Nusantara Folklore Week Day 5: -Deity- "You know how people could have love and affection?" I remember an older man I know asked me. I shooked my head "No" "Well, there was a God and Goddess loving each other named Kamajaya and Kamaratih. They're like a symbol of love and everyone adored them. Then one day, there was this strong enemy who want to attacked their land. Kamajaya was being sent to wake Batara Siwa (the only God who can help them) who was imprisoned. Batara Siwa who finally awakened was angry and looked Kamajaya with his third eye that made him burned in flame. Kamajaya was died. And Kamaratih who sunk in deep sorrow willingly asked Batara Siwa to also burned her so she could forever with Kamajaya. After their death, the other Gods regreted it and asked Batara Siwa to revive them. Nusantara Folklore Week Day 4: -Flora- For her it's not merely a golden fish. It's her best place she could share joy and sorrow with. That's her first time having a best friend since her father's death which always understand and give her support. And she lost it in no time. With a griefing heart, Bawang Putih burried the remaining bones at the back yard. She cried and her tears droped to the ground where she burried the bones. Nusantara Folklore Week Day 3: -Transformation- As the Giant was about to reach her, Timun Mas opened the second pocket containing needles. A dense thorn forest appeared as she spread the needles to the ground. It made the giant injuried trying to pass the thorn forest. Timun Mas continued to run as far as she could. Away from the giant. Nusantara Folklore Week Day 2: -Fauna- The Mousedeer mocked the Snail cause it walks way too slow. Shortly, they held a race to prove who's move faster. Absolutely the Mousedeer felt so much confident that it just walked around. But the smart Snail tricked the mousedeer to win the race. Snail invited it's friends to quietly lined up along the way to the finish line so the Mousedeer would feel always left behind from the snails in front. And thats how the Snail finally beat the Mousedeer. Mousedeer and Snail is so so memorable story for me. Nusantara Folklore Week Day 1: -Curse- This is a story from Singosari era. The story starts when Ken Arok, the first king of Singosari asked Mpu Gandring who has a supernatural power to make a powerful kris (kind of dagger) in only one night. After the kris was finished, Ken Arok stabbed Mpu Gandring with it. Before he died, he stated a curse that the kris would kill 7 offspring of Ken Arok _which is really happened (although not only from Ken Arok lineage). It killed 7 people from Singosari royal elites including Ken Arok himself. I think she should be Indonesian MVV (Most Valuable Villain) 😃😃 'cause almost everyone know her and she hard to be killed (even she still alive after 3rd season!)
