Can you please inform me with what happened on the Twitter hack? Thx :)

Well first off it wasn’t a hack. It was a tweet made from an iPhone of all devices and it didn’t have the same trademarks as a hack (such as the hacker asking for followers, tweeting more than once, promoting their hacking profile etc). But the basics are this.

Everyone who has harry on alert for twitter got the alert he had tweeted and it was a link. I know I assumed it was a link to his single or another song or perhaps a presage for his album so I clicked it as soon as the banner was on my phone and it pulled up a defunct smart URL link as well as a photo/quoted post with the simple caption “then and now” with a photo of Louis sipping a drink in 2012 (I think?) paired with a photo of Louis sipping a drink from this past Sunday. The photo wasn’t connected to the link, it was just part of the same tweet. The link remained dead until about 30 minutes after the tweet was posted. In the meantime there were no new follows, likes, or tweets made from the account. Once the link went live it redirected to an nsfw masterpost and _that_ was very likely a hack of the smart URL. Within minutes of that redirect going live, the tweet was deleted from Harry’s twitter and here we are now.
