Considering Gilbert's troubled history, I think he'd be happy he's finally settled down and is enjoying retirement with someone who's strong and dependable.

He's happy not to look too much into it though.

Thinking about it off and on but the issue i have with complaints with ukr's boobs being too big is that 1) ive seen people with much bigger tits than hers and 2) they really do be boobin around like that when they get big. Like frankly. Her and erszi just got them knockers. I dont think its feninist praxis to take their boobies away.

So I'm not local to NYC, and I haven't been following the mayoral race too closely, so feel free to ignore this if it’s annoying (or repetitive, based on what you've already said). But I’m curious, could you share some specific problems you have with Mamdani? I'm not a huge fan of everything he's said, but I find most of what I know about pretty easy to accept in the grand scheme of things. I'm just trying to get a sense of whether there is a reason behind the dislike of him that I'm missing!

He's inexperienced and a prime example of being an "activist" politician, for one thing - and NYC has plenty of both already.

His proposals are generally vague but ambitious (or ambitious but vague) and have very little details about how they should be implemented - I've talked before about his housing and grocery store ideas - and will run smack up against both the bureaucracy and tedious requirements (even after the ballot propositions that passed tonight) and the numerous interests who will fight him.

He has little successes or record to point to for his time in the Assembly, and several of the things he's voted for raised concerns.

Almost everything he proposes will need partnership and buy-in and approvals from both the city council as well as the state legislature and the governor - which means negotiations and delays (especially in terms of new taxes which he will need and which he wants). This will either result in moderating or dropping his ideas.

His victory margin is the lowest for an incoming NYC mayor since Bloomberg, which people see and note, and which came about as he ran against a disgraced former governor credibly accused of sexual harassment and misuse of office who was endorsed by Trump and numerous other figures you shouldn't want backing you.

He has either made statements that are antisemitic or not discouraged antisemitic statements, and he gets disingenuous (at best) when talking about them.

I just don't really trust him and I think he hides behind how attractive he is and the memes and imagery, and that he allows people to really do projection and wish fulfillment with him in a way that is parasocial and offputting.
