OOC Announcement

Hey all, Since I started a full-time job, it has become apparent to me that I need to make some difficult decisions about how I use my spare time. Sadly, while I love you guys loads, and have really enjoyed playing Vorik, tumblr roleplaying takes time and energy I simply do not have. This was a hard choice, and I will always miss playing with you all. I am sorry to anyone who was waiting on replies for me or waiting for me to come back; please know that I wouldn't be leaving if I felt I had the option to stay. It has been fantastic playing with everyone on here, and I urge you to stay in touch with me via my main tumblr account, fuckthespacepatriarchy. I am also happy to hand the account and/or character over to anyone who wants to take over playing Vorik - please message me via the above tumblr, as I will no longer be accessing this account. Even though AskVorik is on hiatus, the Mun is the most fantastic Vorik (from star trek) Role-player I’ve even seen. The nuances of the character that are nailed are perfect.

OOC Announcement

Hey guys! Really sorry, but I'm going to have to put Vorik on hiatus for a while. My new job is currently eating all my time and spoons. I'm going to try and return to him when I'm settled down a bit more. I will be checking back periodically to pick up messages, but don't expect any meaningful activity for about a month. Sorry to everyone I have current threads with - it is with great regret that I make this announcement, as I have heaps of fun playing Vorik. I just don't have the energy at the moment. :(

“Indeed, Romulan traditions differs greatly from that of Vulcans when it comes to relationship rituals and the like. it’s what I’ve grown accustomed to,” she said.

“Most Vulcan marriages are arranged, so we do not have courtship rituals as such. We will, as always, take the approach that seems logical. I did a small amount of research into human customs back when—” Vorik paused, evidently re-thinking what he was about to say. Even he knew mentioning B’Elanna would be a little tacky in this situation. “—some time ago. However, I could not find much information about Romulan customs. Perhaps you could enlighten me, so I know what you will be expecting.”

“Unfortunately, the Romulan tendency to draw out courtship customs is rather renowned. When it comes to them I see some parallels to Human customs especially, so if that is what you know of, I believe it would be sufficient,” Verelan said.

"Acknowledged. Now that matter has been taken care of, shall we resume your studies? It is standard practice to begin with meditation, which lays the foundation for self-discipline. Are you in a quiet and comfortable area?" Well, that went relatively smoothly. Who ever said Vorik was terrible with women?

Counselor, I say this only out of concern for your safety—if I were genuinely in the condition you suspected, it may not have been so simple. Adrenaline and loss of inhibition can make for a highly volatile opponent in a fight. That having been said, I do not know much about Trill physiology. And Lieutenant Torres managed it, after all.

True, my physiology is physically inferior.  But you forget that I have the experiences of Emony, an Olympic gymnast, and Jadzia, a cunning warrior well versed in Klingon martial arts.  Not to boast, but I can handle myself quite well when it comes to flexibility and agility.

“I did… Although, honestly, I’m not sure if I would ask anyone.  I don’t know very many Vulcans well enough, I feel, to ask.  A mind meld is a very intimate thing.  I would be very grateful, though.”

Yes I made a colosseum. Just a small one though, it did take a bit more energy to place all of the arena floor traps, it’s a work of art and I really wanted to test it out. Maybe I should get that demi-god I met once to fight some things in there…

No didn’t believe it for a second you’re too much of a wuss… wait I know. I’ll get giant robots and have them do battle in my arena. It shall be a war of robots. A Robot War! I should see if the drunk curry guzzler would be interested he has the right sort of voice to announce metal things destroying each other.

If I understand the term correctly, a "wuss" is someone who refrains from risky or potentially injurious behaviour out of fear. This is incorrect, as I do not experience fear. You will recall I have also been involved in combat before. Furthermore, although building robots is an interesting prospect, it would be both wasteful and unethical to force them to fight each other.

“That…Would be correct,” she said, a bit uneasily. Verelan had been told and had figured out a fair amount enough for herself that Vorik preferred straight-up answers rather than dancing around to subject.

Ezri shook her head sadly.  ”It won’t.  It is a little more complex than that.  I’ve been receiving treatments and have recovered some of my memories using Vulcan mediation, but I’m afraid I’m not very well versed in it.  Ambassador Spock was kind enough to teach me the basics.”  She paused and thought for a moment.  ”Would you happen to know of any other - perhaps more advanced - methods of mediation I could try?”  Her eyes looked sad, but hopeful.

No offense taken, Vorik.  Morn used to hack my PADD a lot back before he got his own tumblr.  Caused quite a stir at first, too.  So I sympathise with your predicament.  And I mean that if you had fought Q, you would have lost and may have been killed.  So that is why I would have stepped in and apologised in advance for knocking you out… once again…

No solid suspicions, but the facial expressions and body language of several individuals on Beta shift indicate that it may have been a group effort.

I need names Vorik, or go see commander Chakotay with the names?
