Im in toronto and 2 years on testosterone. May i ask how your exereince was with macleans clinic?
Hey there Anon! It’s been about 4 years since I had surgery, so I don’t remember all the details.Having said that, I 1000000% recommend Dr McLean. Him and his staff go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. I personally wanted to go to him because I liked his results best, and was pleasantly surprised by how great everyone there is.If you have specific questions, feel free to message me off anon and I can answer them privately.

Four years post op! It’s been a rough couple of months for me. I’ve been dealing with a back injury that, on top of being very painful, has kept me out of the gym. This, consequently, has brought on a heaping plate of dysphoria. This type of dysphoria is something I really thought I’d overcome, so it’s been unexpected and unpleasant to have it rear its head again. I’ve been trying my best to go to gratitude though, because I know I still have a lot to be thankful for. The back pain and dysphoria have been reminding me how I felt before surgery, and reaffirming how absolutely necessary it was for me. I’m extremely lucky not only to have had access to surgery, but to be able to choose the surgeon I wanted. Medical interventions aren’t for everyone, but I’m glad I realized this was something I needed. Even if I’ve lost a lot of muscle mass, I’m thankful every day for this chest.
Hey! If it's not too personal to ask (you really don't need to answer anything you don't feel comfortable sharing) Did you use anything to treat your top surgery scars? They look beyond amazing! I've heard of guys using bio oil and honey even, i'm having my surgery real soon so i'm trying to prep with some good scar care products. Thank you.
Hey there!I used a homemade cream on my scars. Alex Haney came up with it, you can find the recipe here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ijm0GILHPyc .I changed a couple of the ingredients because I have a some allergies. It was a while ago, so I’m not 100% sure what I did haha. I know I used only cocoa butter, instead of a cocoa/shea butter combo. And I think the cocoa butter I found had extra vitamin E in it. When I first started using it, I put it on three times a day. Once in the morning, once after showering, and then again before bed. It can take a while to absorb though, so don’t put it on right before going out or you’ll have some strange looking stains on your shirt! And just make sure that you’re not putting anything on your scars until the incisions are 100% closed. It happens at different rates for everyone, your surgeon should be able to give you a time frame and some advice. Hope that helps and good luck with surgery!
