It’s ironic.

When I worked in fast food for minimum wage, they would yell at us and lecture us about “stealing” fries and burgers (while we had to throw out TONS of food every day) as though the giant billion-dollar corporations of McDonald’s and Sonic couldn’t afford to give their employees something to eat (while not even paying us a living wage).

Now I work at an upscale restaurant (it’s fancy, like celebrities eat there fairly often) and not only do I make WAY better money but they give us 2 free meals a day (eaten on the clock) and they’re GOOD. Today I got baked cod, spring rolls, rice pilaf, stir fry, and mashed potatoes and eggplant. Oh, and free espresso and juice. From this restaurant owned by a local man who is in no way a billionaire.

Obviously money is not the issue, valuing your employees as people is.

Pokétweak #16: Electivire

Type: Electric/Fighting

The fighting type more or less came from the fact that Electivire really gives off the vibe of a fighting type with how huge and imposing its design is and I think Electivire would have been a great candidate to try out this new typing.

Abilities: Motor Drive/Sheer Force/Iron Fist(HA)

Overall while Motor Drive isn’t the overall best ability I think it’s helpful enough to the point where it could get some use and the fact that it adds an immunity really helps give Electivire more chances to switch in on attacks. Sheer Force doesn’t really need any explanation in my opinion because it’s more or less he same reasoning behind the fighting typing and I already waffle on enough as is. Finally there’s Iron Fist, which came from the fact that Electivire’s move pool seemed very punch based so I thought I’d give it an ability that took advantage of that.

Stats: HP=75 Atk=123 Def=67 SpAtk=95 SpDef=85 Spe=95+10=105 Total=540+10=550

This is probably one of the most reasonable of the stat boosts I’ve done since this is more or less similar to how Game Freak normally handles stat boosts after they started doing it in generation 6 with Pokemon like Raichu/Pidgeot who needed some stat buffs after the slow power creep in later games. Overall the +10 to speed came from me wanting Electivire to at least match Electabuzz in terms of speed, since I feel like evolving your Pokemon should never reduce stats unless it’s a complete shift like with Scyther to Scizor.

As a man who is in love with electabuzz I must admit that technically like scizor both electavire and magmortar are full shifts electabuzz is faster cause he's smaller and less bulky then vire. But he's also physically weaker. While ectavire becomes bulkier with more hp and atk gaining him the ability to live most asks electabuzz can't not to mention that Atk stats already insane.

This happens in Venezuela. It looks like nobody knows how is our crisis, because I’ve talked with a lot of people (Americans, French, Canadian and even Mexican people) who really don’t know what is happening.

I’ll explain the imagen.

In Venezuela, we haven’t medicines, even in the hospitals. This is because a patient with hypoglycemia is being attended in this way, because the hospital don’t have dextrose for the people. This is happening in Caracas, Venezuela’s capital. But not only in Caracas, is confirmed that in Maracaibo too, and who know where too.

Another cases:

“I take prednisone for animals because I can’t found it anywhere and it helps me, isn’t logic, but our health can’t wait”

“Confirmed, I’m medic performing in so many decadency. We even’t have privates places for dextrose for decompensated diabetics and believe me I could write for hours about so many that I’ve lived in the middle of this catastrophic crisis, where personally I’ve take with me a hurted pacient behind of a 350 because we haven’t ambulances, where we haven’t gloves for protect ourselves and a lot of  things like that, this is the reality…. Since 2014, our crisis is worse with the health zone. There’s no too many medicines, and a lot of operations and treatments are delayed for this same reason.

The hospitals don’t have spaces, litters or beds for the patients.

If you go to a farmacy, there’s no medicine.

A lot of hospitals are in a terrible state.

Supplies that were lacking in public hospitals included sterile gloves and gauze, antiseptics, alcohol for medical use, scalpels, needles, catheters, intravenous solutions, nebulizers and surgical sutures. It was even common to lack basic cleaning supplies (such as bleach), which are essential to ensure a sterile environment in hospitals. Unhealthy conditions have led to in-hospital infections that could have been prevented.

And this is only talking about the health zone.

If we talk about the food shortage and the hyper inflation…

We must do LOOOOOONG lines for hours for buy the basic food. Like flour, sugar, rice, pasta, meat, chicken…. 

We only can buy one time at the week, for the last number of our ID. 

If you search in Google “The next Venezuela”, you’ll see we aren’t a country anymore. We are a level in the shitmeter.

Y'all this shortage of necessities shit had been going on in Venezuela for at least a decade. I have never been able to help because I don’t know what charities are allowed in or out of Venezuela and I don’t trust the people who run those charities to tell the truth.

Please - someone IN Venezuela. Give me a name. A valid website. Something. I will do my damnedest to make something happen, even if it’s just a few families getting fed a few days.

This is the first time I see a post on this site about my country and it breakes my heart… Because I want to give you names of charities so you can actually help us but I know people that tried to donate meds and food but our fucking goverment blocked that help. They refuse to accept aid. They are so fucking sick of power that just don’t care about us.

The only way we have to fight this crisis is through social media, we use twitter to find meds and food and we came up with a few apps like Donamed or Akiztá to help us find what we need.
