greets as he stops at the door and watches the rapid changes. “Whatcha doing?”
“Ohhhhhh,” Scott says softly with a nod. “I see. Gotcha. Okay well,” he pauses as he thinks for a moment before asking, “is there anyone you trust or feel comfortable with taking care of your hair?” @askthesecondgenerationavengers
"I mean... I trust you in general... but there's nobody I trust specifically with my hair... it's not like I really think about it much, I mean clearly, I didn't get it cut for 5 centuries," Loki sighs
“Hhhmmm,” Scott scratches his head and thinks for a moment about this. “I literally can’t think of anyone who knows how to handle hair this long and this, uh, in need. Can I ask you something? And please don’t take this the wrong way. It’s just I don’t actually know how this works. Especially since your shapeshifting lead to this. But umm, when’s the last time you washed your hair?”
"Oh I wash it every time I shower, the hygiene part is easier to remember because I struggle to mask scents with magic. It's also why anyone with super senses can see right through my illusions, only the original smells like anything"
“Oh that makes sense. I hadn’t thought about that. Okay that’s good to know,” Scott nods, still thinking this over. If he knew anything about hair, he’d do this himself, but he knew squat.
“Okay well,” he shrugs, “I’m wondering just how much of your hair can actually be saved. Can your magic make your hair grow faster than normal?”
"Yeah, there's all kinds of growth spells," Loki shrugs
“Perfect!” Scott answers with a big, relieved grin. “In that case, I think the best thing to do is to just cut it all off. Maybe even as short as mine if not shorter and then you can grow it to whatever length. And healthy hair should grow back.”
Loki nods, "that sounds like a reasonable plan..."

"I am at war with my own hair and losing," Loki grumbles, moving on from blonde to red hair options. "Ugh, I hated this phase," they grumble, skipping the rest of red hair and going to strawberry blonde instead. "Why is it always the hair? I never go to war with any of my other features, but my bloody hair always looks like shit after a while!" Loki swears under their breath as they cycle through length, texture, and style for this color
Since he hasn’t been at war with his hair since he was in high school with his unruly hair, longer then to show off his curls, he can’t really speak on the matter very well.
Instead he thinks of Cassie. “Usually when Cassie’s having trouble with her hair, it means it needs a haircut to give it a spark. That or the humidity is messing with it.”
Loki thinks for a moment. "I can't remember the last time I cut my hair... I suppose that's one of the downfalls to shapeshifting..." they drop all magic and shifting, the room drops about 10 degrees as their skin turns blue and their eyes red, their expression slowly turning to one of shock as their dark hair gets long enough to drag on the floor and looks fried. "Oh... I guess its been a few centuries..."
Scott gasps at the sight of Loki’s hair, too stunned to see the hair all the way to the floor to remember his manners. “Holy crap, Loki! You need a haircut stat! No wonder your hair’s giving you a hard time, it’s trying to tell you something!”
Loki starts to nervously laugh. "Its been at least 5 centuries, Scott..."
“Haircut,” Scott says firmly with a nod. “Today. Your hair will thank you.”
Loki let's out another nervous laugh, "y-yeah... at least I didn't forget to take care of my nails... or, ya know, any basic hygiene stuff..."
“Yeah, true,” Scott answers with a nod. He notices Loki’s nervousness and says, “Hey, what’s wrong, huh? Nothing to be shaky about.”
"The last person I let cut my hair was my mom... I've never been to a stylist or anything..." Loki runs their hand through their hair, feeling how dead it is

White Vision had dropped off Vivian before his mission with not much time to let her know of any specific care the synthezoid girl needed.
Vivian glanced around, she'd been around the twins a few times but usually not with Wanda to watch them. She uses her holographic disguise feature to make herself look human, like a tiny Wanda. She looks like the same age as the twins, and her programming put her around that age mentally, but she was definitely uncanny as she looked around without emoting
Wanda sighed as Vision flew off.
It was pretty weird finding out her ex had made a version of her. And then made a version of what their kids could have been. Then again. She had also done both of those things. So… who was she to judge.
At the current moment she just had to watch this little girl and take care of her. And try not to worry too much about Vish… she could do that. This was fine.
Wanda smiles warmly at the girl.
“It’s lovely to finally meet you Vivian. Your father has told me so much about you.”
"The pleasure is mine, Miss Maximoff. Father never stops talking about you," Vivian nods, her socializing even more awkward and off than Vision's ever was. "Thank you for taking me in on such short notice."
Tommy speeds over excitedly, "can we build a fort, mom? Vivian's really good at pillow forts!"
Billy nods from across the room, "she makes them unmovable!"
“It’s Wanda honey. You can call me Wanda.” Wanda replies.
“Yes of course! Why don’t you go play with the boys and I’ll get lunch sorted out. What do you usually eat Vivian?” Wanda asks.
"I don't... I have no need for food..." Vivian admits, seemingly sheepish or embarrassed by it. "Father only purchases food when Billy and Tommy are over..." she doesn't even really know if she can eat. But she doesn't want to admit to that.
"Dad also has timers set because he can't remember when to start cooking otherwise," Billy chuckles, walking over and grabbing Viv's hand. "Cmon, let's go!"
Tommy speeds off towards the kids room as Billy opens a magic portal
“Well that makes it easier for me. Have fun kids!” Wanda replies with a wave.
“NO RUNNING IN THE- oh nevermind.” She huffs with a smile.
Before too long Wanda has finished the food. She made extra just in case Viv wants to try some.
She follows the sounds of childhood up to the twin’s room. Leaning for a moment against the doorframe to watch them play.
Vivian has built a huge blanket fort that looks extremely sturdy. She's not playing, though. She's sitting in the middle, watching the twins. They try to include her, but she doesn't really understand any of their games. The twins seem used to this, like it's normal for Vivian
Wanda moves to go sit by Vivian. She closes her hands together and they glow red.
“Vivian. What’s your favourite color?” She asks like she’s got a secret. Her eyes twinkling.
"I enjoy pink and green..." she pulls on the pink and green strands of hair that frame her face in her human look. "I prefer a more red pink, though, not a soft pink..."
Wanda nods and then opens her hands. Inside are two little butterfly hair clips. One green. One more red pink.
“I always wanted clips like these when I was little. It’s helpful to keep your hair out of your face and it’s fun to decorate oneself don’t you think?” She asks.
Vivian's face lights up seeing the clips and she scoots closer to Wanda. "Oooooh..." it's the most she's emoted the whole time. "They're cute... I just tuck my hair behind my ears..."
“I used to do that too. But the wind drove me crazy! Want me to put them in for you?” Wanda asks. “We could do some tiny braids and clip those back.” She suggests.
Vivian nods, looking as eager as an actual kid. "Yes please..."
Wanda smiles softly and takes the face framing pieces. Braiding them gently while softly humming the song she used to sing to her boys.
She gently clips both pieces back and smiles at Vivian.
“You look beautiful Draga.”
She giggles and smiles up at Wanda.
Tommy and Billy grin as Vivian starts to open up
“Now. Boys. Dinner is ready. Why don’t you two eat while I hang out with Viv alright? That way we can have some girl time.” She smiles at Vivian.
The boys run out of the fort to go have dinner. Vivian smiles back, "I've never had girl time before..."
