I overall enjoy the wilds mizutsune theme but it feels like they’re so incapable of cooking as hard as they did with so many original monster themes. With wilds mizu and stuff like iceborne glavenus it feels like the very unique old themes lost everything that made them super unique for the sake of sounding like they fit the rest of the game’s soundtrack

I vastly prefer (with exceptions like brachydios in iceborne) when they just brought the same theme back like in GU
